Well this game is ok ,but when you beat it gets kind of boring.Its not the best game I have played for my playstation.I have a few reasons why
For one thing it gets so boring after I beat it .After you have beat it and gotten all the eggs you just run around killing all the bad guys
For another the cameara angle stinks.When you are in the boss levels it turns at the wrong time getting me killed.Otherwise this game ok I guess but it still getts a three star rating.

This game is one of the things that proves there are still absolutely SPECTACULAR games waiting to be played and loved on the PS1. The plot is similr to that of Disney's Monster's Inc. Small bits of humor are spread out all-through the game. Albeit some of the jokes are just dumb.

GRAPHICS: Good for PS1 standards. The animations are fun and sometimes kinda funny.

GAMEPLAY: Varied, with lots of things to do. Its a huge game that doesn't get old to the very end.

SOUND: The music matches the levels and is very good. I'd say the same about the voices.

Ultimately this game is worth far more that the $ dollars you pay for it. I recomend it for EVERYONE who likes video games.

All the spyro games are all fun and Exciting. If you like an ausume adventure game this is the game for you. It has very good graphics, fun activities, many challenging levels of fun and excitment, this game is hard to beat as well as the other two spyro games. I suggest 8 and up would be apropiate for this game.I give this game 10 out of 10!!!!!! You wont be disapointed or mad that you wated your money. All the spyo games are great!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game is the best of all!!! You can play as Spyro,Sparx,Hunter,Shiela,Sgt. Byrd,Bentley, and Agent 9!!! You can drive veichles and very few people in the world dislike this game. This is great for all ages especially kids who are not interested with violence. This game is also hilarious. I mean in Midday Gardens when you free James and he shoots Moneybags with his missles. Whoever hates this game should change thier mind emediatly!!

Spyro: Year of the Dragon is an awesome game. It's challenging in a way that makes you want to keep playing, unlike some games that are so hard that you get totally frustrated and have to stop. You fly into mythical worlds, defeating villians and collecting gems by completing various tasks. You can fly, swim, charge, dive, and you can also skateboard in certain areas. You are assisted in your tasks by fairies and many different kinds of friends that you meet along the way, including penguins, cheetahs, a dragonfly, panda bears, and many other animals and people. You complete worlds one at a time, gradually adding on to your success, and the game gets harder as you progress. You beat a number of worlds in a larger section of the game, and when you complete all the worlds, you beat a horrible enemy to progress to the next large area. There are also surprises and bonus points for doing certain things in each world. When you beat all the worlds in each large world, you go on to the bonus round, which is quite difficult, and then you finally beat the game. I haven't beaten the game yet, but I plan to soon. I would definately reccomend this game...it's the best Playstation game I have ever played. If you are only going to buy one game for your Playstation console, this should be it, hands down! But I wouldn't reccomend it for young (under 8) children or children who aren't really interested in video games, because it can get to be really frustrating sometimes, especially for kids under 8. But overall, this gets TEN stars on my rating. A best buy!

This is a GEAT game! It is a great adventure game. Even though the graphics aren't as good as PS2, it is still a great game for all ages.

wow could this game be any better. it makes the other two look weak in comparasin dont let anybody tell you its exacacly like the other two it isnt at all. you get to play as 4 new characthers sheila the kangaroo sgt byrd bentley the yeti and agent 9. wow you get to ride on a skateboard drive a submarine pilot a flying saucer charge down enormus superpower ramp. everything is so detailed youll come across ships towers villas snowy moautin peaks and more. dont listen if someone says its like the others. theres so many off the hook additions in this game it will have you laughing in joy. moneybags hunter professor zoe all look better than ever more challenges puzzles side games everything. the bosses were harder spyro is peforming at his very best youll get to pull of insane skateboard tricks. its off the hook and moneybags develops a personality in the game too. and the replay value is incredible ill find myself coming and coming back for more. man how can anyone notr like this game its boring in the first level. but the last 3 worlds you go to are so much fun. in the 3rd world you get to box a yeti with bentley. collecting eggs is cool theres more gems powerups off the wall additions it is excellent. bottom line- this is an amazing must have game for anybody but especially spyro fans. it might seem boring at first but it progresses in the last 3 worlds. youll get to battle dinosaurs fly a plane in a world made of crystals fire down herds of ninjas collect gems skateboard and beat minibosses side puzzles. excellent excellent game you wont be disappointed. god even hardcore gamers would like this superb title. and if you own a playstation this is the first thing youd want to buy. i cant get over how good this is all the worlds have vastly superior envororements to the other spyros. youll get to roll down a slide in crystal islands fight off tanks in an egyptian cave portal free a deputy locked in prizon by sdinodsaurs. off the friggin hook an amazing must have game for your playstation. since it starts to get exciting in the second world youll have to play it trough to enjoy at its best have a good time.

This game provide hours of enjoyment for any Spyro fan or even if you aren't a Spyro fan, you'll love this game. Spyro: Year of the Dragon has a bunch of new features. I'll start with the coolest one first, you can play as different characters such as Sheila the kangaroo, Sgt. Byrd the penguin, Bentley the yeti, and Agent 9 the monkey. I did I mention that Sparx is now playable. Each character has it's own unique set of moves, my personal favorite character is Sgt. Byrd because, not only can he fly, but he can also launch rockets. Sheila is the worst character because she is hard to control. Bentley is okay but he moves too slow and Agent 9 is fun to play as since he has a totally cool raygun. Another new feature is that you can ride on a skateboard and pull of some sick tricks. The story in the game is an evil sorceress captures all the dragon eggs along with her helper, Bianca. So its up to Spyro and Hunter to take back the dragon eggs and defeat the evil sorceress before its too late, but Hunter ends up falling in love with Bianca. The graphics in this game are not to far from perfect and the game itself is amazing, its one of the better games for PSone and still remains the best Spyro game. Although that, in my opinion will soon change because the new Spyro game looks incredible.
