Out of the 3 Spyro games (not including the new one for the PS2) Year of the Dragon is the best one. Just like the previous versions, your mission is to collect gems and this time, dinosaur eggs. The more eggs Spyro collects, the more "worlds" are open to him. Some eggsd are hidden in the levels, but a lot of them need to be earned by completing challenges such as skateboarding.
Year of the Dragon lets you take control of four characters besides Spyro. Sheila the Kangaroo can perform a high jump as well as kick enemies with her feet. Sergeant Bird has a rocket launchers and can fly forever. There's also a Yeti and a monkey named Agent 9.
The controls are easy, the graphics are nice and the sound is not bad.. you can't go wrong with this one.

Im being verrry dramatic but this game is absolutely wonderful.
i truly reccomend it. im being as sincere as sincere can i get.
who ever created spyro is a genius. I looooove getting the green toad, spike, scorch and the sorceress. It's cool. My favorite characters are Hunter and Bianca. Their cool. Im addicted to spyro and so is my little sister.
PS. I PLAY IT LIKE 10 HOURS A DAY IT SO COOL. I KNOW IM EXAGERRATING.

two spyro games out of the four come within a flaw of being the best riptos rage and with its superior sound qaulity unlimited gameplay interactive envirorement and extrodindinary challenges this year of the dragon beautifal worlds unlimited gameplay and a new cast of characters all playable sheila the kangaroo sgt james byrd bentley the yeti and agent 9 the chimpansee plus all the great characters of riptos rage are returned and improved sparx zoe hunter moneybags the proffesor awesome bosses buzz spike and the soceress collect eggs there the fortune of the world theres 149 of them superior qaulities interactive worlds untraditional greatness plus the unlimited power you have such as the ability to ride a skateboard a submarine a high flying saucer plus headbash spit fire cannon hundreds of abilitys more gems more veichles possibly more unlimited than riptos rage enormus homeworlds new opstacles mayhem and new baloons its an unlimited game for the unlimited player definitly a game spyro fans will appreciate

on my crash bash game,i acessed a demo(when it says Playstation,hold l1,r1 and [] and then press start.it has 3 levels,skate park,molten crater,and seashell shore.the 3rd one is my fave.after i beat it,i played it like a vaction,swimming,eating the 'seahen',and playing in the sand.lol

even i HATE spyro my sister loves , and guess what i play it too
it's very entertaining ,you have three or five worlds in each of those worlds you have to get gems and eggs and if you don't you're toast 'cause you're gonna need them when you get to the last world you'll need 149 eggs and 15,000 gems,yep that's alot of stuff you need to get + if you're gonna get this game GET A MEMORY CARD,if you have a ps2 you can still get a ps1 memory card it'll work ,but not for ps2 games just PS1 okay? or maybe you can get an x-box and that way you don't have to buy a memory card , ok smell you later dudes!

Well, well, well, I see the eyes of a big time gamer looken at my reveiw... better give ya some info. Now if you hav'nt bought or at least PLAYED spyro 1 and 2 your gona have a tough time with Spy spy. (sorry, thats his nick name I gave him)You wont get frustrated though, it's simple once you turn into me and play it non stop through lunch and dinner untill midnight every night for two weeks when you first buy it!(no, I'm not kidding, I did that when i bought it! Come to think about it, I STILL do that...)And it takes some practice to move your thumbs in the right order fast enough so you don't sit there and try to figur out where that dumb button was to turn that cutsie spy spy into a diffrent color or make that sweet kind dragon happy by Changing his skatbord into a squid, but you'll have fun when you DO push the buttons right and he has a yellow coat of skin on his back! By the way, how you can get cheat sheets for this and other games is go to playstation.com, tell it were in the world you are by pressing like... south america, then go to cheats! It will say, "if at first you dont sucseed, cheat!" find the cheats for your game you want to cheat on, and print it our or get a pen and peice of papper! But beware, once you start play'en you aint never gona stop!!!Trust me you'll love it!And the cheats will make ya love it even more!Hope you buy this game! have fun with those cheats and dont stay glued to for to long! -J A R-

i bought all three spyro's games for my grandson and me to play together. he is only 4 and we have finished them all with help from him lol. i wrote sony and asked if there would be a spyro 4 and they said yes but it is not out yet. then they dropped the bomb on us. they said it would only be for the playstation 2 people. that is not fair. some of us don't won't dvd or the other stuff. all we wanted was the playstation one. why can't they make it for all of us and then we would all be happy. if you loved spyro then write to sony and tell them how you feel. if enough of us do that then maybe they will change their minds. spyro lover to the end.
