Driving games are my favorite and GT2 is hands down the best driving game on any platform, PCs included.

With hundreds of cars to upgrade and drive, the game never seems to get old. The replays alone are worth the price of admission.

It's not for little children because they will get frustrated with the learning curve but anyone else who enjoys racing or driving games will love GT2.

This game stole many hours of my time. You'll want to stop but maybe after "just one more race". Yeah, right.

All I can say is.....WOW! I've been playing this game for a few months now and am only 67% complete! The liscensing alone takes quite awhile but is very rewarding when you are done. The arcade mode is great fun when playing with a buddy, but the sim mode offers such in depth racing that I find myself up late almost every night! I've won, bought, and sold over 100 cars so far and I am still running races to gain money for more! Helpful hint, as soon as you can afford it ($2m credits!), buy the Suzuki Escudo. It is the burliest car in the game and is great on dirt and paved tracks. What are you doing reading this, go buy the game!

All of the things that made the original Gran Turismo a great deal of fun , GT2 does better. The graphics are slightly improved but the addition of off road competion is worth the price of admission. The racing is much more evenly matched, the cars are more adjustable,and there are just so many of them. Two license levels can be transfered over from the original GT and it is a good thing because the three remaining levels are difficult to pass. Lovers of the previous version will love the new tracks , cars ,and closer competition. Highly recomended !

... This is the best racing game ever created. [Few people realize] that all of those 500+ cars have to be licensed by their manufacturers according to their wishes. If Honda or Chevy doesn't want to see their cars turned into flaming hunks of charred aluminun then thats how its going to be. Think of all the work that went into that and then try to realize what a perfect game it is. They took 500 cars, animated them individually for 20 tracks at hundreds of different angles. Then they took them and calculated dozens of different modifications to parts and settings, added sound, and then put all of those cars together, on the track at Laguna, with a rumble controller, for only [$] a shot! Are you all crazy! Stop complaining! The graphics are great, the cars are great, the tracks are great, the sound is great. I won't say a thing about the music though. Just try to think happy thoughts about that. Boy, it feels better to get that off my chest. ... Buy this game...right...now.

This is for the best driving game ever...GT2 RULES!

I have mastered GT1, and have gotten GT2 and it is just as much of a blast as the original, it has a couple of problems but all games have problems. It makes hours seem like days so much fun that it is hard to stop playing I have played it for 2 days straight and it is as much fun after 2 days as it is for the very first minute I started playing! ..A must for driving fun....

don't buy it unless sony fixes it

there are too many bugs in this game and sony needs to fix it. you can lose your whole garage in this game. you can't finish the game cause they rushed to get it out before christmas and they left off drag racing. they can't spell. the races aren't restrictive enough. the game is good but we shouldn't have to deal with all the bugs since we payed forty dollars of our hard earned money for it. if you bought this game then you should return it and get your money back.

This is without a doubt the most involved game I have ever played. Their are so many races and so many cars you may never tire of it. I have had this game for over a year and might be able to beat it within the month. I have completed 96.5% of the races and the amount of time I've spent is amazing. I've won some 250 races. Some races can take up to two hours. This game is awesome? Buy this game and you'll be playing it for a long time.

The graphics and control in this game are great. When you get up into some of the higher levels you need unreal reflexes to keep the car on the course. Can't wait for the PS2 version comes out.

GT2

Fun game but don't appreciate the problems with the game. The most you can complete is 98.2 % because there is no drag racing like indicated in the manual. Watch out if you use the test track too many times or all of your cars will be deleted out of your garage. This is unacceptable from Sony to release a game like this just so they could get it out before Christmas. There are other errors also in the game but it does have its good points.

Gran Turismo 2 is the best racing game I have ever played! It offers realistic graphics and life-like sounds. I like the ability to customize my car and to watch the replays after I beat the computer. A neat feature is that there is a 2 player mode in the "arcade" cd. You can load up the car that you worked so hard to make perfect in the "simulation" cd and race your friends against their car that they say will will beat your's. This feature makes it so much fun because you can race at many different tracks. I would recommend this game to anyone that likes any racing game and to those who thought GT1 was good, try this!
