Gran Turismo 2... If you are into cars and racing, this is your game. I cannot stop playing this game and my friends will not go home. Never had a video game affect me this way before. You know; "JUST ONE MORE LAP".

Gran Turismo 2 is a step down from the excellence that was Gran Turismo. Having compared both games today on my PSX I will say that the graphics of GT1 are cleaner and sharper than those of GT2. I can tell that an attempt was made to improve the light effects and car models of GT2, but what ended up happening was that everything looks muddier. Also, GT2 is too bogged down with complexities. Also, the races and game menus also seem to load more slowly. If you want pure racing thrills and a superior game get the original Gran Turismo.

This is the worst racing game I have ever played, you start out with a car that can only go about 60 mph at the maximum, and even then, you spin out on about every corner. Spinning out is way to common in this game, if you are behind a car and try to go a little to the left or right to pass it, you could spin out, it takes all of the speed out of the game, and the tracks are short, boring, and few. I would much rather have less than 500 cars in order to get more interactive tracks, instead of having over 500 cars, which is pointless because you aren't going to use them all unless you dedicate you life to it!! The tracks are one way, there are no shortcuts, no ramps, no signes that you can run over and knock down, nothing. With the bad tracks, too many cars to use, and the terrible control, this is by far the worst racing game I've ever played. It would be a better value to buy San Francisco Rush for $...than it would be to buy this game for $...

I got this game for my 13th birthday (7-8-00) and I play it all the time. It's incerdible the grphics are awesome and the game play is amzing (a bit hard). If you like racing games you have to get this one!

Gran Turismo 2 has everything in it to be a great seller: great selection, sound, graphics, control, and just down right fun. One great part of the game is the fact that you could do a simulation race (make money, buy cars, etc.) or arcade races (single races). But, the best part has got to be the selection of cars. You get everything from Ford to Fiat and from Chevrolet to Lotus. I rank it as a best buy! - John

This game is better and the cars are badder than ever! More tracks to race, new cars to drive, and better chances to make SOME HARD CASH!! As you upgrade your car it becomes faster and better that what the shop sold you, and there is also a chance of having race paint on your car. In GT you beat even the world champions, got the best cars, ruled the tracks, and made more than a million. Well it's time to challenge more cars, conquer more tracks, and new champs to beat! If you don't buy this game, you're missing out on some racing of a life time, Well what are you waiting for? Bump all cars in your chance of victory money! This is a racing madness. It's catching hold of you. Buy this game and rule the tracks!

Outstanding - A true blast to play. Especially the "endurance" racing in 30 or 50 laps. Both my daughter and I play this at least two or three times a week! Increditble graphics, performance. I love the Toyota Supra Turbo, as I am an owner of one of them. I especially like the mods - as eventually, I transfer some of them to my real-life Supra!

The sequel is surprisingly leaps and bounds better then the first version of GT. I find it amazing that one of the best driving games I have ever played has been improved! Great new tracks, the dirt tracks are an excellent addition not to mention the music is equally outstanding. Can't wait to check on part 3 on Playstation 2!!

If you are a racing fan or you just want a game that will keep you occupied for a while then this is definitely the game to buy. It is the most realistic and the most in depth racing game ever. In fact it may be the best Playstation game ever.
