Best racing game yet!!!!!

This is just the latest version of the best racing game ever, that of course being Gran Turismo. If you've played the others then there are no surprises here, just better graphics and a few more courses. Another difference between this Gran Turismo and all of its predecessors is that you actually have to change the oil in your car. While racing, your change oil light will come on, and after the race you'll have to take it to get an oil change which will improve performance and HP. This game is by far a must have for any PS2 owner. It's incredible graphics make it worth the small price to upgrade over GT1 or GT2. I highly recomend it to anyone who isn't completely opposed to racing games.

eye-bleedingly good graphics, great soundtrack, tons of cars, (and not just japanese ones, like some racing games), percision handling, tons of tweakable options. What more could you want?

This game is amazing. The visuals are close to perfect (dust is a little obvious, trees never blow in the wind, etc.) and the physics engine is even closer.

You can't mash the pedal to the floor and ride the outside rails like you could in previous games. Hitting things slows you down. Turning too sharply spins you out. Braking and turning are trade-offs, just as they are in real life. I need to improve my driving skills. I thought I knew how to race when I was 17 (half my life ago).

If you enjoy racing games, buy this one. If you just want to impress your friends with PS2 power, but this game. It's that good.

Only wish it had more cars like part 2 did..especially my favorite car the Honda CRX, but definitely a must have for all GT fans

I love this game. It's occupied a crazy amount of my life. I have never liked a racing game this much. I think the only game that occupied my attention this much was my three day rush to beat Summoner so I could return it before it was selling, not returning for full price. I race whenever I have free time, and it doesn't get old because simulation mode keeps thing fresh, and I will have stuff to beat there for a long time. I race my friends, and we have great fun doing it. There are many cars and some are really cool, but sadly, no Porsche. However, there is RUF, whose body designs are modeled on a German made car. Guess which German car that car is? The Porsche. The game always has something new to offer, and is an all round great game, besides being an excellent racing game. I think the only way GT4 could top it is if it were the same quality game, but futuristic. That would be cool... Buy the game to cure your perpetual boredom!

This is a great game yet I got it for 19.99 at Wal-Mart. I do not see why you have not met your competiter's price yet. This one thing that I have seen about the higher costs of most games.

The first thing I noticed when I started playing this game was--the graphics. They look very, very, very...realistic. I've played atleast a couple hundred hours on this. It's extremely hard, but you would love it even if you don't have much interest in racing. I didn't, but now I'm looking for more racing games because of the pleasure this game gave me!! But don't play this game if you mind playing solid chunks of a couple hours...I mean, endurance races can take a couple hours or more!! Have fun!

Ok,I'm not a real fan of organized racing,but when I got Grand Turismo 3 A-spec I loved it. With over 40 different cars from hit dealers like Ford,Toyota, and Nissan and much more,from 8 different counteries. You will race oppomemts at awesome tracks. The graphics are simply outstanding. No matter what type of cars you like they will be in this game. In this game a great car to start out with would probaly be a PT cruiser. Honestly, this is one of the best PS2 games ever.

GT3 is a very cool racing game if you have experiances with GT or GT2 then you know what im talking about this game has tons of cars to pick from you earn a license then buy a car fix it up & race it earn more cash and buy even more parts for it this is the best racing game out there it has cars from corvettes to mazda RX-7s and volkswagen bugs and WRX rally cars ive played midnight club & all those other racing games those are nothing compared too this game.

This game is great! There are over 100 cars! This has the best graphics I'v ever seen in a racing game. My favorite cars is the Cobra, Escudo Pikes Peak, Viper, Corvett and many more.

And I'm going to buy the Panoz Esperante GTR 1. That Panoz is $2,000,000 and I'm a mere $500,000 away (not using Gameskark). The races pay a fair amout, about 25,000.

But Gran Turismo 2 has more cars to choose from. I'm not saying that there are just a few to pick from, there are a lot.

One of the best features of this game (besides the graphics) is the sound track, you can customize the sound track by turn the wanted songs on or off when you get sick of them (there's about 40 different songs).

There are about 400 different races (really!) to choose from. And they are ALL very fun.

This game isn't like Gran Turismo 2, this game has only 1 disc! That saves time changing the Discs, all you do the change from arcade to simulation (or viseversa) is hit the triangle and select "Simulation Mode" and press X.

Buying a second memeroy card can make the game REALLY easy when it comes money. Every time you "trade" your cars and money doubles!

But of course you have to earn the license. The license shouldn't be to hard with gameshark. I don't have gameshark so the license tests are a tear your hair out part of the game.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:
Great graphics.
Great sound.
Great simple controls.
Loads of car to buy and earn.
AI is pretty hard.
It is fun to buy/win and collect all of these fast cars.
Races are fun and most are pretty easy.
Races pay enough to buy powerful upgrades.
Wheels are cheaper in this game.
GREAT sound track! You just can't play a game without music!

Cons:

AI does the same thing on the oval tracks.
There were more cars in GT2 (Corvetts,Migents, and so on.
There are no custum paint jobs to choose from.

To close this review, this is a MUST BUY!
