This game is the greatest ever. I play it all the time! The graphics are very good and it has a good story line. Some of the bosses are very hard, but it's fun anyway!

This game is a really great game. I was a tiny bit hystaerical when i read some other peoples reviews, they said it sucked. But I went on ahead and bought it. Boy were they wrong. This game is one of my favs in my collection. All the characters are drawn with true intensity and detail(look at the eyes) When i first started playing, i was zoning out, this was too real i thought. It was like wwatching a movie.
Battle system is excellent and the ability to switch weapons, armour and party members in battle is a godsend for those unprepared. The sphere system at first was confusing, but i finally got it(remeber juntion in FF8, this is easier)Voice over is ok, sound with mouth movement is questionable, but remeber, its converted from japanese version. Voices are crazy/cool. Im still just getting hang of blitzball, but the idea is cool(basketball/soccar underwater) Surrounding is great and detailed. The two things that i think is silly is that 1)The master bad guy is named Sin (How original)
2)The master bad guy is Tidus's father (Luke i am your father)
But other than that, story is great, character design is excellent and battle system is so fun.If your looking for a fun Rpg, look for squaresoft (hats off to you guys) This game is worth it totally. No doubts here.
a shocker! LOL

I feel this game is disappointing compared to the previous final fantasy games.

Storywise, this game is decent, and the graphics are top-notch for a PS2 game. The character designs and background music are very good (although this is usually a matter of personal taste). In terms of game play, this game has a number of improvements over previous Final Fantasy titles. While you're still limited to 3 characters during a battle, you can now swap them in and out without penalty during fights. You can also change weapons and armor if you need to, although it costs a turn. And unlike FF8, there's a decent amount of variability in terms of character strengths and weaknesses. The sphere grid system in theory allows for a bit more customization as characters level up, but early on this only really seems to make a major difference for Khimari.
No game is perfect, of course, and the main gripe I have is that acquiring certain items requires the mastery of obnoxious mini-games. While the main mini-game (blitzball) is actually very well developed and can be fun to play (I like it), the same cannot be said about lightning-dodging, butterfly catching, or chocobo training. Still, as long as you're not a completist, this shouldn't be too much of a complaint.
In short, while the storyline of FFX is more-or-less what you'd expect from the series, the combat system is much improved, and for people who like to beat every side-quest, there's a lot to keep you occupied (though some are pretty annoying).
GREAT!!!

This is the greatest game i have EVER played in my entire life! If you dont by this game you have no idea what you are missing out on. This game is exciting, fun and emotional. It take a while to beat and the end made me ball my eyes out, but when I heard they were coming out with a Final Fasty X-2, I about died. If you dont buy this game, you are really really missing out!

FFX is one of my favorite games yet. The new system used for learning abilities is much better, because as your playing you want to get stronger and stronger but you can only do it by battling. Unlike the other FF games were all I did was get good items and avoid as many random battles as I could until the end. But this game made me just want to keep battling until I was the best there was. The Graphics are really tight, I just can't wait until they can use the actual drawing as the regular players instead of the computer generated ones. But that won't be for a while. At the beginning I was kinda bumbed out knowing, since I was the main character that i couldn't summon but I could use magic (word of advice get as many return spheres as you can they'll come in very handy toward the end). If you really liked squall from FF8 you will love auron, even though he is not the main character, he is still my strongest(physically) fighter. Oh and you'll like Lulu too(magic person).

I put the disc into my newly opened PS2 with eager anticipation. The opening cinema was O.K. Oh wait those are REAL TIME graphics. The graphics that are used while playing the game are on par with FF9's FMV sequences. The first FMV cinema on this game almost made me wet my pants. The graphics are truly astounding. Joined my top ten video games of all time list also including FF7, FF8, Metal gear solid, Metal gear soild 2, Silent Hill, Max Payne, FF9, FF anthology, and Fear effect. Just WOW.

This was a great game, though it was not quite as good as some of its predecesors. A great story, incredible graphics, and a well designed game, it is nothing to be scorned. It is an awesome addition to the Final Fantasy series, and a must have for RPG and Final Fantasy fans. The only real negative is the game seems designed to be almost [note almost, not completely] impossible unless you have the strategy guide, or know someone who does. It is still a great time, and well worth the money. If you want to beat it though, either buy the strategy guide or find someone who owns it. I don't want to give anything away, but you will know what I mean when you get there.
