The Game That Reigns Supreme

This game is great. The problem with it is that its kinda short if your good with role playing games. But after you beat the game which includes 3 temples for kid Link and 5 temples for adult Link not counting Ganon's Castle. The graphics are a little fuzzy but otherwise great. I've beat the game about 4 or 5 times but I can never do a chalange that my friend gave me, so after you beat the game a couple of times try this: beat Ganon with the Iron Boots on. The game is almost impossible without a guide. And if you enjoy this game buy Majora's Mask that game is also very good. But I still advise you to buy a guide for it.

This game will become your live...

This game is so addictive and interesting that sometimes I feel like I live in this game. I found myself ready to protect myself with my shield and drew my sword when I saw crows flying over me. Or when I heard rattling noise in the dark, I looked to that direction, hoping I'd see a Gold Skulltula. That how great this game is. Play it, and you won't be dissapointed.

Moreover, Prima's Strategy Guide will help you a lot more than Navi does. When you're lost, or stuck on a puzzle, let the book help you find your way out.

Forget the others!

There comes a point when sooner or later one has to admit that they have reached a mile stone. This is it. Look no further than the game that changes everything that went before it. Yes, certainly other games can compete graphically with this, but innovation is an entirely different proposition. Zelda, then, innovates on an unparalleled scale. Weather, night/day, age, all real aspects which merely touch the surface of this monumentous achievement.

To be really honest, there is no real weakness with this game. No puzzle will stop you in your tracks. There is ALWAYS something to do. In fact it will take you a lot longer to find everything the game has to offer than it would to finish other games. And this is where the distinction comes in. You can label this as an adventure game if you like. But, it is beyond comparison with everything else. Thus meaning that it should be catagorised in a genre by itself. Or at least as a game that redefines an entire genre.

There are no comparisons. Forget other inferior games that try and emulate and 'better' this. Forget the games that rely on pretty visuals to impress. Zelda has all these and so, so, much more. Buy this, it is that simple.

An excellent game for those (like me) who like adventure and a new challenge. Zelda will leave you amazed. In the game you must save your world by fighting evil monsters, solving puzzles, beating bosses and temples etc., and getting the items and weapons etc. you need in order to achieve these and other goals.

You are the world's last hope! Can you save everyone and defeat the evil Ganondorf in this breathtaking adventure game?!

The Second Best Game for the 64

This is the 2nd best Nintendo 64 game to date right behind Golden Eye 64. We all know that Golden Eye 64 is impossible to top, but this comes damn near close.

Zelda Ocarina of Time is a classic. Five stars plus. Matter of fact this is the best Zelda release I have ever played. And I have played them all.

The graphics really show what the Nintendo 64 is capable of putting out along with other classics like Mario 64 and Golden Eye. The graphics are amazing and are top notch.

The storyline is even better. Most good RPGs have more than just one single character. This game however only has Link and still manages to become a classic like most of the other Zelda titles. No this game is no Final Fantasy IIV, but in a way this game is better. Maybe not as long, but the storyline is a little bit more creative and catchy.

Ocarina of Time offers a little bit more "extras" than the previous Zelda titles have to offer. You can collect extra items along the way for personal score to see how good your discovering ability is, and not just finding pieces of hearts. There are so many secrets with this game.

I would suggest you dont use the strategy guide until you have completed the game. If you do, then you are cheating yourself and making the game not even worth playing. Beat the game and then look at the guide to see what you have missed.

Overall, I spent a lot of time on this game. I could have beaten it a lot faster, but that wouldnt be any fun, because the fun part is discovering the secrets within the game itself.

Buy the game and see for yourself. This isnt exactly a hard challenge of a game, but it isnt exactly that simple either. Just right. Get it today!

Whatever is this?

This is the best N64 (R.I.P.) game I have ever played. It's full of vast 3D worlds, cool characters, and has a deep storyline. The worlds are huge.Take Hyrule Field, A place which has absolutely nothing to do with the story but going there to get new places, is soooo much fun. When you aren't doing anything and are just playing around, you can have hours of fun running around hunting skullkids and running from those flying spikey flower thingies. When you're an adult, you can hunt poes (ghosts) in the field and get rewards and stuff for it! Anyway, the story is about a boy named Link who is destined to save his home world, Hyrule, from A powerful wizard. The wizard wants to get ahold of the Triforce, an ancient artifact which has the power to alter the world. He does, and changes the world to a "hell". Link then has to go through many dungeons and meet many people and eventully save his land of Hyrule and return peace. That's about it. Peace.

Still the BEST GAME EVER

This game is just sickeningly good and nothing else since has matched it's gameplay, depth, charm, design and atmosphere. It is absolutely flawless and perfect.
When it came out 3 years or so ago i was hooked to it immediately and i finished it in about a month. But since then i finished it around 10 more times and i still enjoy playing the full game today after 3 years! It is that good. The controls are absolutely perfect and the targeting system works perfectly for most combat situations.
The atmospehere of the levels of the game is just the best ever in a game to date. For example in the mysterious forest the Lost Woods, u can actually feel it's mystery from the excellent music getting louder as u reach it's source and the way the whole place is designed.
No videogame fan has an excuse not to play or own this. Words cannot describe my love for this game. (Sounds stup[id but it's true) You will so nostalgic even when u meet the characters again for the 20th time. It is just a gaming masterpiece and i doubt it will be bettered for a veeeeerrryy long time to come unless the new gamecube zelda follows the same direction and improves it with a larger interface and new fresh ideas.
BUY IT it or u will miss out on the best game ever. yes the best game ever.. all i can say is if u havent for some reason BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT...

This was an excellent game! I loved it! I like Link better as a kid, though. Kakariko village is one of my favorite places to go to. I am a very big Zelda fan. If you liked "Majora's Mask", you'll like the Ocarina of time! The Ocarina of time is a great game! I wish the Zelda games would never end!

a really big Zelda fan!

*****
I've been playing games a long time. Ever since I was 2 all I wanted was one turn on Mario. When I was 4 I got my own NES and I've been playing ever since. Neve since then have I been at a loss of words trying to descibe how good a game is. All those technical words and gamer phrases just left my mind and I could only think of one word to say: WOW! Frankly, LOZ:OOT surpassed everything I ever expected from a game in general. For one thing this game is FUN- something that, anymore, only seems to come at certain parts of a game and at the end, but I enjoyed every minute of OOT. From the breathtaking graphics and scenery to the strange, but very likable and catchy music found throughout Hyrule.(I have a cd changer in my brain that switches from the Kakariko village theme, Hyrule Market theme, Kokiri Forest theme, and so on and and back again) Even when I died and had to start certain parts over the only thing I thought was, "great, now I get to go back over the level and notice all the finer, nicer parts of it." Seriously, you'll literally want to die just so you can do it over again, it's THAT good! Even though this doesn't have a fantastic story like an RPG, who cares??!! The story isn't the point. The point is to sit back and enjoy an imense world with fantastic places, people, creatures, and adventures. This is one of those games where you just wish they would make a movie out of, just so you could laugh at how they couldn't make a movie to even compare with the greatness of a game like this. Alas, no movie could ever depict such beutiful world such as Hyrule with everything perfectly in tact. The gameplay itself is complicated yet simple. In other words, complicated enough to challenge skilled players with things such as hard puzzles, yet simple enough for younger gamers to enjoy it with things such as the "funny people" and "cute little creatures". You begin your quest in your home of the Kokiri forest, but during your quest you'll venture to Hyrule castle, the quaint but cozy Kakariko village, Lon Lon Ranch, and the homelands of creatures such as the rock like Gorons, the fish like Zoras, and dungeons that lead to large and seemingly unbeatable foes. At the begining of your quest you start as young Link at age 10 and after finding 3 stones your able to pull the master sword out of the stone and become older Lnk at 17 (not instantly, you sleep for 7 years and wake up to find you've aged and Hyrule in--) Anyway you split you quest between adult and kid Link, both with interesting characteristics and seperate quests and adventures. Playing this game about five hours a day it took me 1 week and 4 days to finish it. It was though, the quickest week and a half of my life. Trust me, if you consider yourself a true gamer, you'll love this game. I know when games like this come out rumores of the title "greatest game ever made" start flying about. But if that title meens a game that will grip you and completely entertain you for 50-70 hours strait, OOT deserves it, and if it meens a game that when measured to every other great game in history it keeps coming out just a little better, then OOT deserves it. Yes, my friends, when it comes too The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, I think the title "Greatest of All Time" just might stick around for a while. At least until the sequel.
