The Best Single-Player Adventure Ever

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 0 / 0
Date: January 25, 2004
Author: Amazon User

Ocarina of Time is, without a doubt, the greatest single-player game of all time. No questions, whatsoever. The gameplay, structure, replayability, and storyline are top-notch, and even after six years after it's release, fans cannot stop talking about this legendary title. Even after the marvels of the new-age systems, such as PlayStation 2, this remains the benchmark for every other game of its type.
First off, the structure. The way that the game is presented is pure genius. The land of Hyrule is shown with amazing visuals, precise details, and unique characters. You feel as if you were there, alongside Link, in the realm of the Gorons, the kingdom of the Zoras, or in the mysterious forests of the Lost Woods. The game is that captivating, and once you start; you'll never want to stop until the game's dramatic climax.
Secondly, the replayability factor of this game is humongous. Even after beating the game, you'll still have multiple mini-games and optional quests, such as the search for the Big Goron Sword, to do. Also, just the pure joy of reliving all of the dungeons and puzzles is still alive and well once you finish the game.
The storyline is simply amazing, and most likely the most evolved of all the Zelda titles. The characters that you encounter become vastly important to the game's overall structure, and relations with these characters changing and unfolding as the game progresses. The quest is not one for the faint of heart; it is a huge saga that even the most experienced RPG hero would go, "Wow."
So, in conclusion, this game, even after five years since it's release, which is a huge amount of time in gaming, remains as one of the most recognized and beloved titles by gamers everywhere.

'Zelda; the ocarina of time' is one of the best games in Nintendo 64. I would give it more than five stars if I could. It is about a boy named Link, who, as a baby, got caught in the middle of a battle with his mother. She got injured but managed to get away. She gave Link to the Great Deuku Tree, who is the gardian of the Korikis. Link grew up with these non-aging children until he was about ten. He set off with his farie, Navi, to save Hyrule. With help from princess Zelda, the six sages, and many more people, Link goes through a quest to save the world from Gannondorf. Meeting Gorons, Zoras, and many more creatures of Hyrule, he has many adventures. This game is great because it also has feelings and soul to it, not just gory violence. Join his quest as he travels forward and backward in time. This is a great game and it was among my favorites! (Be sure to try the sequel, Majoras Mask!)

Ok well all of you people who said that this game was not worth the money or said it was lame well let me tell you something YOU ARE LAME! This is the best game ever released for any video game system. When i first heard of it I thought it was going to be stupid and dumb, but when I rented it OMG! I could not let go of my controller my hand was glued. Once you learn to master this game and know everything it is SOOOO fun, I mean nintendo did a really AWESOME job on the story line and the length of the game and how every little bit of the story just happens to fit together perfectly. A MUST BUY THE BEST GAME EVER IF YOU LOVE RPGs THEN BUY ZELDA 64 NOW! The only major dissapointment was definatly the ending that is the only fault of this game but this is a definate awesome game that you can play OVER AND OVER again. DO NOT BY A STRATEGY GUIDE this game is sooo much more fun without the lame help if you can do this by yourself you will have sooo much more fun

Great Game!

Just two words, great game! Those two words describe the game in every way! If you don't like puzzles or challenges, I don't recommend buying this game, if you do enjoy challenges and puzzles then by all means, buy it!
