This game has the coolest graphics and tons of awesome weapons and shields. It also has different types of clothes, one tunic even lets you stay under water for a long perod of time. It even has differnt types of boots such as a pair that lets you hover in the air for a limited amount of time. Also the story line is great and the enimies are awesome even though they're evil especialy King Dodongo. One part of the game that's annoying is your gaurdian fairy she can really get on your nerves. This is a must buy game it should be rated best video game of the millenium!

The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time is simply the greatest game of all time. Its better than Mario 64, and that is a game that you would be a fool to overlook, In My Humble Opinion. Zelda has a story of epic propaortions, one quite different from the previous ones (Zelda is not even captured until near the game's end). It has puzzles as good as any puzzle game, and the Water Temple above all will stretch your brain muscles. If you don't have this game already, have it delivered to your door in as little time as possible. Trust me. You'll thank yourself later.

The Greatest Game in all of Gaming History!!!!!

I can safely say, the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the Greatest game in history. The first time I played this game, was seven years ago at a friend's house but I didn't get hooked, I decided to buy it, and I got hooked. Writing this review is blowing my mind, because I can't say how great this game is!!! Long ago when I was becoming more and more familiar with THE game, I took a vow that this would be my favourite game of all time, no matter what the future held, I still hold that vow respectfully, and honestly. Games that I really enjoy playing have not matched the power to be my favourite game above Ocarina of Time. Games like Halo, Halo 2, Metroid Prime, Goldeneye, Not even any other Zelda games.

This is just to tell you how great this game is.

I can't argue with the graphics, for they were magnificant at that era of gaming. The subtitles are OK, nothing wrong with it (no voices in speech, only expressions like "oh"). The characters will be in the Gaming Vault as "most memorable", because they are beyond great. I can't say anything else about the storyline but IT'S THE GREATEST, it will leave you breathless and asking for more, or what's next.

Back then, I was so in depth with this game, that my life was based on THE game. I was also naive, so I guess that kept my imagination running for a long time. I can honestly say this game helped mold me into what I am today (a very good person, good friends, good attitude, good in school). I've had this game for eight years, I take very special care of it. If my house was burning, and I had to take three things It would be a Star Wars Collectible, a picture, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, to remind me of all the fun, and priceless memories I had with it.

One again, GAME of GAMES!!! You will not be disappointed with it!

The BEST game ever!

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is possibly the best game ever. The grphics are stunning and realistic and the puzzles and challenge are great and quite hard. The bosses are unlike any I've ever seen before. The story line is so emotinal and dramatic, it's hard to believe it's not real. There are lots of characters to interact with. And the enemies are quite intelligent and can sometimes ambush you. The music is very dramatic and fits in with the game. Overall, this is the best game you'll ever play.

This is THE best game

This game is extremely fun. It has a good plot and storyline. It is my all time fave game for N64, and with good reason. If you don't have this game, I suggest you GET IT! It's really enjoyable and addictive. There are many many secrets etc. to find and it keeps you busy for months.

Wow. That's what I have to say about this game. Wow. Maneuvering through a 3-d world, destroying enemies, and trying to save the all-powerful Triforce is only part of the fun to this game. There are so many mini-games and important tasks that can be optionally done (optionally being the key word) add to the excitement of the game. What I was surprised by the most in this game was the sheer size of it. Hyrule is huge! How they managed to fit all of it into a small cartridge, I'll never know. In my opinion, every N64 owner should have this game.

What they did right they did so right it gets 5 stars anyway

The trademark of all Zelda games is a relatively small game world that is so intricately designed with all kinds of secrets and tasks to accomplish that the player is fooled into thinking the game is bigger than it actually is. This philosophy holds true for Ocarina of Time. It takes the previous elements of Zelda and radically expands on them. Elements like the method the ocarina is utilized as an item and the aiming methods for the bow&arrow, the hookshot, and the slingshot cause the player to switch from third-person to first-person view. Then there is the method of targeting an enemy by holding the z-button when facing the enemy, allowing the player to shoot their bow, hookshot, etc. while still in third person view. These are elements all 3D adventure games should include. Zelda has set a standard for 3D adventure games that may not be met again or even exceeded until the next Zelda game.

None of the flaws in this game are really flaws, just little annoying stuff that needs to be pointed out. I really wish the cutscenes and ungodly slow text could be skipped. On repeat plays I have to exert a lot of patience when sitting through these parts. The storyline is also weak, not that it bothers me, because this game is all about the gameplay, not the story. The story is just a reason to collect the quest items and whatnot. This game should not be compared to role-playing games because it is not a role-playing game. It doesn't have turned based combat and level-building. The point of this game is increased power through collecting items and accomplishing tasks and environment interaction, such as lighting torches with burning sticks. Also, this game could have used one or two more doungans, but that's really just asking for more of it.

There are people out there who seem to think Zelda is just a rehash of 16-bit and 8-bit Zelda. At heart they are the same game, but each installment expands on the previous one more and more, providing new elements and new takes on old ones that captures the player's imagination. Zelda has a legacy no other videogame franchise can claim. Each Zelda is about the realization of a creative vision. Even when one plays the original 8-bit game they can imagine that this would have been the 64-bit version if only the processing power were available at the time. The Zelda series is not a rehash of previous games. It is about utilizing the power of the current platform to make a fascinating new game.

This is by far the greatest game I have ever played! Zelda has always been a favorite to me but this is by far the best Zelda. I don't think there is any better game than this. Simply a classic. If you are looking at games, be sure to get this one.

I got this on the GameCube Collector's edition and really, it's confusing how they DIDN'T make this the best game of 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003. They DID make it the best game of 1998 and 1999 but anyways, there's a master quest version out there for GameCube. The sites are beautiful. And when u get inside the Deku Tree, let the action/fantasy begin!
