it's worth 5 stars but it has flaws. first off,to beat bowser in the final battle you only have to have 70 stars but to finish the game completely you have to have 120???? that's just too much!!!! plus a respectable game usually has many bosses and than the final boss. but you have to beat bowser 3 times??? other than that the game has amazing graphics and is very fun. it's a real challenge and i recommend it for any nintendo fan.

This game is so old but is still one of my favorite games ever for N64.I like all the old school systems like sega,Nintendo and all the old unappreciated systems. This game has great graphics for Nintendo 64.It is a game that takes forever to beat but I love games like that. Its very challenging.Mario is the best thing that ever happened to video games.Their are probaly over 50 Mario games made.Lots of them are still being made today. The only bad thing about Nintendo they dont come out with anymore new games.Well that about sums it up.I hope this helps you.
Not bad..

If you wanna give the game a run-through it's relatively easy to do in a few days to a week. If you wanna max out the game and get all of the stars, well.. It's gonna be about a month if you're good. This game is so frustrating that sometimes i just wanna run it over with a dump truck or something. I found myself revisiting it after a few years time, and thinking "oh yeah, i like these levels..", but then i got to the further levels and, well.. My friends agree with me, we hate every single level outside of the first handful because they're so confusing and weird. (Who knew you could run up those pillars in Shifting Sand Land? I sure didn't... Oh, and what about the location of the Wing Cap? Ridiculous.) Don't get me wrong, I love it, the only flaw with this game is the camera angles. Yes, everybody hates 3D camera angles, but this one is absolutely terrible in critical spots. That's why it gets 4 outta 5 stars.
Oh, and as for "200 hundred stars" as the reviewer below stated.. If there were 2,000 stars i'd seriously fail this game. It would take a year to beat. There's 120, and that's it. (At least it better be.)
A good buy!

I really love this game! I got it for my birth day, from my brother. It was my second game I got for the N64. It is great for little kids as well as older kids. The object of the game is to save the prinsess from a huge turtle names Bowser, (Bowser is not a slow turtle). I love this game and think everyone should have it.

This is probably one of the best games I have ever played! It has very good graphics ( even though there are a lot of glitches in the game) I only have 19 stars ( Thanks to my friend bobby, who gave me 4 stars), But I am getting good at the game! I even caught that golden rabbit!
Good, but Challenging

This game has great graphics and is fun too play, but it is very challenging. My seven-year-old has a hard time completing the levels and on some levels has not gotten any stars.

Wow! What can I say? When I first bought this game and played it, I was hooked. The graphics were very good, the different courses were cool and I loved it! It has sold over a MILLION copies and it was the first game for Nintendo64. When my friends come over they always want to play and I can never stop playing it myself. There are some courses that are pretty tough, but It's All Good! Buy this game! I'm sure you won't regret it!
A classic.

This is a change of pace for Mario. Its 3D and you have to do tons of missions for each level. While this adds depth do the game it can also make you really frustrated(especially because the N64 controllers are so awkward) when you go to a mission and its really difficult to complete it. My advice is that you should take a break from that level and play an easy, fun one.I wish this game didnt have so many jumping styles though. Mario Sunshine is a thing for us to look forward to but will at be an action/adventure game like this one? Is Bowser even in it?We don't know yet. The one thing we do know is that the Game Cube controller is easier to use than the N64 one and that the new Mario game's guide will be easy to look for. While I still say Super Mario Bros 3 is the most fun Mario game of all time, this one comes close. I prefer Sonic Adventure though. Im not even all that good at most video games (including Mario 64)but even I can tell that Mario 64 is a classic just because the levels Ive completed were so fun and still are.
The Best N64 Game EVER!

Hey, y'all! You know who Mario is, right? Sure ya do, he's the little plumber with the red hat. Anyway, the game begins with Mario's very good friend, a beautiful princess, inviting him to her castle to have some cake. Unfortunately, Mario's WORST enemy, Bowser, a dragon, or King of The Koopas, a bunch of evil monsters, has kidnapped the princess and taken the stars that keep peace in the castle. Playing as Mario, you MUST recover the stars, destroy Bowser, rescue the princess, and restore peace to the castle. This 1996 game was, I think, the very 1st game released for Nintendo 64. Even so, it has EXCELLENT graphics, definately the best of all N64 games, and has got to be the best N64 game EVER! If you have an N64 or want one, then after you buy it, make this game the 1st on your list of games to get! It's Real KOOL! See y'all later!
