The Best Mario But With One Major Flaw. . . .

This game has the WORST camera angles in the history of mandkind! It is almost a disgrace of the entire Mario series. Really good exapmples are in the haunted house. Controlling Mario in this enviroment is appalling! Without this ABYSMAL major flaw, this game would get high marks from me. But the rest is quite a challenge. Over the years I have noticed that almost every Mario has given me a real headache. Why I can't understand that Mario can be killed by a touch of a turtle(Refers to the original series).

All in out, a good game WITHOUT THE CRAPPY CAMERA ANGLES! The soundtrack is also amazing!

Yeah, I realize so many people think this game is the greatest, and it could've been if it weren't for one major flaw. The camera angles are pure [junk]. The camera angles are so terrible it almost make the game not even worth playing. Some better camera work could have made this a truely great game. It's sad to see that one little thing such as bad camera placement can totally ruin a game.

As bad a platformer as Tekken is a fighting game...

I guess I'm the first one to say this, but - this game is drab. I've played and loved all Miyamoto games, eg Super Mario I, Zelda I, Zelda II, Mario World, Zelda III, Star Fox, Yoshi's Island, Ocarina of Time, Lylat Wars, and still do, so I should know... Mario 64 is only 'worthwhile' because it's free with the N64 (in the good old times you got Super Mario World!), it looks fab ("Look, it's Mario in 3D!") at first and - well, that's it, I'm afraid. The levels are mediocre, the control method is awkward, especially compared to the likes of Zelda 64 or the 2D Mario games, and there's a serious lack of depth in the gameplay department. But it's not just Mario 64; it's the trend in videogames at the moment I resent. Everything has to be three-dimensional, graphically amazing, crammed with special effects and cinematic stuff, and it makes me sick. The only thing I care about is D E P T H O F G A M E P L A Y. But then of course I'm someone who likes Streetfighter better than any modern fighting game, be it Tekken Tag Tournament, be it Virtua Fighter III Deluxe, be it full-motion, photo-realistic, 4D Battle of the Gods...

Let me just say that this is one of the worst games i have ever played.
All the reviews about this game say how wonderful it is "Oh it is a
classic even now!" well i got it for [...] and it was a total waste!
All the people who played this hunk of junk waaay back in 1998 were
just so distracted with the miracle of the joystick and the new 3D
look that they did not notice the slippy controls, the poor game play,
and the bad story line. I am very disaponted in this game.
My sugestion to YOU the reader is to avoid this game entierly.
get the legend of zelda ocarina of time insted.
PS. the worst game i have ever played is sonic heros.
PSS. Do not buy any sonic games they are sooo poorly made.
PSSS. This is just MY opinion.
PSS-All right enough alredy.

This game is getting old. If you are not very experienced you should try it, because it is not very hard. It is fun.

I stand behind this game being the best Super Mario game nintendo has produced. Too bad it was on a system that people didn't enjoy - too many complaints over the control and the game selection and graphics capability it was a true underdog. But Super mario 64 has so many good qualities
this game takes forever to beat. Some may think this is a nusance but its filled with many many wonderful levels of fun
each level is unique and its organized in a wonderful fashion, you never get too confused in nagivating the game
There is ALWAYS something new to find, and many races and somewhat minigames that are actually entertaining and not ultimately annoy you.
You get frusterated when you lose, you realize this isn't some easy game you can breeze through, its actually difficult - appreciate that challenge because challenge is hard to come by in games these days.
Graphics aren't overdone. Good, you can find flaws, especially these days, the angles may alert some gamers as being old fashioned, but think about it like this... its not 2D. lol.

Overall, I love this game. Without a doubt, I consider it amongst the top 3 of my favorite games. If you haven't played this game, you are really missing out on something, go play it, you'll see how fun and exciting this game can be. and believe me - it only gets better.

This is the greatest game of all time!This game is very challenging and it has great graphics!This Game has tons of levels,secret levels,and secret passages!Plus It has a boss for almost every level!This is the 4th game I ever bought. bought it in 1999.What makes the game unique is that it takes a long time to comlpete.You have to collect 120 stars and beat Bowser 3 times!I've had this game for 6 years and it's still my fanorate!Buy this game it would be a shame not to.Especially since it has great 3-D graphics

Okay,the game is very addicting. The sound,graphics,gameplay is all great! But I discoverd something else funer. Super Mario 64 DS. That game is way better. This game is good but that game is something you can't keep your eyes off. Remember when you finish the game and eyerything to do and ther'es nothing left to do, well this DS game has mini games. They are very addicting and fun! You can draw on this as well. The adventure mode takes longer folks. You can play as Yoshi,Luigi,Mario Wario. In The beginning of Super Mario 64,you could just walk in. But thwe DS version is different. You have to collect a rabbit to get in. There is more room's in this castle too with more levels. Instead of collecting 120 stars. You have to collect 150. If you don't have enogh money for a DS and the game but have a N64,dust off the original and have some fun. Or go out and buy your DS and game. Get whatever. You have to play this though. If you don't think I'm right,then you will be sorry.

Super Mario 64 is very challenging. It provides hours of fun and each time I play it I never get board because it's fun and challenging. It has great graphics, sound, and help screens. The object of the game is to bake a cake with the princess Peach. There are many fun games that will keep you coming back for more. I highly recommend to anyone who is a Mario fan or owns a Nintendo 64 game system.
