SuperMario64: Our Hero Game (well sort of)

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 1 / 1

Why well sort of? Here's the deal. Mario is beutifuly animated, but the game can be confusing and too complex. Mario has over 50 moves he can do in the air, on land or in the water. about 25 of these moves are cruiical to your survival. THis can be confusing. Also, the game is lengthy. If you like games you can master in 1 week, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!! It takes you several months to beat this game of you play Mario for 1 hour every school day. Also there are too many worlds. I think there are about 25- 50 courses (worlds). This makes every thing complex. Fortunately, there are signs posted out side the casltle in which you can take lessons for various moves.

WOW! This version of Mario is the best ever yet!!

I received this game as a christmas gift last year. I was very excited at the time (and still is). This version of Mario can do a lot more things than the previous version (it keeps me on the edge of my seat). Every time I play this game I wonder "what will Mario encounter in this realm?". The graphics in this game is something to be proud of. Also, the use of color is very good. But the one thing that stands out for me are the castle secrets. When I "stumble" onto a castle secret it's like a big thing for me. I actually yell "YES!" or "UH-OH" when I'm given a star so easily or when I find a hidden realm. My heart rate speeds up when I'm playing the game. Especially when I'm so close to getting a star or when I'm about to win or lose a fight with one of the "bad guys". This game keeps me on the edge of my seat. I love it! And I know you will to.

It's that Good.

Hey, borrow it from somebody. This is /not/ just another Mario Game, this is THE Mario Game. Others just want to be this, and weren't able to because they didn't have the technology back then. This is a must for every n64 system out there.

Wonderful and challenging

This is a wonderful game-almost like the neverending story. It seems almost surreal when you jump into a painting and go into another world. I got this game and the Nintendo 64 system for Christmas the first year it came out. Super Mario 64 got me hooked on video games, and I had never even had a system before that. Mario is very challenging at first, but once you get the hang of it, it will probably be one of your favorite games. A guide for this game is also very useful and helpful. It tells you how to get every star of the game (almost) and includes maps and locations of all the levels in the game. The guide also tells how to make Mario move around and lists all the enemies and how to defeat them. Thi game is a wonderful Christmas present-be sure to get a guide too.

Best Platform game

I rented the Nintendo 64 just so I could play this game. It was amazing. Very engrossing, awesome graphics, and very fun. It was definately worth it. I would not want to have a Nintendo 64 without this title. Anyone who has a N64 should play this game. It's definately one of the *must have* titles.

Simply put, the best 3D platform game ever made

Mario 64 is by far the greatest 3D platform game ever made. It is easy to play, so beginners will not feel turned off by the control of our hero. The worlds are large, and with 15 of them you can play this game for a VERY long time. If you own a Nintendo 64 and have not played or do not own Mario 64, you are doing yourself an injustice. Buy this game. You will be gone for a long, long time on this adventure.

Mario 64: quite possibly the best game of its kind

For 10 years, I have been a fan of Sega and Sonic the Hedgehog. However, I must say that this game alone caused me to decide to stop waiting for the Dreamcast and buy a Nintendo 64. The animation and control is absolutely flawless. The 3D graphics could have used some improvement, but given the fact that Mario was one of the very first N64 games, it is a fabulous game. It used to be that Sonic always out-did Mario. However, that cannot be said anymore.

This game is awesome

Everything about this game is awesome, especially the part in which Mario falls asleep when you don't move him for a while. Pure genius!!!

One of the best N64 games.

Once the N64 came out with this game and I played it and I knew I was going to get an N64.This game is really fun and looks nice. The large worlds are fun to explore and nice to look at.Also It is indeed better than Banjo kozooi thing. So you need to buy this along with Zelda.

All guys and gals who read this, GET THIS GAME! For the sake of humanity! Although there are many complex moves, and worlds, it's still fun! after all Mario Bros 3 for the NES had over 100 courses I think. Even if you buy it just for the fact that it's mario it should be worth it. And the variety of worlds and enemies is so great it blew me away when I first played it. So in conclusion, buy this game! Class dissmissed...
