A different fun from Banjo-Kazooie

N64 has always been my favorite system, well, at least since it came into existence. I would sit and play mario kart and starfox for hours on end until I met the bear and bird in my local blockbuster video store.......... Banjo- Kazooie was all I played for a long time. I never thought of its sequel or that there could be a better game anywhere. Boy, was I wrong! Banjo- kazooie had that silly touch to it, not to mention, it was an easy game. But Banjo tooie is the kind of game that has a new, exciting adventure around every corner. Maybe not as silly, but its difficulty definately makes it one of the best Nintendo games of all time.

It's addicting!

Boy was it a mistake for me to buy this one. I can barely tear myself away from it! Bajo-Tooie not only lives up to it's proceder, it surpasses it! The worlds are bigger and filled with even more interesting puzzles to get through.

In Banjo-Tooie our loyal and slightly dim-witted Banjo, and our witty Kazooie have a lot to do. After the loss of a dear friend they not only need to seek revenge but stop Grunty from sucking the life out of the world. They not only have puzzle pieces and notes to collect this time but Jinjos and Chetoo pages. ANd some of these things involve splitting up or using Mumbo the Shamen. You'll meet a lot of new and interesting charecters like Jamjars (Boggles brother), Grunty's sisters, King Jinaling, Honey Bee (who shamelessly flirts with our favriote bear), and much more. You'll meet some old friends too.

I myself haven't finished this game. Banjo wasn't kidding when he said it's not gonna be so easy this time! I'm in Jolly Roger's new world (which I've nicknamed the lalnd of the money grubbers). I know you'll have just as much fun as I have. So if you've conqured Banjo-Kazooie try this one. I guarentee you'll love it!

When I saw the ads for Banjo Tooie I almost .... I thought it was going to be a lame sequel like all the other games. How wrong I was! This is the most challenging game I've ever played. The graphics are great and the bosses are so cool!!! When I received it for X-mas I just through it to the side but when I played it I couldn't get off it. A great game for people who like adventures and challenging games.

banjo tooie is a excellent game by far and is full of expolation (if you had trouble finding things in the first one wait to you play this one!)based on the 40+ hr. i have played in the game i've come to the concltion that this game will keep you playing hour opon hour geting jiggys gingos and notes but you will have fun doing it! the mini games are better than ever from using kazooie as a gun in a FPS in a dinasuars bellys to flying in a alien suacer shooting blue, red, and green. the gaphics and levels are still awsome from snowy & firy peak to a giant wasted factory. this is one game that you defintly should pick up this sequal.

I liked the first one-but this one is five times better!!

This was a great adventure game and was more challenging (because of certain moves you have to learn from future levels are required). I like the idea of the multiplayer, especially the one where you get to play the Dodgems mini-game. My friends and I don't care about the Twinklies, why should we when we can bash eachother around. My favorite level is Cloud Cuckooland, it has cool music, the best detail, great imagination put into this level. But most of all, I like the boss Mingy Jongo. He's a bit on the very hard side with those homing shots and all that teleportation, but he's awesome nontheless. He's in the RED MUMBO SKULL WITH THE REAL JINJO and don't be surprised if he's your first challenge because he doesn't require a number of steps to get to like Weldar, or Mr. Patch. What I don't apreciate is how easy Mingy Jongo is on replay because his bullets aren't homing. The worst level is Jolly Roger's Lagoon, I'm not sure why, I just find water levels extremely BORING! As I found out in Banjo Kazooie, Clanker's Cavern. I really hated that one! I like the fact that you can split up and perform your own abilities. Kazooie is light alone and faster than the Talon Trot move, when you use a fly pad, she can cover more distance when you press A. Banjo is slow, but packs more power than Kazooie, his pack is his best thing he has. With Z & C right he can regain health. With Z & C down he can go in his bag to make him invulnerable to toxic or hot water. With Z & C Up he can bounce one spikes, thorns, you name it! With Z & C left, he can carry heavy things-especially blubberbut bear in WitchyWorld. But, you have to learn those moves from Sgt... Mole? I forgot his name. Another great addition, or in this case, subtraction, is that Grunty has stopped that insensible rhyming!!! WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!! I don't like the fact they couldn't get a cool level like Mad Monster Mansion in the game, oh well!!!
This game still rocks, and it's more comic than the last one. In some parts you'll get a laugh out of it.

FUN!!!

Banjo-Tooie is my absolute favorite game on Nintendo 64. I've gone through just about the whole game currently on level 10. The game has great challenges. The hardest part is Giggywiggy's challenge 11! Its a secret challenge that's optional, but definitely worth getting to. I think this game is the best!!!

best n64 game ever

This is easily the best game i've played for n64, banjo kazooie was also a clasic but this was way better. The game was much improved some ways it got better is that there was multiplayer (which is not that fun)you could check out the movie scenes over and over and alot more. The game is more complicating then the first one, but thats what makes it so fun, like on the first all you basically did was look for the 10 puzzle pieces,100 notes, and 3 honeycombs, but in this one theres more to do more puzzles to put together more mysteries look for cheato pages because for each time you collect 5 you earn a cheat from cheato the book. Also the puzzle pieces are more challengin to find on each level you have to fight a big bad guy to win a puzzle piece (each level has a boss)also each level has at least one game which you have to win to earn a puzzle piece. The levels are more detailed and much more space to explore.

THINGS DIFERENT SINCE THE FIRST ONE
1)Banjo and kazzoie could seperate and they could learn attacks by themselves.
2)On the first you get transformed by mumbo, but instead you get transformed by a indian lady called ''WUMBA''you get the chance to play as mumbo
3)There are more eggs which includes-blue stone eggs(original ones),fire eggs,ice eggs,grenade egss,and clockwork eggs.
4)There is a bumble bee lady which you give her the honycombs you collected and she replaces them with extra energy

Enjoyable

I got this game two weeks after it came out. At first i was nostalgiac of the first game, i liked the first game more. But after I got over that, i noticed how fun this game was compared to the first game. Each level was harder and more complex than the first. And even though there are only 8 levels, compared to the 10 in the first, it took me longer to beat this one. The graphics, i have to admit, were very impressive for a sixty-four bit console. The game itself was very hard and challenging, but in a good way. This was the right way to make a sequal.

Well, as you all may know by now, Banjo Tooie will be a smash hit. Did you know that before they had a set release date(11-20-00) they were afraid that Banjo Tooie and The Legend of Zelda:Majora's Mask might clash? What I have heard is that Banjo Tooie will be somehow attached to Banjo Kazooie.Rare tried to fool everyone by saying BK would not be NEEDED to COMPLETE BT, which means you might still be able to go off to use both just to gather the BK secrets. That is all.

A badly tuned "Banjo"

OK, sorry to burst all of your bubbles, but this game is not all that it is cracked up to be. I do love Banjo-Kazooie, and have played it completely through over 10 times, but the sequel is just not up to speed. The graphics and handling are better, but most of the other aspects are sadly inferior to the first game. I honestly cannot remember a game in which I spent so much time frustrated or irritated because of the badly designed layout, tedious games, and pointless excuses for playtime extension.

First off, the views are HORRIBLE. Too many times I was caught/killed/or just badly annoyed by the clumsy, backward view controls that do not allow you a view of where you are going, but rather show you where you have been. I kept having to stop and spin the controls around just to see what I was doing - not a good idea when fighting a boss or walking a cliff-edge.

Also, all the minigames are the SAME! When you enlarge a game, give the player a whole arsenal of new weapons, and design 8 new worlds, don't any original games go with it? Banjo-Kazooie had a nice selection of minigames that players encountered - Tooie only has one that you play over and over, with different trappings and characters! *SNORE* To contrast this monotony, some of the jiggy-hunts are incredibly involved and tedious, but at least original.

I do like the idea of allowing you to play: Banjo-Kazooie, just Banjo, just Kazooie/the dragon, Mumbo, and the magic characters, but it turns out idiotic. You are required to spend valuable time changing in between these characters, for maybe 5 minutes of play time before you have to change back - and most of the actions could easily have been taught as regular moves. Also the handling (which is a great improvement from the first game for the base characters) is horrendous for the magic characters - all of whom are mechanical characters; there are none of the animals that you were changed into in B-K.

One final note: most of the reviewers on this site talk about the fun characters that you encounter. Hmmmmm. The insults are childish, and the jokes are stale. Also, there are a pair of 'questionable' frogs that elicted many raised eyebrows in my household - one has a very deep throaty voice and wears a bikini, while her 'partner' (their words) has a high voice and acts exceedingly feminine. That's fine by me, but not so fine by some parents I know. One good thing is that most of the characters that Banjo and Kazooie encounter were created for the game, and were not just recycled from the first in the series.

If you want a action-adventure game or two that will give you hours of non-irritating pleasure, complete with intelligent minigames, beautiful music, and sweeping graphics, buy Zelda: Ocarina of Time and its sequel, Majora's Mask. I guarentee you that they will stay with you long after Banjo-Tooie has faded into cutesy-N64-game hell.
