Quite simply the best...

Yes it has a learning curve, but there is no better action game for Xbox. Period.

The game forces you to master the controls before you pass the first level, but once that happens, look out. Nothing is smoother, faster, looks better, or is more fun.

One of Tecmo's best games, but Good Lord is it difficult

Ever since Ninja Gaiden was released on the old NES, I've been a fan of this series. However, after Ninja Gaiden 3 on the NES, Ryu Hayabusa wasn't seen or heard from until Dead or Alive was released on the Playstation.

Now, Team Ninja has brought Ryu back into his own, with a new Ninja Gaiden adventure on the Xbox. Sporting graphics that are just as good as Dead or Alive, and controls that add a great challenge to an already stellar game, Ninja Gaiden is probably one of the best adventure games that was released on the Xbox.

One thing that made the fun factor in this game a 4, instead of a 5, is the fact that this game is horribly difficult. It took me at least 10 tries to make it past the first boss.

Tecmo's made a great looking, great playing game. The difficulty makes this game fun, in it keeps challenging the player to find a new ways to win the fights that come at you.

I'd suggest it to anyone who loves a good action/adventure game. Definately one of the best games that Tecmo has released in the last few years.

Amazingly Addictive

Ninja Gaiden offers a full throttle experience but comes at a price. The game itself is very challenging and requires patience and time to overcome each level. The bosses are unique and can be very annoying to kill but they all offered great gameplay and action. You don't need a good storyline to enjoy the intense action of Ninja Gaiden. Anyone who loves playing as a Ninja, they will love playing this.

Simply put

Best.Game.Ever.

Smooth to play - its very difficult to master, but once you do, you'll play through it twice, three times and more.

There is a great sense of satisfaction when taking the Vigoorian Flails and tearing some baddie to shreds with a 50hit combo string.

The graphics are incredible - sound is engaging - story is... confusing, but easy to follow with a lag in the middle.

As an aside, upgrade the wooden sword to the Unlabored Flawlessness - also very satisfying.

I cannot recommend this game strongly enough - its worth buying an Xbox alone just to play this game.

Best Game Ever

First of all .. Iam not one of those people who love complex or puzzle involving slow paced games.. I like it to be straight up action, blood guts and all.
This is the kind of game Ive been waiting.. lots of action with very nice setting... and very little pointless puzzle solving.

This game is hard.. but not impossible.. just upgrade your weapon to max and save ninpo for bosses..

This game is awsome (based on demo version)

Ok the graphics in this game are beautiful and its pretty gorey (and thats a good thing) The controls are easy i cant get how its hard to get used to get to the controls the controls are just how they should be and the difficulty could of been a little bit easier but it just makes it more challenging i cant wait to get the full version of the game just the demo got me playing it for hours .

First off the x-box is 20 million times better (...) unless your 5 and under or a rookie gamer. Ninja Gaiden is hard but beatable. The graphics are stunning and in depth the surround sound in the game is THE BEST. The bosses are larger then life and highly detailed just as every inch of the game is. You start out with (...) kicking waiting to happen and it's frustrating but as you go on you grow stronger and so does your inventory. The ninpo in this game is an incredible addition the game is REWARDING if you stick with it and it will be worth it in end. Patience is a virtue and anyway's is that not a quality of a ninja. Ok now the camera yes it is a little annoying but only on some fights and if you got the skills this is no problem at all even has right trigger to put camera behind you come on. Everyone wanted to make an action game this complete for YEARS Tecmo did it and Gaiden is it BUY IT....... Out of 1 - 10 I rate this game 1,000,000 GAME OF THE YEAR >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

This may seem like beeting an old horse to death, but wow. This game is truely remarkable. There is a slight difficulty problem that I hear so much about. The entire game itself isn't that hard, but basically the bosses are. Not all bosses, just a few choice bosses. One of my friends couldn't defeat one boss so he had to have me do it. Being new to the game, I beat it like my 10th try. So if you're looking to keep busy, this is the way to do it. Action, adventure, RPG components, this game hass it all. Except for ninja monkeys.

A *very* well-made game

Ninja Gaiden is an excellent game that rivals even Halo. It offers a great balance of third-person fighter (with a robust fighting system) and RPG action (including puzzles). To top it off, the graphics are absolutely beautiful. The game, however, is fairly difficult, even on 'Normal' (the easiest setting). If you are accustomed to simply mashing buttons in a fight, you won't fare well, and you will find more frustration than entertainment. On the other hand, if you can hit a few buttons in succession, most of which are intuitive, you will really enjoy the combat system. It makes the game, and is widely varied in weapons and combos, and the selections of both grow as the game progresses. One of the best games out for the Xbox. You won't be disappointed.
