This game is so sweet! I played it at my friend's house on his machine (pentium3 866mhz, 512 ram, geforce 2 GTS 64mb). If there was only one thing i could talk about it, it would be the physics. THEY ARE EXTREMELY TASTY! I love watching myself die, just to see the game engine work on my limp corpse. I position myself near railings or cliffs, and watch as I die and do a sommersault and my arms flail. And this is all dynamic! The character movements have no defined death animations, so your corpse will crumple or flip backward in a different way every time. It's more impressive than meatloaf and more erotic than curd.
And the sound, the sound--oh, the wonderful sound! If you have some sweet speakers, you will cringe when you hear the breaking bones and snapping cartilage sound effects. Even if your speakers fall short of 'sweet', you will still love the sound. And the announcer's voice is great--he seems very enthusiastic. The weapon sound effects are tempting as well. (btw, sorry for my disturbing adjectives i use...it's somewhat of a habit of mine)
On my friend's machine, the game ran without a hitch on the default graphic settings (800x600, 32-bit, most effects turned on). Yes, 800x600 seems low for today's standards but UT2003 makes the graphics look delicious. And of course you can go way higher if you have better system specs... I installed the demo on my machine (P2 400mhz, 192mb sdram, geforce4 mx 440 64mb) and it was slower than school. That's right, it was extremely slow...the PEAK frame rate was literally around 5fps :(
As for the gameplay, it was wicked sweet. The AI was great, and the levels r0x0rz (or is it 'r0ck0Rz' LOL) My only "complaint" is the hilarious choice of words the announcer uses to tell the audience a team got another point in CTF: "Red increases their lead!" It just sounds sooo funny...almost like it's been translated. Or maybe it's just the announcer's voice, the way he says it. Buy this game.
and with that, he turned around, facing the thick darkness... and vanished. POOF!
Addictive like mountain dew

I had the original UT and loved it. This second installment is just as good. Some people have said that it is too much like Quake 3, and while I do agree that the pacing is a lot faster, I think the game is just the better for it. The graphics are incredible on my behemoth system(p4 2.2 ghz, gforce4 ti 4600). It feels like the level of detail has been increased 2x or 3x. Now, everytime I play my old UT, it feels like I'm dealing with an old game like Doom I or II. It is a tad violent, much like the first game, however because of the improved graphics and physics, it seems to be a little more explicit. New, out-of-box features in this version are the inclusion of the bombrun game type, the adrenaline and the combo system. I feel all of these are quite the necesarry bonus that give the extra depth that the game needed to expand on the first game. My only complaint lies with the number of maps: I wished they had included a couple more. However, in time, this will be partially resolved with people creating and posting their maps on the net. All in all, an excellent game has been delivered. Yes, it is merely revisionary, however the new elements and the modified feel will revitalize your thirst for fragging.
this game ownz!!!

I don't know what radion is on, but UT2K3 is TWICE as fast paced as UT ever was, and thats on normal speed! This game is a great overall improvement on the first. While I do admit it isn't perfect, it's still fun, and thats all that matters.
To many people who say it was stupid to take out the sniper rifle, hear this... IT WAS TOO GOOD!!! You could get headshot after headshot with barely any aim. Now, atleast, you need some skill to get one.
Overall, this is a great game. Go get it. NOW!

Not recommended for children under 13...my 2 cents
Infogrames has out did themselve on this new release. Not only is it a new game but a whole new game engine to. You know what that means many more new games to come.
UT2K3 game play is much different than the original UT. So it will take sometime to get use to, exspecially if your a dedicated UT player.
The graphics are by far the best that I have ever seen. So if your lookin for some fast action and a lot of gore this is for you...
This Game kicks *SS

This is one of the most fun online games on the market. You can choose from different playing fields and types, and almost always can find a good match being played. New players are welcome, and the older players help them along. Have fun with this great game.

This and UChampionship (Xbox) are the best shooters and have better gameplay than Halo, Quake and 007 series.

UT 2003-would be one of the best games our right now. If you played Unreal and Unreal T.(first ones) your a master at UT 2003, all you need to know is the combos and your the Unreal Master. This game could ALMOST get a 5 star, but it deserves a 4 star, why? The system requirements are way to high, you prob. want at least 256 ram not SD ram. Ddr or rd ram is recamonded. You want at least 1 ghz computer to get full satifaction, want at least a Geforce 2 Ti-after that you need the latest driver to play of the Nvidia cards. And if you cover all the specs. then UT 2003 will be your best friend. Best Graphics out now, and will be best until Doom 3 comes out. Fan of Unreal its a must get.
Amazing looking and fun gameplay

If you want replay value, get this game. You can sit for hours and never get bored. Although, I do advise users to be careful of their heart rate...sometimes it can skyrocket at the drop of a rocket. The only bad thing about this game is that you should have a fairly high end computer to run it if you want it to look as good as it can. Bottom Line, Endless hours of fun for a moderate price, hey...and maybe you can compete with some players like me online.

This is probably the best game I have played in a while. The graphics are jaw dropping and the new gameplay functions make this one of the best games out. It didn't have as many maps as the first one and the player options weren't as customizable, but I thought the bot AI is way better and so are the weapons.
This is a must have for all those First-person gamers, or just anyone looking for some very fast paced combat.
WARNING: If you don't have a computer that has over 1 GHz of processing power and a GeForce 2 or higher this is not for you.
Un-real Tournament, how UNreal.

This game is really good. I haven't played yet, though it looks quite GOOD! The game has the best mutiplayer service ever!
If you like playing online(of course it's free), just go to the store and buy this game. You can't play multi? Then I don't recommend you to buy this game. The game is pretty much the same to the original so you can stick to the old one. Thanks.
