I have beaten this game and let me tell you its pretty cool. In this game you are going up aganist the covenant. But thats no the only thing your aganist and you'll find that out mid-way through the game as The Flood a very powerful race fights aganist you and the covenant , but dont think the covenant is on your team because they arent . Now it's a three way battle for Halo! The Forerunner's ( the people who bulit halo) know about the flood and they called them the biggest threat to the universe. At the end it gets tuff win your in the pillar of autumn and the flood is there i mean these guys just quit . Then finaly you have 6 mins to get out of there before its blows up . Grab a warthog(Jeep) and get the out of there . After youre done with the warthog you see a battle going on between the covernant and the flood but dont stop just run right through it and get on the ship and take off as the master cheif (you) and Cortana are the only ones who made it out of halo . Captain keyes was turned into one of the flood. As you get out safely Halo blows up. The Master Cheif says at the end that this is just the begenning !

Now Halo is a very good game, personaly i think almost as good if not better then the sequal. This game provides vivid shooting/close combat in one action packed style of gaming. The game has pretty good graphicts, great plot, and is just all around fun to play. Its very adicting, and great for parties because of its system link. If your thinking of getting the 2nd halo, get this 1 first. If your even more interested in Halo go to www.freewebs.com/lalalalalabumba . yeah, and thisa game is rated M for some werd stuff i dont feel like telling you because i think your either cool, a little child, a porn star (if you are you can get my # on that site, or sum fat guy living off his mom who sells and makes icecream for a living.

This game is quite possibly my FAVORITE including PC games, and I'm including the best e.g. Doom, Half-Life etc. The single player campaign is second to none despite the run-of-the-mill storyline: you're battling aliens in a futuristic setting with shotguns, rocket launchers, machine guns and so forth... The AI is superb and the plot is full of twists, plus the environment is especially rich, incorporating everything from swamps to ice and snow. This is all good, but multiplayer is where the game really redeems itself. I was content to play single-player for several years, but now that I'm in college my roommates and I are constantly playing on the campus network.. the only things that prioritize Halo are food and classes, maybe.. If you have broadband or a LAN hookup GET THIS GAME. Even if you just have an X-Box it is a must have, or even if you don't have an X-Box, go out and buy one!.. right now!.. and then get Halo!.. 'cause it's the best!

This game is the best game i have ever seen for pc xbox anything. it got a great story and great sound track. there are no real "cheats" so it make the game that much more challenging.
the best level to play is bloody gulch. so if you like 1st person shooter game this is one worth a try.....

Short and Sweet! This is by far the best game ever made, if you don't have either halo 1 or 2 get halo 1 because its cheaper and alot more fun!

I come from being somewhat disparaging of console games in general. I prefer strategy games -- I'm more of a Civilization or Tropico game. But when I first saw Halo at its very first appearance, back at MacWorld Expo NY in 1998, I knew I must play it. It presented a blend of excitement and gameplay that was unmatched then, and is still unmatched now.

I followed its development with interest and was pleased to see that it was living up to its hype. I decided that the Xbox would be the ideal platform to play it on, even though it meant buying a console. Well, I made the plunge and must say that I'm very pleased with both the Xbox itself and especially Halo. Halo is the best game I've ever played. That's all there is to say. It's engaging, challenging, and fun! If you buy an Xbox, you MUST buy Halo, too.

First, ill list the problems. I beat the game, and now
I dont think I'll play it for a while because I'm sick of it. Its very addictive until you beat the game, but too repetitive afterwards. The graphics are awesome, the vehicles and guns are pretty cool. I wish there were more weapons. Other than that, I can't think of anything bad to say about it. It really is one of the best games I've played in a long time. I can't think of a better game out now for the xbox. I haven't tried multiplayer yet, but I here its even better than single player.

halo is a very fun game to play.it could use a little bit more levels but its really a good game.system link is just about the most fun part of the game,especially snipers with no radar.it has to be on of the best shooter games,the only comparison is halo 2(no duh thats a comparison)and counter-strike.halo isnt one of the impossible army games because you usually get help from marines and you have better health,strength,speed and you even have energy shields, but that doesnt mean its a pushover its got difficulty settings:easy(it explains itself)normal(this is basically for people with xbox skills new to halo)heroic(this is for experienced halo players)ledgendary(suicide,for the hardcore halo addict.its not impossible though.)and ten levels,there are only ten levels which is not a lot but some of these are pretty long.and when you play halo campaign you dont have to be alone because you have co-op(2 player)mode.yet after you beat the gmae there is sitll more fun with 2 player non-coopretive battling such as slayer(who ever gets most kills win)CTF(capture the flag)koth(king of the hill)oddball(kind of like keepaway)race(see who can reach checkpoints first).there are even vehicles in the game.basically everyone who has an xbox and knows xbox games has or will have halo.the story of the game is set off in the future where you try to out run a covenant(alien)ship.you ship makes a blind jump across space,and after the jump you find halo(artifical ring with land ,and water, oceans ,etc on the inside.halo was created by the forerunners an ancient alein race who the covenant have technology from and know who the forerunners were the forerunners were kind of like thier ancestors,yet the covenant think halo is a weapon when it is actually not and kind of is. they uncover the dark secret that halo holds and everyone incuding you and the covenant try to escape.if you pay close attenion to teh videos in the game you will hear what halo is,and i will not tell you what actually happens on halo so i dont spoil the game.)some of the information i have said you will not hear in the game because i have read the whole halo book series and that is 100% related to this game and the books also fill in blank spots not told in the game.this is my review an i hope it will help you. :)

This game is unbelieveable! I first played it on mutiplayer and was blown away. I knew this game was a keeper. If you haven't played this game you should definitly try it. I am now in anticipation of Halo 2 and I am definitly going to buy it!
