Halo will be one of the most remembered first person shooters
ever made. Most of the games weapons and vehicals were
borrowed extensively from aliens
the marines fighting the covenent was like starship troopers,
and the sarge in halo, was basically sargent apone from Aliens.
(the marine assualt rifle looks almost exactly like the USS
Sulaco from Aliens) You are the master cheif, their has been
a draft. You were just an ordinary person plucked by the military
and forced to go to war. You got very good at target practice.
You are shot at the fall of reach you fight, even though you
are bleeding but you still fight. You save all the people at
reach and sacrifice yourself. But the military brings you back
as a cybernetic orginizm equiped with the lates in high-tech
battle armour. You awaken on the piller of autome only to find
that it is being quickly over run by the covenent a evil
race of aliens who tried to rase a holy war on the human race.
The marines are fighting a losing battle but at least they
have you. The covenent try to use the ring planet halo as
a weapon to destroy the race...they don't know how to activate it
properly...If you don't blow up halo, earth will destroyed,
the flood will kill everyone. This is a classic, I looove
the ending...greatest FPS with a sci-fi story since...since...

Although i do like Turok for the pc (some of my friends think thats kinda lame) i can pick out a decent game.
Well this game is 5 times better than decent. Although i haven't played since atari (my dad played on atari) i know that this is the best game ever.

Hello I am reviewer Halo for the Microsoft XBOX machine I am hoping to open your minds to see that even if Halo is a okay game is not the greatest or above the par in this review I will show you this and more.

GRAPHIC: Halo has much pretty things like the ground is nice to look at I like that but pretty graphic make not a game like Super Mario Brothers 3 in the Nintendo Entertainment System was good and graphic is not but for a new game graphic is high up there.

SOUND: Halo sound is rocks but do not have the same effect of older games the gun sound is realistic and so is the vechile it is also very real like but machine should be hooked to stereo surround because it support Dolby Digitial Surround Sound.

CONTROL: Control is a little hard this is because Microsoft XBOX machine's big controller is bigger than my hand but you can customize it to meet need but after a few trys anyone can play it and if you ever used a Microsoft sidewinder for the home PC you will know how this controller feel like.

STORY: OK the game story not is good because it like the other Doom games and Alien movies it just copy-off no good story to be found here at all.

FUN FACTOR: Blast aliens get tiring in awhile so my fun was only short it is also a hard game when putting up difficulty level but normal is easy but fun is had here non the least even if only for short periods blasting with friends makes the game much more enjoying than by yourself.

In close, Halo is fine game but not a classic of what the Nintendo Entertainment System has that is why I am write this review to say it is just basically another Doom copy off and not a classical game this is the same concept of what other first person shooters in stores are.

Do not listen to this hype the is just because it is the best XBOX launch game but does not mean it could be a classic game trust me on this even my friend agree.

I hope this review help you to decide whether it is good for you because [the cost of the] game is something that deserve understanding of what to expect and this game do not live to the hype Microsoft like to give in their advertisement period thank you for reading this review.

At the beggining X-box wasn't that popular and then Halo came.Halo was like X-boxes logo,it was everything an X-box game should be like.Halo was about a man in an amored suit(forgot wat it was called)and he was the last of his kind.They called him Master Chief and(at first i thought it was master chef)he had a mission to kill all of the covedent(alein enimeis).

The covedent were attacking you and your ship along with every other person on your ship so you are one of the only one's left and it's up to Master Cheif(you) to kill all of the covedent and destroy Halo.

well i could sit here yapping away at how great this game is and how many times ive played it and so on but i think halo has reached a popularity that everyone would long for in high school :) its the best game i have ever played period. (oh yea its 1000 times better than halo 2) that said get this one first and skip halo 2 not the other way around.

If you are debating about buying this game, just know that is has been the main reason many people have even bought the xbox. It was for me...

Setting the bar for First-Person Shooters

I admit, I never had any desire to even buy an X-Box. I was convinced that it didn't have any games that could match, let alone surpass, anything of the same genre on the PS2. Oh, how wrong I was.

First a word of oh-so-obvious warning, this game has been givin a well-earned "M for Mature" rating. In other words keep it away from the kiddies.

Now that that's outta the way here's the skinny. You start as the Master Chief, The last of the Spartan-II super soldiers. The ship you're on, The Pillar of Autumn, is under heavy attack from the enemy, An alien race know as the Covenant. Outgunned and seriously outnumbered, you must fight you way to an escape pod and that's just the first level. It doesn't get any easier from there.

The music goes really well with the levels and is by far one of the best scores ever written. The actors do a splendid job performing their roles. I could swear that SGT. Johnson is the same cigar chomping sarge from "Aliens" but maybe that's just me. The graphics are outstanding. The different enviorments add to the mystery of this strange alien device called Halo.

I must emplore everyone reading this review to remember when this game was released. Naturally this game's graphics can't compare to something like Final Fantasy X, but again check when they where released.

The weapons are very well done. If the enemy get too close you can use you gun for a melee attack and no two are alike. The human weapons have a very military feel to them. Each one built for it's speical use. The Cov. weapons are really fun. Whereas I am fond of the Needler gun, others may prefer the Plasma Rifle. Maybe that's because once you're out of ammo you can find more for the Needler, but you have to find a new gun with the Rifle.

Keep an eye out for ammo cashes and medpacs. There are a few in every level but sometimes you have to find them. Best of all some have different weapons you may need. Perhaps just as useful is the Chief's built-in flashlight. Very helpful in those foggy and lowlight areas. Yes, it does let them enemy (Cov or...) know your postion, so use it wisely.

All in all this Game is the single reason the X-Box is still even on the map, much less the market. Microsoft knows this. Why do you think Halo 2 is so short? Microsoft is gonna need something to get thier X-Box 360(I think That's what they're calling it after all that fuss) off to a good start. I hope this review is helpful.

This game does have great graphics, but certain parts of the game are boring and repetative. I finished the game in normal mode in 3 days. There's nothing special about my game playing ability, except that I can get away with not sleeping. I felt the game was too short, and I had no motivation to try the whole game over in a more advanced mode, because of the boring and repetative nature of MOST of the game. Level after level after level after level, yet all these levels are the same.

Tha multiplayer modes are great, and never ending, as you can play over and over again, always with a unique game. If you know "Perfect Dark", you know that it's solo missions are OK, but the multiplayer combat simulator rules. Similar story here.

HALO is NOT a waste of money, however, don't play it too much or you'll have finished it when you think you're just getting started.

Bonus review: DO NOT BUY AIRFORCE DELTA STORM! Waste of money.

This game kicks all other games butts!Move ova Grand Theft Auto. The game has tons of awesome weapons like assult rifle,shotgun,sniper,pistol,ROCKET LAUNCHER,needler,plasma pistol and yadda yadda yadda.This game will never be topped. NEVER NEVER NEVER BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA.
