Wait for the PC version

The PC version should be along a little while after the X-Box version, and it will be worth the wait. Everything will be better in the full-blown PC version, for which the game was originally designed. Also, you can know that you are not supporting Microsoft! Bungie developed this game, and they were long time mac(pc) developers, but got bought out by Microsoft for the X-Box launch. You can buy a better PC for the price of an X-Box almost... This will hopefully follow on Bungie's Myth 2, which is probably the best online multi-player game of all time, esp with the WW2 conversion.

this game sucks! the graphics are as good as computer graphics. the controls are bad too. why don't game companies get it that controling movement with the left analog stick and aiming with the right just plain blows? this game is way over hyped and just plain bad. the ps2 and gamecube are way superior to this load of trash delivered on an even bigger load of trash-the xbox. bill gates should give up the gaming thing. all he did was put a computer in a big sucky black box. if they put this game on ps2 or gamecube, it will be a sad day for gaming. it was also a big mistake to put gta 3 and gta vc on xbox because now, people will be compelled to buy this waste of space system instead of the much greater ps2. people who say we halo/xbox bashers cannot comprehend such a great game are stupid. if we are smart enough to tell the world how stupid this game is, then we are smart enough to comprehend its bad graphics and bad controls. i certainly hope the second one will be better. do not buy this game!

I cant see why people call halo the greatest fps of all time. i played the game at a friends house and i was expecting more from the game. the single player was simply pointless. there was no point to it. the 2 stars are for the multiplayer, which is fun for the first 15 minutes and then gets repetitive and boring. the graphics are ok but the controls are truly horrible. the whole x-box controller design is horrible for that matter. Max Payne, especially on PC, is a much more interesting and enjoyable game than halo. a disappointment.

I had the priviledge to play this game at the Halo Launch Party in Chicago and it was one of the best FPS games I had ever played in my entire life. The game revolves around the Master Chief who is the last of a superhuman soldier group only known as Spartans. He is onboard a ship that falls under attack and is forced to wage a guerilla war on the alien threat. The gameplay is extremely easy to use giving the Xbox controller a great usage in the course of the game. This is where it truly shines. Graphically the game can only be described as a work of art. The multiplayer experience is awesome, it utilizes four controllers on one Xbox and gives the ability to link four Xbox consoles and Four Televisions up in order to have a decent 16 person LAN party. It is a very fun game and the difficulty levels and multiplayer experience gives it a great replay value all in itself. At least rent the game and if you lose you skepticism then buy the game and enjoy.

I think that this game is not as good as Perfect Dark but is almost better then Goldeneye. This game is better then any EA shooter ever made. The good thing about Halo is that it's graphics are almost as good as GAMECUBE.

Very nice first person shooter, once you get the control down pat its a fun ride and extremely entertaining, only small gripe I have is that some of the human characters look so bad it's almost funny. It's really wierd cause everyhting else in this world is gorgeous. Is it a system seller, I dont think so, but I do think it's a must have if you already own the system. It's got some replay value as well.

Hope you don't have plans for a few days....

Halo ...! Why? Because you wake up from a combat enduced stooper and realize you just lost 6 hours of your life to a damn video game. I am addicted to this game like it is ... . Just replaying the levels after you beat them on progressively more difficult levels will keep you entertained for weeks. Eye candy and Dolby 5.1 surround completely subdue your grasp on the real world and transport you to the world of Halo. Amazing is the best word I can think of for the controls and the game play. Quit whining and learn some new skills in life you keyboard and mouse cowards. This is what I have wanted video games to be like for years and finally the technology has caught up with the human imagination. I may have to hit re-hab soon or my thumbs might fall off. Bottom line: Don't buy this game if you want to keep a job, a girlfriend (unless she wants to play two player mode with you) or have a social life..... I haven't had a full night of sleep since I bought that one green-eyed black box and this horrible game.

in case you needed a road map THIS is the launch title to own. Remember how you felt the first time you layed your hands on Metal Gear? Tekken? MK? Doom? Sonic? Mario? ( anyone remember Space Invaders?)you get the point, now get the game.

this game is by far better then goldeneye i own both and goldeneye was great for it`s time but this is the 21st century here! you can drive a tank or a armored vehicle that has a gun and if you have two controllers one person can drive and the other can man the gun or if you don`t do two player then an AI bot will man the gun for you. I havent driven the tank yet but i am sure it is great! you can only carry two wepons at once because microsoft wanted to make it realy realistic but that is plenty of guns. I got this as my first xbox game and i love it! i would recoment this to anyone if they were of age (the esrb rating).
