This game just takes different elements from other first person shooters and tries to make it into one game, and it failes by alot. It is just not executed as well as other games, and if a kid has the 64, playstation or ps2, chances are they already have games like this

Hi.I played the Halo 1 and 2 from my dad's office building since I was wondering I should get one.I didn't really like first peson.Then 1 day I got so dizzy from playing Halo and Halo 2 I felt like puking. Not just that, but The game got pretty boring after sometime, because,as you know,all you do is kill aliens or humans depending on which side you're on.The graphics ain't that good either.Oh, and if you don't have an Xbox like me, don't get 1, because thy're are hardly any good games on it and it could overheat and set your house on fire and you have to get a replacement from Xbox.com, and it could freeze.Get a Ps2.Here are some nice games on it:Jak and Daxter;the Precursor Legacy,Jak 2,Jak 3,Ratchet and clank,Ratchet and Clank;Going Commando,Ratchet and Clank;Up your Arsenal,Prince of Persia;the Sands of Time, Prince of Persia;Warrior Within,Socom;U.S. Navy Seals,Socom 2;U.S. Navy Seals,Devil MayCry, Devil May Cry 2,Devil May Cry 3;Dante's Awakeing,Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater,Grand Theft Auto 3,Grand Theft Auto;Vice City,Grand Theft Auto;San Andreas,God Of War,Resident Evil;Outbreak,Sly Cooper and The Thievious Devious Racoonous,Sly 2; Band of Thieves,Dark Cloud, And Dark Cloud 2.Oh, And don't buy a Nintendo Gamecube unless you have it already,because it's too childish, and Xbox is more for adults.Just like Goldilocks,Ps2 is just right.Well, that's my review.Buy the glorious Ps2!!!(Oh, and if the good game list way too long for you, sorry about it!There are just so many good games).

This is the best game on the Xbox. That's because all the other games it on suck even more. In this game you just go around shooting people. Lame! This game is so violent that it makes you want to run outside throw up even if your over 17. There is one good thing about this game though. It makes good fire wood. I like games like Super Mario Sunshine and Resident Evil because they are better quality. When you play Halo (I hate that word so I'am going to use H# to represent it) it pours so much junk into your brain. I can't believe people think H# is good. It sucks! People should like more joyful charcters like Mario instead of some freak in a costume called the Master Cheif or something like that. H# is so lame it doesn't even have good guys only bad guys. To me every guy in H# is bad. Everything about this game is bad. I would like to give it -5 stars but I can't. Halo isn't worth your money unless your looking for some really good fire wood.

This game is my favorite xbox game of all time. It is so much fun this game came out when the xbox first came out and this game showed what the xbox could do.I think every person with an xbox has this game because its just a pure classic. It has so much action it is crazy and the story line is one of best game story lines. I think you will have alot of fun learning things that happens with master chief.

This was the first game I ever got for my xbox and it was the main reason for me buying an xbox in the first place. I had heard so much about this game from friends and at school that I was amazed at how a game could be as good as they said it was. Amazingly, it was better. Not just better, but miles better than any other game I had ever played in my life. As soon as I started the first level I was addicted and blown away at the same time at how fun this game actually was. The fantastic choice of weapons ( my favorite being the psitol), The stunning graphics, the outstanding AI (mainly the marines but also the enemy's on hard or legendary), the great vehicles, including the warthog and the banshee, and the massive ineractive levels made this game stand out from the rest and added to the superbly fun gameplay. I mean, you could play this game for hours and not get bored of it, it is that fun. To top it all off, Halo has probably got the best soundtrack of any game ever, including chilling music when you first encounter the flood, and fast paced lively music when you are just killing the heck out of the covenant. I especially like killing the grunts. Another thing I love about this game are the various comments (some hilarious) made by both marines and enemy's depending on their situation. My favorite being when I shot a marine and he said "Hey, do I owe you money?." The enemy's also say things like. "they're everywhere", and "we're all gonna die." The storyline is another excellent feature: it is interesting and has many twists that keep you invovled in the game.
Now, I think the multiplayer mode in this game is the main reason for its outstanding replay value and it differs from most other games. The multiplayer on Halo is just the most amazingly fun part of the game and with the hundreds of different things you can do, it never gets boring. I mean, you can have catre the flag, deathmatch, slayer, king of the hill, oddball, and many more options in which you can customise the weapons, the vehicles, the frags etc. PLaying split screen against 3 other friends is something ehich you can literrally do for days and still not get bored.
Another great feature of this game is the Cooperative play which lets you and a friend play the actual campaign mode together both as the master chief. This is great for hours of endless fun and is you are finding one level particularly hard, you can just get a friend and play it together.
Anyone who says this game is boring don't know what they are talking about. I have had this game for about 2 years now and I still cant get enough of it. I play at least a few hours everyday when I can, and if I with my friends this is the only thing we play. The only thing I dont like about Halo is the level "The Library" which I have played once ( as opposed to Assualt on the Control Room which I have played at least 50 times) and was so glad to get rid of the same endless hallway one after another that I never played it again. Apart from that it is definitly the best game out for xbox and it is a must for anyone with an xbox. The violence and blood is nowhere near as much as gta or other "M" rated games so i would recommend it for anyone over 13. If you are thinking of halo 2, get this one first ( i am one of the few who think that Halo is better than Halo 2) and enjoy the hours of endless fun.

Good game that could have been better... There are some spectacular boards and then there are levels that look the same for what seems like forever, as if the designers got lazy and decided to use the same scene over, and over...and what's with only being able to carry 2 guns...
