The"craze"

I keep hearing about this game.I own a ps2 and a gamecube.I always ask"whats so special about xbox?".People always reply with the name"halo".then I ask"whats so special about halo?".
then they reply"it is the best game ever".then I think"if people are buying xboxs just for halo,its got to be the best god**** game ever". To this day I still ponder what the big deal is.its just one game,how good can it be...

It starts off promising but then gets repetitive and boring. This game is all hype. There are tons of better first person shooters out there.

... The game itself, while somewhat neat looking, was ridiculous. I felt like I was being attacked by hordes of MUPPETS, as that's what the enemies looked like. The weapons were all stupid and unrealistic...

this game is way overhyped. the graphics are ugly. and by the way whats so fun about shooting aleins. thers not even gore in this game. theres gore in lots of games but no not here. the controls are really messed up. the weapons were very unrealistic. and you can only carry 2 guns at a time. most shooters let you carry up to 10 guns at a time. the storry makes no sense. and the music is irritating. i would give this game 0 stars but i wasnt allowed. this is the worst shooter on xbox. worse than brute force worse than timesplitters worse than dare i say turok evelution. if you want a good shooter get unreal championship.

This game is awful.it is the worst for any system.i have played better games for atari.the graphics....the controls and gameplay are terrible.the environment is fake and to weird.the enemy looks stupid.the game is stupid.....if you want real action get a PLAYSTATION 2.the games,graphics,gameplay,etc. are a whole lot better.

THIS IS THE MOST OVERRATED GAME SINCE MAX PAYNE. IT HAS BAD CONTROLS AND EVEN WORSE GRAPHICS. THE GRAPHICS ARE SUBPAR TO PS1. THEY LOOK BLOCKISH. I'VE SEEN GAMES RUINED BECAUSE OF THE BAD CONTROL STYLE THAT THIS GAME HAS. DIEHARD VENDETTA GAMECUBE VERSION, TUROK EVOLUTION GAMECUBE VERSION, GHOST RECON AND MANY MORE. IT SUCKS.

This game is way over-hyped. The graphics are good but not revolutionary, and it's basically just another kill-fest. Sure people say it has a ton of incredible parts to them, but I haven't seen any of them yet. And besides that, the controls suck, even with the new "controller 'S'".

I played this game at the E3 expo earlier in the year. It would have been very pretty if it had a consistent framerate, but that's something that I hope will have been cleared up by the time they release. Of more concern is the gameplay - I don't understand why this game has been hyped so much. The controls were horrible. First person shooters simply are not playable with a console joypad. Hyping the game and saying they've "optimized" the controls does not fix the fact that you can't move and aim properly without a PC-style mouse and keyboard. Since it's not even out yet I refuse to give it a 1 star rating - but please rent before buying. Note: This probably isn't one for the kids given it's rather violent content.

I will admit that this game is nice. Its AI rocks, it has nice graphics and the coop mode is fun. But come on, if I wanted to play a 1st person shooters I will go to my pc. This is supposed to be a console and its top game is an overdone 1st person shooter, which I think will be released for the pc as well. Can we get something better than oddworld and halo Microsoft? Well I'm looking forward to my Xbox's future but I see it falling come Dec 29 as Final Fantasy X for the PS2 Is released...
