halo is the greatest first person ever created.the graphics at the time were stunning and even now 3 years later they look great.halo is one of the few fps that has an involving story.and another strong point for halo is the master chief hes cool.im a halo fan but the only complaint i have is the diffuculty its a bit easy if you have an xbox and you were stupid enough not to buy BUY IT NOW WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR HALO IS WAITING

Halo Is by far one of the best shooters of all time. It has a great campaign mode. The only thing I don't like about the halo is the multiplayer modes--they are just really not that fun. The only multiplayer level I really enjoy is bloodgulch. It is great to play if you have 1 person over, or if you have 4 people over. But overall halo is a really great game.

I spent the most time with my friends playing video games, playing on Halo. I, personally, think it is better (gameplay wise) than Halo 2. The graphics may not be as great, but the game is still really fun to play. My favourite map definately has to be Sidewinder, its huge and the best looking. If you have a Xbox this is a must own.

HALO are Great series-and thankfully are only on XBox!

I`m sorry but if HALO were on PS2-it would rank as Fifth faverite series on PS2 after Metal Gear Solid,Grand Theft Auto and the two thers.HALO are great series but won`t be as great on PS2-as with MGS2 was ported to XBox(Substance) and that did not do too well there(SALES).
HALO should stay on XBox-or be ported to Nintendo systems-but go no further.HALO would do better on GCN than PS2.even if this were Metroid Prime.It should be ported to XBox,and since it is kinda like HALO it will do good there.In even fanboy reviews XBox fanboys place Nintendo as an ally-against PlayStation.I would i hate to see a good series go to waste-as the maker of MGS said "Ports to major rival consoles are un-loyal to the fans" thats why MGS is not a XBox or GCN game.

P.S.:Speaking of which,i don`t have an XBox no more-it broke and i am wondering about "Return To Castle Wolfenstein:Ressurextion" for PS2-GameSpot rated it 4.9 but IGN rated it 7.6-and many reviews liked it so should i get it for PS2-WHAT do you think?

If you are into scifi and shooters, then this is for you. I played it through to the end but it didn't capture me as much as other games do. I would beat a level here and there and eventually beat the game. Those dang warthogs are a pain to drive though! Geesh! But the graphics and cutscenes are wonderful. Recommended.

This game when released was the best 1st person shooter console game available. But today with doom and half life versions for xbox, there is actually something to compare halo to, and it doesn't stand up.

First off, the plot is utterly pointless. I never felt invested or sympathetic to master chief, just frustrated when he died that I would have to replay a section.

The weapons are lame. Released after the PC version of quake iii, halo's weapons seem limp in comparison. None of the "futuristic" aspects seem particularly believeable or useful, for that matter.

The vehicles suck. Driving the vehicles in Halo is as fun as operating a forklift, which is actually quite entertaining in GTA san andreas, so maybe it is not quite that fun. I guess it is more like driving that "super action wacky bike" from the southpark "chimpocoman " episode.

2 player story mode rules! the best part of the game and the only reason to reccomend it is it is a great game to play with a friend.

multiplayer deathmatch is average. Give halo props for the first decent multiplayer battle for xbox, but it wasn't as good as it's PC competition when it came out- The much older quake III still looked and played better- and now seems OK but no better than most.

That said the 2 player campaign and multiplayer make this a good 10-15$ diversion, just don't expect the immersive atmosphere of doom III or the intriguing plot twists of half life,

Is all the hype around this game true? Yes it is. Not only is it the best launch game for the Xbox, but one of the best games of its time. With its wide levels, pretty good graphics, and pretty good voice overs, this game is a must have. The multiplayer is a great addition to this game, even though there's no Xbox Live support due to its time. If you like video games, purchase this now.

This is the best game I have played in my life!!! This is unfreakingbelivable!!!! I abosolutly love it!!!! There is only one problem with this game and that is you can't switch it to 3rd Person View. All the rest of my family can't play it because they get motion sickness. I don't know if they fix it in Halo 2, but i hope so.
