I found this game to be fun and filled with facts. Some I already knew and some I didn't. The graphics, I loved them. Needed a sweater. I found a couple of the puzzles to be too easy but who complains when on the whole the game was well worth the money I paid for it.

IT SHOULD SAY USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! IF THE COMPUTER DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH VRAM - THE GAME SHOULDNT OPERATE , IT SHOULDNT CORRUPT THE DRIVERS AND SHUT DOWN THE ENTIRE SYSTEM- AND IF NOT RECOMMENDED FOR LAPTOPS -IT SHOULD SAY THAT!!! Benoit Sokal is indeed a hero of a storyteller. The game is packed with passion and emotion. The scenes are beautifully woven together and the views are breathtaking. The soundtrack is excellent. It's as if you're watching a movie and you play a part of it. Gameplay will keep you glued to your PC 'till the wee hours as you solve the logical puzzles.
One of the most beautiful games ever created since the Myst Trilogy. Buy it by all means, Syberia 2 will be released October 2003.

I love these types of games - in fact, I prefer them to all others. Dreamcatcher has done a great job of improving game play (if you've played the Dracula series you know exactly what I mean). The puzzles are just the right difficulty level - although it only took me about 12 hours to complete the game. The graphics were totally awesome (Dreamcathcer has ALWAYS had excellent graphics). The controls were very intuitive, and the game play was smooth - no erratic movements. My only complaint is that it only took 12 hours to complete - I want more......

Best Adventure Game Since "The Longest Journey"...

"The Longest Journey" brought us back to the Golden Age of adventure gaming, which had titles such as the legendary "Grim Fandango" and "Full Throttle" (both by LucasArts Entertainment). "Syberia" takes us back also: not only to the Golden Age, but a forgotten age. Starting in Valadilene, France, Syberia traces the story of a woman looking for the acquisition of an apparently washed out automato/toy company but finds much more than she could have ever bargained for...
Play this game. Its more fun than the bland title seems to show.

Excellent! Beautiful graphics, intriguing storyline. The only drawback was the puzzles tended to be too simple.

Syberia is one of the best games that I have played. The story line and the graphics were great. It was like reading a good book. It was very hard to quit. It's nice to find a game that you can play without searching out cheats.

The Longest Journey is still Number ONE!!!

Well, the graphics are beautiful and better than TLJ but that's about it.
Syberia had a good story at the start. However, it failed to develop the story
like in TLJ. The many characters in the Syberia were not interesting but rather annoying.
The worst is the Ending...Anyway, if u have never played The Longest Journey, you may not know what I am talking about.

For MYST fans Syberia may be a good prelude to Parable/Mudpie, for others its an excellent problem solving game with tremendous graphics. The puzzles are not difficult and the ending sets up for SYBERIA 2 which hopefully will allow a first person viewpoint and a 360 degree environment.
