I will by this game tomorrow. So far by the offical rating It tells me four stars so thats what I'm going with until I play it for pc. The only other time I played it was at my cosins house. I thought it was perfet. Since I don't have an xbox and only have a ps3,I'm going to go with pc. People say it's better on xbox. Better find out tommorow. [...]

The characters are interesting and script well done, but this could have been better, and should have featured the same kind of fun in the sequel. Anyway, a good Star Wars game.

My friends bought Xboxes soley for this game. They swear by it. Like them, I'm a big fan of the Black Isle/Bioware RPG's. I've played through Baldur's Gate 2, Planescape: Torment, Fallout and Neverwinter Nights and loved all of them. My friends told me to get this game, so I did (for PC, obviously). I put in maybe 25 hours into KotOR. It was OK. I had some (at times, major) graphical glitches, but that can be overlooked if the game is great. This wasn't great. The gameplay seemed way to repetitive, and I found the worlds that were to be explored rather boring.

My opinions are biased, however. I've never been a huge fan of Star Wars. I liked the originals (before Lucas destroyed them). However, I found the newer ones to be disappointing. All of that left a bad taste in my mouth for the series in general.

This is honestly the most fun I've had playing an RPG in a long time. Now I've played a number of good RPGs, but they all had one fatal flaw; after a while, they got boring. Take Neverwinter Nights for example; its a great game, but halfway through the story it loses its momentum and gets boring. Knights of the Old Republic never suffers from this loss of momentum. There is always an interesting event or titanic fight around the next corner. Also, the NPCs have true depth and character, something not often accomplished on the PC.

This review is coming from a devoted Lucasarts gamer who has been playing Star Wars games since Dark Forces, Tie Fighter, and Rebel Assault. Star Wars KOTOR is by far the best addition to the SW series. Thats right, even better than the amazing JK II Jedi Outcast. The story is amazing, with great plot twists, actually I WOULD SAY THE GREATEST PLOT TWIST OF ALL TIME! Even better than the Teacher ending up being Sir Leigh Teabing, if you people who can choose books know what im talking about. The characters are great. I mean Bastila is probably the best female love interest in any game to date. I mean Jan Ors was okay, really, she wasnt very good with a blaster. Bastila on the other hand is so sexy while swinging a light saber around while powerful arcs of electricity fire form her hands. It is by far the greatest game of all time. Yes, the greatest I have to say. Plot and character development will leave you asking for more. The new LucasArts engine with stop-action (play the game to find out what i mean) is probably the best new addition to a certain type of games since C and C Generals. Overall, I belive you should buy this game, as it took my breath away everytime I played it.

This game is great. I love star wars, I love the universe, I love the concept of this game, I love this game. Oh, and I love Rpgs. The game gets a four rating because it is an rpg, and i dont count it as "fun", rather "enjoying". You get to chose to be good or evil, has multpile endings, u look different if ur evil, and you love the characters. Late in the game you have to decide on who of your party your gonna kill, and no matter who it is, its gut wrenching. Then you can kill more of your friends if ur evil. I did this, and was in shock that i could actually do it. And I relized soemthing, they sucked ass. They died in like 5 seconds. This game is one of the most engaging games you can play and has a good story. What would an rpg be with out a good story? The worst, pointless game ever. BUT THIS GAME AND JOIN THE DARKSIDE

What i think of this game is for myself to think of, but as to how i think other people would like this game is based on how i think. But dont we all have our opinions! Here's mine:
GENRE: RPG/STRATEGY/ADVENTURE/ROLEPLAYING.....


GAMEPLAY: this game starts out sort of slow but picks up and gets really fun! The combat is so outragously cool because you get to choose what attack or force power you use to defgeat the enemy. But its actually a hard game, for example: the part where you have to fight darth mallak is really hard and when you have to find out codes or passing the training tests on the second planet well, that part is kinda just anoying.

LOOKS: The multi colored combat has no lag what so ever unless your computers messed. So thats a boost! The faces are very detailed but the mpg droids are a bit fake....anyway the light sabers and force powers are genuine originality just like the long range weopons.....

Over all this was one of top games because it was my first. And everything is a break through for starwars rpg's and this is probably gonna be the best s.w. game for a long... long... time.........CHECK OUT MY REVIEWS~!

After being dissapointed with Neverwinter Nights, I hestitated to buy another Bioware game, but my sons persuaded me. We tried, we really tried, to play this game. It looked good and started out okay, but quickly got very, very boring. Basically, you just run around, up and down the same corridors.

After an initial frenzy of play, all three of us just slowly stopped playing it. After a few weeks, I did a quick poll and then uninstalled and sold it.

(During the game, you are supposed to earn light or dark points. By the time I stopped playing, I realized I was still exactly neutral. My oldest son, who was trying to get on the dark side, ended up going toward the light side.)

Cant even enjoy it

For some reason I can get it to D/L on 3 different pcs....
