All you guys who can't get this thing to work, download the patch again and play with your graphics options a bit. Should work fine.
That said the game is kind of boring. Every time I meet an enemy, after firing off a few shots with blasters, I have to go into each character and change their weapons to swords...After doing this a thousand times, it gets pretty tedious. Now I just charge with the swords and take a few blasts.
The characters pretty much hack every body up without much instruction.
Some of the puzzles are redicous. To kill the rancor you have to put a bomb and some 'liquid' into a pile of dead corpses. Then the cutscene happens and the racor comes over and sniffs and the bomb blows the liquid into a gas that kills the rancor. How the hell is anyone going to figure that little 'easter egg' out without being told. Oh well, I've read you can lob bombs at it until he's dead.
I guess the world in general gives me little movitivation to go on with the fantasy. Gameplay is just too boring.

This game sucks! I cant believe I spent my money on this piece of crap! You have default attack so the game attacks for you instead of you attacking by yourself. You cant even jump or dodge. Never ever buy this game.
Shame, Bioware!

This game is a truncated version of Baldur's Gate II with 2003 graphics and lightsabers. Baldur's Gate II was far longer, more involving, had a more compelling storyline, deeper gameplay, and boasted far more satisfying romances. In an of itself, KOTOR is a great game, mind you, but I feel that it is obsolete before the shadow of Baldur's Gate II--a game that came out long before it!
Terrible!!!

The worst game I ever played. All you do is run around and click on Sith troopers to kill them. You do not shoot by yourself, you click on an enemy and the game kills him for you. Do not buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Worst game in the world

I think this game gets 10/10. On x-box. I don't have an x-box, but my friends and cusions do, so i play it often. SO, i said "Ill save up 50 bucks to buy it!"
I messed up. The pc version takes up alot of space, and if i use codes and mods? I can't leave the first freakin' door. Its fun, and chatings fun, but if i cheat to taris, well.. i don't have carth. BUT i have too much stuff.. Im evil..

I will say that this game was fun to play, but if you have small children or any children under 16 for that matter, I suggest you wait to play this while they are either sleeping or not in the same room. I say this because there are scenes starting right at the very beginning of the game of half nudity. Dancing Zwi-liks (sorry I know I spelled that wrong) who are wearing what I would hardly clothes. The word Da*m among other bad words are used often throughout the game, and I found I had to cut down the sound and just read the subtitles as I found that highly offensive. It does not seem like they had the most intelligent people writing the scripts for these characters, I mean come really why do those bad words have to be put in there anyway? If there was not all that semi nudity and profanity, I would have given this game 5 stars and not decided to sell this on ebay. This is not a game I would want any of my children to play. If I can also give this a grade, I give it a C-

ok, lets just get this strait. This game looks REALLY cool. I got all exited about it. But then when i took the 15 min. to download it, and i started it up and everything, my 2 year old computer didn't have the right video card! Only 2 years old!!! I was so ticked off. So just make sure your computer has this state of the art, $299 video card.

Knights of the Old Republic is not only the most immersive RPG I have ever played (and yes, I played and loved BioWare's other offerings) but is also the greatest video game ever created. Character customization has enough depth to make it vital and interesting, but not so much as to bore. The plot is wonderful, and the freedom to explore different shades of the plot is unmatched.

Played the whole game. It took me about 70 hours. Not one crash. Not a single glitch. I have Nvidea Gforce 4 Ti4400 graphics card. 1.2 AMD and 256 ram. It is a fantastic game. Probably the best I have ever played. The people that are experiencing the crashes must not have a computer that can run it. It is a huge game, comes with 4 CD's. It's awesome.
