Not quite what I expected.

It is a good addition to the SIMS but not as good a the other expansion packs have been. You will get alot more form the Nightlife expansion. Also, I had hoped that the University Expansion would be alittle more involved than it is. You start college and finish within a few hours of play time.

Jimmy and Mandy just moved into collage. They started to study right away. Jimmy was getting tired so he took a nap. It was a school day. Hint: Everyday is a school day in collage
Mandy tried to wake up Jimmy but no use. Mandy went off to class and rasied her GPA to about a C+. When Mandy got home, Jimmy was awake. Mandy and Jimmy talked for about a sim hour. After Mandy and Jimmy were done talking, Jimmy watched tv while Mandy studied.
Hint: Studying is known as research in this game.
Mandy studied really hard and got her GPA up to a B. The next day after Mandy went to school again and Jimmy stayed home, Jimmy got a phone call. It was his teacher. His teacher said that Jimmy would be expelled if he did not come to school tommorow. The next morning, Mandy was studying. And Jimmy was sleeping. School came, Jimmy did not go and he got expelled. Now Mandy is all alone.
Hint: After somebody is expelled they become an adult.
Mandy did reaserch until her GPA was an A+. After collage was over in 8 semesters, Mandy graduated and became a lawyer.

As of late, I am growing more and more into liking the Sims2 University expansion pack. At first, it took me some time to get acclimated to the game, but I must agree that it's a great addition to the Sims2.

However, if you want your SIM to be "A" student and graduate with honors, you must ensure they do their homework, research paper and go to class. This can be very time consuming and will not leave your SIM enough time to get into other activties (outside of eating and sleeping). IMO, it's hard keeping their social up if you're striving to be an honor student...therefore, I just the cheat codes, just in case I want to participate in activity and have the other SIM stuff done too.

In addition, I believe in order to get the game to work properly, players should know to download the patch from the Sims2 website. I decided to install my game on my new computer and start fresh; therefore, I haven't had any issues with game play.

This game is great for you if you like to play The Sims 2. It gives challenges and scenarios, such as passing the semester or joining a Greek House. Your Sims can move into dormitories and stay with other Young Adult Sims, building (or breaking) relationships. They can choose their majors and study specific skills to raise their grades and hopefully pass the semester exams, research alone or in a group, and even write term papers to quickly boost their averages. The only problems, though, are that studying takes a long time and is a pain, and you only have about a week in Sim time for each semester. There are some sweet new items, and your Sim can influence people, do school cheers, dance around a gasoline drenched pile of flaming junk, and even go streaking. I would recommend this game to any who enjoy The Sims and are willing to overlook some of the content.

very worth your time. i spent the most time on this expansion pack out of all my other ones. nice to make lots more money once you get your college degree. many more career opportunities open up with an education (kind of like in real life?).

A whole lot of fun!

The Sims 2 University is defenitly worth the money you pay for it. It offers much more action and gameplay. The only thing wrong with it is probably the fact that it includes inappropriate behavior. If you can overlook that, you've got yourself a fun game.

What makes this game so cool, is the fact that it is deals with the everyday, normal issues teens face. For example, when my older sister failed her exam and overall just gave up and didn't study, she flunked the semester and had to redo it. In Sims 2 University, that is what happens if your Sims make that mistake.

I also like the fact that it is life changing for teen sims. When my sim "graduated" she had whole new life oppurtunities and worked her way up to the top of the business!

The Greek House is fun to. My Sim's mood was never down when he was enrolled there.

Sims 2 University is a great game to play. I enjoy it and play it for hours at a time.

Great expansion pack but it is time consuming

I am really glad I bought this and it adds a lot to the SIMS2 - it is neat to see children created in the neighborhood go one to college. It is more interesting that the nightlife expansion pack I bought earlier. Although college has lots of opportunities it gets dull after a while and it almost feels like you are slaving in college yourseld.

Great fun- more to come

University addition is great fun but remember you can select only one school for each neighborhood. THis is not clear in the beginning. Some limited new objects but great new school scenes. Try not to send too many sims to school at once. Learn to plan with just a few before having to handle the whole dorm at once. It's worth a try and great to integrate the school with the regular neighborhoods. Hang in there, graduate, get a diploma for your wall and be far ahead when looking for that job.
