Don't buy it

The concept is wonderful but the EP is just to buggy. The Final exam bug has made the game unplayable and Maxis is not responsive.

I love the Sims. I have been playing Maxis games for almost 20 years since the first Sim City. They do not listen to their customers.

I will not be buying anymore Maxis games until a patch is made that addresses the fatal flaws in this EP.

Otherwise it was a hoot.

*********
The episode was fixed and it remains one of my favorites because the game play is a bit different. I love to send my students to college. It is a great way to add NP Sims into a Sim family. My Sims study hard and play hard and always graduate at the top of their class. Don't hesitate to buy this EP.

I now wait a full 6 months before buying a new exapnsion pack so that I do not end up with a game that hasn't been properly put together before it is released. I haven't had any problems with Night Life or Open for Business because of my new policy.

It's alright, but...

The game was okay gameplay wise, but it was Hell on my computer. It used so much memory between the expansion and the original The Sims 2, and pretty much screwed me over if I want to upload any more expansions. The game itself works pretty well, but it causes my computer to crash every few minutes, to the point where I have to save more often in fear of losing my hard-earned simoleons and grades.

The thing is; my computer didn't start crashing until after I got the game. Maybe twenty-five minutes into it, it froze up and I couldn't escape or ctrl-alt-del it. So, I had to reboot and restart.

I'm not sure if I'm the only one that has this problem, or if it's just my computer, but I'm pretty sure I got a defective game.

If you're a big fan of the series, I would deffinately recommend getting it. For those of you that didn't think it was so hot, you're not missing too much.

Three stars overall.

GREAT!!!

This game is great. Although it is very addicting it is great. I play it all of the time and i never get bored of it. I still wouldn't recommend this to kids about 11 or under. Some of the features on this game are not approprate for kids that aren't old enough. I would though recommend this game to everyone older than 11!! If you don't like video games, like me, this is Great. I would recommened this game to everyone over the age of 11! THIS GAME IS GREAT!!!

Totally Rockin!

I know I should have posted earlier, but for the past 2 days I have been holed up in my room playing this game, except when I have to go to school. I REALLY like this expansion, although i think I wouldn't have liked it as much if it hadn't been for the help of a fellow Simmer, MAYNSH1 (she posted a sort of tutorial to Uni on thesims2.com). Aaanyway, one of my favorite parts of the game is being able to join a sorority or secret society. I also like the new age group, and new items (once I get Nightlife, I am SO resurrecting Bella with the tombstone of L & D and the Resurrect-O-Nomitron!) and the new social interactions. Anyway, um, that's it.

~+~Burnt Zoe and the Toasters~+~ FOR LIFE!!!

Whee! It's a reed!- Sax player's joke

I love the sims 2! I enjoy the yound adult stage that comes only with University. I also love the chance for them expand their skills and have more friends. The instruments are a must have as well. The new creature is a zombie. There are also new careers, I use them more than the others.

A whole new stage of life!

The university pack brings to life the fun of university. It is up to you to make your Sims study or party their years away. I loved the new items and universities. However I do find that it can drag growing up to an adult out a bit. But I accept that for the added game play and new items etc. I would recommend this as a good addition to any Sims game.

Wish I could play it...

So far I am very disappointed. For me, the game was not playable out of the box. I could not enter houses, nor enter lots in the University. I contacted EA to get Tech Support, and got an email back that my graphics drivers needed updated. After a 5 hour download, the game still does not work. I found it hard to believe that my graphics drivers were the problem anyway, because the orginal Sims 2 works perfectly.

Make sure you back up your orginal files! After hours of downloading things and raising my families, I would have been heart-broken to have lost everything.

Even though I haven't been able to play the game yet and give a review of it, I felt compelled to advise: "This could happen to you." If I ever get a chance to play it, I'll consider writing a review around my actual game-play experiences.

The Worst of all the EPs

First of all, I am a teen, not a kid, I just am using my mom's name on here. :-D
Second of all, This game is SO boring!!!
-You go to collage with only a little money (Unless you use motherlode).
-It takes FOREVER to graduate.
-You have to make your sims study all the time and they don't have much time for a social life.
-You have limmited amount of cool clothes and you can get engaged in the game, but not married.
-This game also messes up your settings when loaded.
-It is super hard to get into a sorority house or be a greek.
I did not like this game at all and regret buying it. And I know good sim games, I have been playing scince The orignal Sim day 1, and I intend to keep on playing with Sims 2! Here is my recomendation to you guys: Get the Nightlife EP or the Open For Buisness instead. They are much, much more fun!!!

At first Boring..But Grows on You

At first my review of the game was a little on the negative. But Actually after playing the game for awhile i kind of like it. Its really a good expansion because its a whole nother game. Its like you got a second game. Uni is an entire different type of gameplay and it takes you out of the Regular Sims everyday stuff that gets redundant if you been playing it for five years. Its fun..But when my sims start studying i get a little bored..Its a challenge though..It truly adds a whole new strategy dimension to the game..I 'd say buy it..

Eh......

This game was fun at first, but then slowly got worse and worse and worse.I thought the college was a neat idea, and i loved the dorms (except you cant build your own!!!) and the game had the right intentions, but really it was bad. It got soooo boring to do homework and write a paper. thats all you do to earn grades. I would not recrommend buying this game!
