ANIMAL CROSSING IS THU GAME!

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 0 / 0
Date: October 12, 2002
Author: Amazon User

I haven't bought this game but I did play it at my friends house and I have to say this is one of the best games ever, disregard the wierd commercial!!!

Anyways I am going to keep this short so I don't bore you...

Major Pros and Cons-

Pro-Start your own town, get new people to move in, and visit your friends town by inserting there memory card.
Con-The town is randomly generated, and sometimes you will get a bad set up town with everything far apart, and when you visit a friends town, one person will move away from your town and go to your friends town, of course if you don't mind trading nieghbors you can always take turns going to each other towns to keep the number even...

Pro- Design your own cloths!
Con- The design you make for your shirt will also be the design for the hat and ect. meaning if you put a belt on your shirt, your hat will have a belt on it too LOL.

Those are two major aspects of the game the rest is your basic sims game, I look forward to a sequel to this creative game!

Somebody stop me!!!

A detailed description of this game has already been given in many of the other reviews here. The one thing I find to be lacking, however, is an accurate conveyance of just how INSANELY ADDICTING this game is! Honestly...I've been playing it nearly non-stop since I bought it. I've sacrificed countless hours of sleep for this game. It has totally consumed me. :P I'm sure most of you will find this review to be completely unhelpful, but for those of you who have a tendancy to let games get in the way of the rest of your life...BEWARE! Great, great game.

THIS IS MY NEW FAV VIDEO GAME!

ANIMAL CROSSING IS [ADDICTIVE] ...

Warning, if you don't want to spend mindless hours in front of your TV set do NOT buy this game! This game is so addictive that my girlfriend actually bought herself a GameCube for this game. Animal Crossing will have gamers and non-gamers a like in awe in it's simple yet addictive gameplay. You almost get the feeling that people who play this game share a bond. You'll hear people talking about a new fish they caught or a new piece of furniture they received as a gift for delievering somebody's outfit for them...and at first you'll think they're crazy. You'll think they're crazy, that is, until you play it yourself. Forget the simple graphics and childish look, this is a must own title!

A Whole New World

This game is unlike any other. If you consider it, it might not be a game. It's more like living a second life. Haven't you ever wanted the coolest pad around? It's yours. How about a wild bunch of friends?. You got 'em. In Animal Crossing, you get to express yourself in so many ways, that no two people who start up Animal Crossing for the first time visit the same villlage. The game actually tailors a town just for. And that's not all. To find out what other surprises are in store for you, you're going to have to buy the game. Go on, you can do it.

Crossing fun with work

Animal Crossing has that blend of fun and work that has made other games so successful such as The Sims. You start off in a new village which you get to name and 1000 bell (the native currency). You're on a train heading to that new village when you start a conversaion with one of the animals. They then call a friend so they can get some housing for you...well a shed for you! You then being Tom Nooks slave tring to work off the debt for the house and that is only the first day of Animal Crossing. I suggest, no, I demand you buy this game now ;)

Rented this game at Blockbuster for a week, and I can't stop playing it. It's really addictive, and the real time clock means it's more a game you'll play a little each day vs. sitting down for hours at a time. When I first saw a flier for this game (in the case for Super Mario Sunshine), I thought it looked like a really horrible game, but, now I'm pre-ordering it so that I can have my copy as soon as it comes back-- which still means 6 days without playing! I don't know if I'll make it...

In this game, you have a little person acting as you. You get to name you person, and name the town you live in. There's a store you can go to and shop at. The owner's name is Tom Nook. He will build you a house and then you have to pay him with bells. Bells are like money in Animal Crossing. After you pay of you debt at the post office, go to Nook's store. He will then make your house bigger, and you have to pay again! There is a police station that tells you what's going on around town. They also have a lost and found. You can take whatever you want. There's a walrus named Wendal who draws you beutiful wallpaper if you give him a fish. There's a carpet trader named Saharra. If you give her one of your carpets, she'll give you one of hers. There's also a fox called Crazy Redd who has unique furniture for sale. On the beach you may see a pelican laying down with a hurt spot on his head. Talk to him until he stands up. He'll give you a piece furniture for saving his life. Other attractions you'll want to go to include the Tailor Shop where you can design your own clothes, visiting the mayor, Tortimor, the fortune teller, Katrina whose fortunes really come true, and the muesem where you can donate fish you catch, bugs you catch, paintings you buy and fossils you find. Don't forget to sell stuff to Tom Nook, you'll get more bells! And remember to buy a shovel, fishing pole, and net.

Rented this game first, and didn't want to give it back, but, after keeping it for an extra 2 weeks, I decided to go and buy it! And still love it! Play it over and over, after we finish we just start a new game!
