Amazing Animal Crossing

Animal Crossing is an amazing game for me. It is easy for those that have a short attention span and is fun to play. If you like games where you are the designer, this is a game for you. You can design your own house with furnishings and extras, and there are different outfits that you, as your character can choose to wear. You can make friends and have actual friends come to see your town (maximum of 3 friends). Some other games might be more enticing for others, but for those people that like "real life" games, this is the one. It has very cute graphics, and the animal language is a fun, shrill sound! All in all, Animal Crossing is a fun game for younger people and it is VERY COOL!!!!!!!!!

The Sims meets Pikmin!

If you think this game is basically a simpler version of The Sims or Pikmin made for younger kids, then... well... then you're pretty much right! As a kid reviewing this, I was very satistfied with Animal Crossing. It's crazy missions and unique gaming stlye is perfect for any Sims fan with a desire to do more... In Animal Crossing, with cutting-edge graphics and vivid coloring, you can't help but be addicted. With 'bells' the game currency, used to buy furniture and such, hilarious characters and sound effects, wonderful set-up, and challenging objectives, Animal Crossing is the perfect game for anybody. But mostly kids.

5 Stars!

Animal Crossings: Better than humans

I hate GameCube, but I love Animal Crossings. This game NEVER gets boring. Im sure most of you know the game play, but for those who don't here's a quick run down on what the game is about. You are a human moving to a town that is owned, and occupied by none other than, animals. As soon as you get there you have to buy a house, which is owned by your friend, the raccoon. To pay off your debt you do odd jobs for the community members, catch and sell fish, harvest food and sell items. Every time you pay off your debt, Tom Nook (Racoon) builds onto your house, when you pay off your final debt he makes a statue in your honor. This game is great, not only do you do jobs and hunt, but you can also buy things to make your house better, beds, chairs, radios, stereos, statues, tables pretty much anything, plus you can buy mini NES games and play them, like Tennis and PunchOut. Not only that you meet up with a dog every saturday and he'll sing you a cool tune that you can save and play on your radio/stereo anytime, and its all techno! I highly, highly advise you to buy this game, you'll never want to put it down.

Animal Crossing

If you like playing video games for only 15 minutes this isn`t the right game. Once you start playing you can`t stop! Also, if your not into games like real life it isn`t your game. The story is like this: you don`t have enough money to buy a house so you have to work. Then you have to pay off your det on your own but as soon as you pay off your det for your 2 stoey home you get a monument in front of the train station. You earn money by catching fish and bugs, collecting shlls and fruit, and finally doing chores for the villagers. You are trying to do all this while still furnishing your home. But even the meanest animals will sometimes help you out by giving free things to you without you having to do anything in return. This is a great game though after your done working for Tom Nook (the shop owner).

i thought this game would stink but then i saw the different things you could do and the weird looking characters were really awsome i think that if you like goofy, crazy,& adventure games you will like it
the only problem is that if you are all by yourself and your playing that it will get very boring fast

A game for all genders, races, skills, and ages

My favorite games of this generation are Animal Crossing and Grand Theft Auto. Go figure. This one happens to be more charming and appeals to just about everyone. The emotional attachment you develop with your town provides a totally unique and addicting experience- you'll always check in, just to see if anything new is happening. New events are posted on animal-crossing.com every month. I've played this game more than any other in my ten years of gaming. No exaggeration.

But if you don't have any close friends to move in with you (or buy a copy for themselves), then you'll be missing out on a big part of the game. In that case, you would do well to check out message boards commited to the game where you can discuss and trade items. Yes, I said TRADE. I'm not going to go into specifics now, but lets just say it involves super long codes.

In terms of presentation, the graphics are a total embaressment (this was originally an N64 game), but you'll get used to them. The sound, surprisingly, is the defining aspect. Every Saturday night you can collect one of 50+ well-produced songs that are both "sung" and synthesised. When its not Saturday, you can spend your time creating jingles for the town and listening to that chill-out background music.

Animal Crossing is a modern marvel. A relaxing, yet engaging game that has suceded far beyond all others in the "life sim" genre. An experience that no one can refuse.

Truly a masterpiece...If you know how to play it

Many other reviewers who have given bad reviews have stated that they played for several hours, then got bored. Animal Crossing was not meant to be played for that long straight. It is a good 20 minute relaxer, or a way to take a break from a different game. To keep things fresh, new, and exciting, it is best to just check up on the town every day or two. Maybe you could do some chores and get furniture or new clothes. Maybe you want to do a little fishing and make a few bells. Maybe you just want to see what new stuff Tom Nook has in his store. As long as you don't overplay it, this game will be a great investment and will last you for a long time.

This has to be one of the best video games in the world, when you first buy it "new" meet K.K. Slider, a guitar strumming dog, who greets you into the world of Animal Crossing. After talking for a bit, you hop on the train and meet Rover, a curious cat who asks questions about the time and you. Depending on your answers, you get a guy or girl! After all is said and done, you must pay your debt off to Tom. After you pay your debt off, wait for the mail, you get a grab bag with 2 NES games and a special extra. After that, you go about the town, chatting with friends, digging for cool stuff, things like that! This is a really good game for anyone, so pick it up if you own a Nintendo GAMECUBE!
