This was the first game I ever played on my gamecube because I got the game and the gamecube for christmas '02. I mgiht have been amazed by this game becuase it was the first game I playd but none the less I was amazed. I loved all the animals and found it fun to visit Nook's store and buy new items. Shortly after palying the game I bought the strategy guide, not because it's a hard game only becuase I loved the game and I wanted to know everything about it! The strategy guide was great becuase in the back it had a checklist where you could check off what items you had. I loved getting new stationary too! My friends also purchased the game and it was fun to visit their cities. Each animal had their own personality and I found it to be truly creative. The reason why this is all in past tense is I went through a time in my life where I felt I was too old for this game and didn't play it much so I sold it to Hollywood Video. Now I wish I had heald onto it! It was truly a classic game all gamecube owners should play. I loved how the animals celebrated holidays and although it was sad to lose the neighbors you had grown close to, it was also fun to meet new neighbors! I still have the free memory card it came with! I found that very useful! Try and buy this game it's funny!

Welcome to your new world! You will learn a lot about life from this game while having fun. I know more about fish and bugs than I ever thought I would care to know! But there are also lessons in relationship building and finance management on a junior scale. There are so many facets to this game it is hard to describe in a short review, but it is well worth the money! It is like a junior Sims game, but possibly better. The personalities and reactions of others are unpredictable and weird at times -- just like the real world! There is a lot to discover in this world and it helps to have a guide book, but you can feel guilty when you don't have time to play. I mean, how can you neglect your friends, home and village? There is a price to pay if you do so for too long! I bought this game for my 2 sons and they roped me into it, so I have played along with them for the past 6 months. There are seasonal events that I find myself looking forward too! I just wish that more than 1 player could play at a time...I'm hoping they will have a new release soon, to add more of the same -- that's how good it is!

I really liked this game. The idea of time in the game the same as your own was darn cool. The only problem is that the game can take over you life. I rented the game and fell totally behind on my schoolwork. So if you have a busy life(or just a life at all) I wouldn't recommend this game. But it is still very cool

this is a waonderful game. its almost like real life. u first start out ur in a train and talking to a cat or something. then when u get out a guy named tom nook talks to u and u pick out a house to live in. u end up working 4 him and he gives u money. u use that money to pay off ur debt. u meet a lot of people(animals) and perform "favors" for them like delivering something to another animal. dont worry u get rewarded with money or furniture or some other supplies. basicly THIS IS A GOOD GAME!!

This game is extremely addiciting and doesn't get boring. The sound is amazing, and although the graphics may not be top notch - it fits the style of this amesome game. Even though it might look stupid, let me tell you, it is NOT stupid. Buy this game!

People think this is a kiddie game just because of its graphics. I got news for you its NOT a

kiddie game. You are a person and everyone else are animals. People move in to your town and people move out. Who needs the details? take it from a pro. You got the money......... BUY THE GAME!

There is a reason I love this game because it never ends, and I always sad when a good RPG ends because I want to see more of it, but this game will always keep you occupied and maybe a bit too occupied, but let me just say, this game is a challenge to everybody and there is always something to do.

I am a diehard gamer. When I first heard about a real-time, fully customizable game, I had to buy it! I even bought a secon mem. card for a second town of mine. The hard part is making money. What some people call leisure, I call work! Other than that it is the bomb!!!

This game is so much fun! You get to make your own house and gradually get a bigger and bigger one. There is so much furniture in the game that it would take a lifetime to collect it all. you get to make your town a better place and the store in your town will get bigger. And every town is different, each with a different fruit. Get this game i have had it for over a year and still not tired of it.

This is one of the best games I have ever played. I love everything about it. It's so real. Thumbs up to the makers on this one.
