If you are absolutely sure you will not get bored of banging on drums, strummming guitars
Where this game really comes into it's multiplayer. Don't buy this game to play only 1 instrument at a time, it's a party game best played with 3 (or 4 with an extra guitar) playing together.
Other than that, the game has had a really bad history with failing peripherals (mainly just the guitar). We bought 3 at the same time and they all had a batch date sticker (October 2007 I think), a yellow sticker on the outside directing customers to ea's warranty support. In addition, there was also a pink instruction sheet with some more advice on warranty claims; all of this making me think they've made some improvements to the controls.
Great family fun!

We play this frequently as a family. It was a wonderful way for me to introduce the kids to "real" music. Had an issue with the original guitar but EA replaced it quickly. There are some slight language issues for younger kids. I would highly recommend this game.

Some people might think this game is stupid. But its really lots of fun. Specially if you want to hang out at your place with a bunch of buddies. Me and my wife enjoy playing together. It's very good for entertainment.

This game was fun but the foot pedal on the drum set broke not so long after i bought It. The guitar is also not that great. To hard to strum compared to the guitar hero controllers. Recomend Guitar hero over this any day!
Great Fun

This game could be the only game you ever need, if all you want is to have fun with your friends. I'm no hard core gamer, as the last system I had was a Super Nintendo, but this game combined with a PS3 is the most fun I've ever had playing video games. I had played Guitar Hero at a friend's place, and was impressed. The idea of adding drums was exciting, but I never thought that the singing would be any fun. I was wrong. All three "instruments" are great fun, especially when you add some friends to the mix. The songs, combined with the ones available for purchase, are great. The guitar reportedly works with Guitar Hero III, but the GH3 guitar doesn't work with Rock Band, so if you think you might want both games, then get Rock Band first, so then all you have to do is buy GH3 without a guitar, which is cheaper. I can't wait until sequels come out... I mean, nobody knows what the future holds... possibly an actual cowbell? A talk box? Keyboard?
Technically, the game is right on, making good use of the 5.1 Dolby Digital and 1080p capabilities of the PS3. I wouldn't want to play it with lower resolution, as when you have a guitar, drums, bass, and singer, the video can get crowded.
Worth every penny!

I was hesitant to buy Rock Band, because my son and daughter had not really played much with the Guitar Hero system I purchased for them. But I took the plunge anyway when I saw how much my niece and nephew enjoyed their Rock Band system. My son now plays with it almost constantly, and all of his friends play with it when they come over, too. He now wants to learn how to play guitar! This game was worth every penny!
Way fun!

I bought this for my 17-year-old son for his birthday. It took him and his friends about 20 minutes to get it connected, and it works perfectly. He has had a blast playing it with his friends, and our family has requested that we bring it to the beach for vacation. Our one criticism is the cables. We sure wish that the instruments were wireless...but it didn't ruin the fun. Again, Amazon had the best price around.
better finds else where

The product has an hand fun of problems. I received this product and found a broken foot pedal, like i wouldn't notice. the guitar is glitched. The only item that worked just fine was the mic, but it isn't really good to begin with. If you decide to purchase this game i say go some place like walmart or a gamestop/crazy and get the warranty. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GUY/GAL!!!!!!!

I ordered RockBand,I personally thought it was awesome:It comes with hard core drums,a detailed and cordless RockBand guitar, and a "mic".You get to customize and create musicians and have your own crazy BAND!It comes with a variety of songs such as:Sabotage,When You Were Young, and many more!Plus, you can buy and then download songs from "The Shop",instead of only having a limited amount of songs. One more thing you get to tour the world!Well all i have to say now is that if you do not agree with me,read other reviews.

This evil game is addictive! Bought this from Amazon back in May when they had a great price on it, and just stopped playing long enough here at the end of July to warn you all away from buying this game! Don't do it, you won't want to go outside, or to work or school, for months! Between me downloading additional songs one after the other, my wife changing outfits on her character every few minutes, and my son insisting on completing 'world tours' with his guitar character... and bass character... and drummer... and singer... on every level of difficulty, we're not even sure what day of the week it is! Please, save yourself this pain, buy Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire for PS3 instead, you'll play for 2 minutes and never look at it again -- think of all the current events you'll know about instead!
