I just wanted to say that this game is really cool. Especially when you can do the slow-mo mode with the cheat so you can get more points. I played this with my brother and I thought it was really cool. I thought the soundtrack was good, too. So if you want a game that can occupy your time when you have nothing to do, get this, now! If you don't...you'll regret it...

An excellent follow up!

An incredible game! THPS 3 totally blows away all of the other skating games. Excellent large stages. As good, if not better, than THPS 1&2.

Im a man of a few words, so let me put it to you this way.....Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 is the best skateboarding game of all time, 1 of the best PS2 games out there....the bad thing about the game is that is too short.....but hey you could play it ONLINE!

This is the greatest Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 yet for Playstation two. You can create your own skater choosing from male,female,adult,and kid. It even has a tutioral to help you learn some of the new tricks on THPS 3 that they don't have for THPS 1 and THPS 2. If you like skateboarding games this is the game to get. Don't spend your money on the X-games skateboarding. The graffics are terrible. This game has the best graffics availible. So get this game if you like skateboarding and very good games. I will keep you updated when THPS 4 comes out cause my dad works for that company. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR NEW GAME!!!

Wow, this is definitely a great game, but to me it still needs some improvement. The gameplay to me is too fast, and the levels are still just as big as they were in tony hawk 1 and 2. Why cant the levels be just as big as they are in Dave Mirra's Freestyle BMX 2. Those are the only things that disappoint me. Other than that the tricks are really cool and everything else you would expect from Tony Hawk(except what I said earlier).

Even if you're not a skateboarding fan, BUY THIS GAME!!!

I am not a fan of skateboarding. I don't like kids skating all over town, all over buildings and stairs and curbs. I don't like the clothing they wear either. But I do LOVE this game!!! I've never played the other Tony Hawk games but I got this because there weren't many Gamecube releases and people were saying that this was the best of the series. When I popped it in the tray and started playing my disappointment level was high because there were so many controls. For the higher scoring tricks you had to do a series of combinations that aren't easy for a skateboarding neophite. But after 30 minutes of practice, I was stringing combos and completing every goal I could on each level. The game is difficult at times but it's definitely fair. The load time is instantaneous, which is critical when playing a game like this because when you're out to score as many points as possible in a two minute span and you're having a bad run, the last thing you want to do is restart the level and wait a minute before playing resumes. The graphics are superb and the audio and gameplay are fantastic. The one complaint is that the Gamecube controller is difficult to use effectively with this game. But if you like the Tony Hawk series, snowboarding/skateboarding/surfing video games, or are looking for a fun game with great replay value, then this is the game for you. Take my advice: BUY THIS GAME. You will not be sorry.

Rent It Before You Buy It

This game is very similar to the first two games in the tony hawk series. However, i found that this game lacked some seriously needed things. for example there is no gaps checklist in this game. I thought that that was a very cool feature in tony hawk 2 which added more life to the game, but for some reason they did not include that into the game. they also changed the cheats section. instead of getting a new cheat everytime you beat it with another character, like in THPS2, you have to enter codes to get cheats instead. I found that the games combos get way too unrealistic. while the other 2 THPS were fairly unrealistic, the combos needed to get the high scores in THPS3 are just rediculous.
Overal I thought this game was okay, it has some promise(it's better than the first one but not as good as the second). i have not yet been able to take advantage of the online gameplay, hopefully that will be cool. unless you are a diehard tony hawk's pro skater fan,like me, I recomend you rent it first. there's no way you can beat the whole game in 5 days, unless you play it all day. make sure it lives up to your standards and all the "hype". so if you like it buy it. if it turns out to be a disapointmet and you don't like it enough to buy it, you just saved yourself (...). =) the end

Wow! I didn't think this game could be that much better than THPS 2. Of course the graphics are amazing and the game has a great new soundtrack.

Character Customization - The character customization is so good I was able to make Lara Croft from Tomb Raider. You can choose different faces, change weight and height, change clothes and choose ANY color for any of these. You can also change the hair style, skin color, add tatoos, bracelets, watches, sunglasses, glasses, shoes and socks. You won't be dissapointed with this at all.

Park Editor - I was a little dissapointed with this, but in many ways it's alot better than the Park Editor in THPS 2. Lots of new objects. The 3 Map themes include School, Beach and Indoor. I wish they would have made more themes but oh well. You can place objects high up or low and not have to use risers. You can also fit a lot more in the space provided. You aren't able to make the parks any bigger than in THPS 2; 30 x 30 is the biggest.

Career Mode - This is the most fun part of the game. Instead of collecting money to buy tricks and stats, you start out with all the tricks, including specials. You can collect 5 stat point in each level to raise your stats. Playing career mode with different characters varies a little. The letters S-K-A-T-E are placed in different places, the stat points are placed in different locations, and one of the goals that requires you to do a certain trick at a certain spot changes. This REALLY adds replay value to the game. I found myself playing career mode with different characters ALL day. When you get all gold medals with a character, you unlock a skate video, whether it be a behind the scenes video or a video of the pro skaters skating or bails. If you get 100% of all the goals, you unlock a secret character or secret level. There are some really cool characters like Darth Maul, Wolverine and Ollie the Magic Bum.

Multiplayer - The broadband adapter isn't out yet, but when it is, this will be just an added bonus to how fun the game is.

If you liked Tony Hawk's Pro Skater or Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, DEFINITELY get this game!

This game rules, it is better than thefirst two. this game has more people, plces, and you can play on-line aginst your friends. I love this game.BUy it. If you like skateboardin, then you should buy this great game.
