This game is a ton of fun. I suggest either getting it instead of Saphire, or visa-versa. I say this because playing one after beating the other feels kind of strange because your enemy team swicthes. I think it is the opposite of educational because before I started playing it I was helping around the house and now I am making my mom get me a lollipop while I struggle to catch Raquazza.

Just when you thought Nintendo was done with making Pokemon Games they introduced Ruby.In the game you can trade wirelessly with the Game Link Cable,or trade with characters in the game.
Whats so fun is that you can capture as many pokemon as you possibly want(what every pokemon game is about).You can also get a "POKENAV".The PokeNav is a huge success that takes over The PokeDex.It includes Trainers Eyes(trainers throughout the games strategies)ribbons you recieve,and a Map Of Heonn.Please Buy THIS GAME!

Personally, I have no clue about this game. But if you are a childless aunt who is looking to buy a gift for a 9-year-old nephew, this definitely worked for me. This was such a hit that in the mail I received a "self portrait" of my nephew playing Ruby Pokemon on his Gameboy that says "Auntie Teresa Rocks!" Apparently, he loves this game so much that he is willing to entertain his younger sister in exchange for 15-minute increments of Gameboy time. Definitely a winner for our family!

This pokemon game takes place in the Hoenn region and in that region only.In this game your starters are treeco(It is the best Grass starter pokemon in all the regions so far but not the best starter),torchic OR mudkip.
You will have to surf alot because almost half of the region is covered in water & in some places there is curents!to get 200 pokemon you have to trade with sapphire version(wich is about 10 pokemon you need to trade that cant be found in Ruby and that are in sapphire)(some pokemon are only found in ruby).to get all 386 pokemon you have to trade with LEAF GREEN AND FIRE RED AND POKEMON COLLUSEUM(or whatever it is spelled lol).
Feutures:!
1.berries:!
There are about 30 kinds of berries you have to pick them off the berry trees and if you plant a berry in that 2 berries that you picked space the 1 berry will eventully be 2 berries and you have more.
What berrys do:
Some berries do stuff like heal you pokemon from sleep poisand confusion etc. and some might heal your pokemon a little and some are used for making pokeblocks...
Pokeblocks:you have to crush berries with a game dude and you will have a pokeblock wich you can use for contest wich make a certain pokemon better at a certain contest...
Contest (lol):!
In this region there isn something called pokmon contest!Each move the pokemon learns is eather a tough move beuty move cool move smart move(I think there MIGHT be another one but I'm not sure).If you feed your pokemon a certain pokeblock it will increase the pokemon's beuty cool smart ....etc.moves.You have a choice to enter the beuty contest cool contest smart contest tough contest and........ya.On each pokEcontest each move has a certain efect.each move gives a certain muber of stars to the pokemon & after 5 rounds of contest the stars (points or hearts) are added up and the pokeon with the most wins!yay!and they get a ribbon.There are game character that you can to contest with or youn can link up and trade with a friend.
double battles:!
2 trainers that are standing by eachother might be to seperate trainers but in the same batle.They're on a team against You.Because of that you can use to pokemon in 1 round.
battle em again!
after a while you can battle a trainer you have already battled befor and the trainer will be stronger!

in water the spot might be dark blue water you can use dive and go under the sea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For me old rod is easy and good rod is hard and super rod is super hard.Well you see they chaged the way of fishing.when the screen says Oh my gosh you have a bite! you have to press A really fast.and if you dont bye bye...you may not have a bite at all.
i recomened bying ruby instead of sapphire cuz there are a tiny bet better pokemon but no big deal.
You should use a guide too.It'll help.

Pokemon:Ruby is great. While you can only catch some Pokemon and you can't travel to Kanto and Johto, it's still fun. One really good thing is for each game you can capture some different legendary guys. I really miss trading with the old versions though. I was gonna trade helpful guys to my game. But overall it's good.

The minute I got this game I loved it even though Im a girl who is a little weird, I still think if girls tryed it they would like it. Right now I have a leval 79 pokeman and my brother hasa leval 100 but Im still good.

I love this game! With new Pokemon, contests to win, 2-on-2 battles to fight, Pokeblocks to make and the Elite 4 to beat, the quest to become Pokemon Master never been so much fun!

the game is pretty good, but terribly hard to beat. even with the gaming guide, it's very hard. the instructions are very complicated. it took my siser, whos 13 and 3 years older than me, 1 year to pass the game. by the time you get to 4 cities, your stuck in those cities untill you get a pokemon with cut, or surf, witch are very hard to get. it's been 2 years, and i am still stuck in the same 4 cities. only get this game for kids who are game freaks like my cousin will, or kids who would like to be dissapointed at the fact that 2 years has passed and still no ending credits. it has been the exact same for the other purchased pokemon games, all the same with new pokemon, people and cities. it is only fun when you: enter pokemon contests,get to one of 4 cities, or finnaly get to the 5th citie after 3 years,witch i have not succeded in doing so. fun but hard game.

wow pokemon games are the best bout the one that rely make you feel in an other world is pokemon ruby because it has the best grafics,best pokemon,and the best entertaiment of all the pokemon games so give it a try you will play it for ever.
