Great GBA game, but what about my charmander? ;<

This is probably one of the best games for the gba that is currently out. despite popular shunning of pokemon being 'childish' or whatever, get past it and pick it up. I am 15 and this game still adicts me. the quest to collect all 200 of the little monsters dosent let go of you, and watching your weak looking chick eventualy turn in to a 2 legged, kung-fu fire bird is pretty cool

Only reason this diddnt get 5 stars is the absolute lack of storyline. well, not lack, more like the SAME exact thing as in evry other pokemon game. beat the gym leaders, smash a few team rocket (excuse me, team 'magma/aqua') goonies and become a 'pokemon master' blah blah blah blah... and i spose theres nothing completly wrong with that but Imagine how cool this would be if they included some sort of final fantasy type storyline in this game.

All and all, a good game, with gameplay length thats about 3 times as much as most gba games. 2 on 2 battles and the improved graphics make games alot of fun, but your not allowed to trade with any past versions. that leaves out my all time favroute, the charmander evolution and all my dragon guys, why nintendo? why?

What are we waiting for? Treasure or Junk?

Okay, I heard about this in September 2002 but there was little info. I've been checking up on many sites and it just seems to get better. It arrived in Japan November 21, 2002 and Ruby and Sapphire already got the best selling of the year in only a little over a month. The Pokedex should be really good and the graphics are much better from the screen shots that I have seen and the newer info has been very awesome. You can battle with two Pokemon at once or even team up with your friend. The main part of the game is to either beat team Magma or Team Aqua apart from being a Pokemon Master. Team Magma is after all the legendary Fire types and Team Aqua is after all the legendary Water types and it's up to you to stop them. You can make your own fort and trade with others. Apparantly Kanto and Johto are non-exsistant in this game. But there will be 386 Pokemon from what I heard. So literally I can't wait. We must be waiting for a treasure, surely not junk.

Pokemon is for all ages, not just for kids. You need to beable read well for this game and figuring out battle strategies isn't exactly for small kids to figure out easily. Education is also provided through this, when I played for the first time when I was 11 I didn't know that water conducted electricity, this game taught me that. So if you're here to diss the game you'll have to live through my Hydro Pump attack. Pokemon isn't stupid and maybe you should actually try it before you judge it.

In 1000 words,here is some upcoming information about Pokemon Ruby:
POkemon Ruby came out to Japan November 21,2002 along with Pokemon Sapphire.You have tons a of new cool uses for berries,and get to explore a new land called Hoen.The pokemon on the cover(Which I personally think is so cool) is called Groudon,which is the rarest and the strongest wild pokemon there is.Now,tell me who is bored of Team Rocket?Well,if you are,youll be happy to know that they have been replaced with Team Magma(Team Aqua in Sapphire).Team Magma is after all the Legendary Pokemon,while Aqua is after Water Legendaries.You can play,like in Crystal,as a girl or boy.There will be more than 100 new pokemon,and so far I have found 21 names of the new pokemon,like Skitty,Kecleon and Azurill.Now,here are some things I found interesting about this game: 1.You can have your own little place where you can hang,feed and play with your pokemon. 2.You can now battle with 2 pokemon at the same time. 3. You can save up to 3 games on a Some bad points are:1.You can no longer go to Johto,Orange Islands or Kanto. 2.It doesnt come out until March 19,2003 in America. 3.You have to cheat get some pokemon.The point of the game is to try and beat Gym Leaders,the Elite Four and the Champion.We also got 2 new trainers.Their names are Landon and Terra.(Sean and Marina in Sapphire Version).Here are some cool tips:1. Early in the game,catch lots of Zigzagon.Later in the game,their special power can get you lots of items. 2.Relpant berries so your Berry Pocket will never get empty.Hope this information is useful to you,otherwise Iv waisted my time!

Okay, I know a lot of people diss Pokemon. Well here is some advice for you. First, if you hate it so much then why are you getting on everybody's back about it. What I really think is that you do like it but don't want to admit it and you only say you hate it because you think your friends won't hang out with you any more. Well the fact is they probably like it to but they're afraid of the same thing. Well either way Pokemon Ruby is going to be the best Pokemon game ever made until or if they make any more. And those who diss Pokemon will probably take the chance of new games . Well I hope this message gets through to those who diss Pokemon.

I know it's a bit late but I'm here to tell you (in 1,000) words about Pokemon Ruby. Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire will have 135 new Pokemon! Instead on the usual 100 new. You can do 2 on 2 battles which will make the game a little more interesting. NO MORE TEAM ROCKET!!!! Yay! Boo! Now there are two more teams, Magma and Aqua. Team Magma (which u battle in Ruby only) wants Groudon while Team Aqua (which u battle in Sapphire only) wants Kyogre. Instead of there only being 5 or 6 legendary Pokemon, there are 8 legendaries! To take over the 3 birds and dogs there are minerals. Rejiice: Ice Type, Rejisteel: Steel Type, and Rejirock: Rock type. Mew and Celebi are taken over by Jiraachi: Psy./Steel! Mewtwo says hello to Deoxys: Psy. type. Lugia and Ho-oh will be taken out by the two new birds, Latios: Psy./Flying, and Latias: Psy./Flying. Everyone give a warm welcome to Rekkuza! Rekkuza: Dragon/Flying. In both you have the choice of being a Boy or a girl. But they are different in each game. Here's some bummers: Mostly all of the Pokemon between Bulbasaur and Celebi, you cannot capture (without cheating). #2 You don't go to: Kanto, ORANGE ISLANDS (obviously), or Johto!

As far as I'm concerned, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire have been in the works for a very long time, but I have got to report the following pros and cons to you. Here they are folks:

Pros:

1. The backgrounds look impressive.

2. More badges and Pokemon to capture in your Poke balls, including the legendary robots like Greudon and Kyogre, and the legendary birds like Latios and Latias.

3. Up to 4 players can play.

Cons:

1. The 2-on-2 battle mode can throw you off course.

2. The characters look terrible.

3. You can't trade Pokemon between GBC and GBA, which means, you'll have to redo your whole team from scratch. Ouchichi!

4. The price is way off course.

5. Why would the whole Pokemon saga want to go on like this?

Even though the total number of Pokemon is 351, buying all of these accessories and mastering the rest of Pokemon will become an impossibility! Beware! You'll need 2 GBAs, Ruby+Sapphire, and a link cable to complete mission 3. Good luck!

Ruby version: The best pokemon game yet

Yeah, so what. Another Pokemon game. WRONG!!! Pokemon Ruby is so sweet. You can have a secret base, plant berries, and even dive underwater! When Ruby and Saphirre hit the shelves, I knew I had to have one of them. I picked Ruby because I love fire Pokemon, and the pokemon on the cover is Groudon and he is fire-type. The game has the same storyline. Just like the other games, you get a Pokemon from Profesor Oak [nowc Professor Birch] and have a battle with your rival, Brendan or May. You pick being a boy or a girl, and I recommend a boy because he runs slightly faster. You set out with you Pokemon and kick some butt. When you end up with a great Pokemon team you go and challenge the Elite Four and the champion. Unlike the other games, You don't battle your rival, just a friend named Steven. This time around, the Elite Four are slightly harder, but you'll beat 'em. Now its Pokedex time! The only way you can complete your Pokedex is to trade with Saphirre version. What about the master ball? Well, don't use it on any Pokemon except Rayquaza, not even Groudon. Who is Rayquaza? Rayquaza is a Pokemon that you can only get after you beat the Elite Four. To get him, go to Pacificlog Town and surf East. Look for openings at the top of the route. You need to have the Mach Bike to zip through the cracks in the floor. Rayquaza is extremely powerful, and at lvl. 70, he can easily take out a lvl. 60 in one hit, so take about 10 hyper potions and 20-25 Ultra Balls if you don't still have your Master Ball. Have about a lvl. 60 Pokemon that knows Ice Beam. Rayquaza is dragon-type, so he is weak against Ice. He will eventually use Rest, so that is your chance. Weaken him to red-zone health, and pelt him with Ultra Balls. He will probally break out of the first 5 Ultra Balls without even wiggling once in the Poke Ball. Don't give up! Hope this was helpful!

The new Game Boy Advance game, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire aren't just "small and 1 new feature" Pokemon games. They are totally new with new graphics and pokemon. I know this may be stupid to you but it was very helpful. Even though the original Pokemon site is in Japanese, they already sell the new cards, and games. This is a big step for Pokemon. You can probably check out my review of the Game Boy Advance SP Platinum, a whole new Game Boy which allows Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. A few features of the game I didn't like was that it would not be avaliable on Game Boy Color, which I currently own. Torchic, and Mudkip are a few names of some new Pokemon. Also a new Professor is expected. Plus 2 on 2 battles is an all new feature which everyone will like. So go on and buy this new game which is supposed to be released March 14-19. Electronic Botique will be offering it on March 14, and Amazon.com/Toys R Us will be soon offering this hit. ...

I love pokemon ruby version! i had it for only two weeks, and im already on my fifth badge. i keep going to the safari zone but i cant find a pikachu. i want one so bad. can to the people who are reading my review, write a review telling me where in safari zone i could get pikachu. if you have afossil dont take it to that fossil man. take it to devon corp. in rustboro. go to the floor with all the scientists. go to the scientist on the far right and give him your fossil he will reborn an ancient rare pokemon. My favorite pokemon in my pokemon party are blaziken and electrike. i named my electrike trikelec. it won a normal rank and super rank cute pokemon contest. i advise you to start with torchic because it evolves into combusken then into blaziken. i also advise you to get the mach bike. i love that i can switch bikes whenever i want. i also advise to get the secret base by cycling road. i would keep writing but my mon says i have to go to bed now. bye hope my review was helpful!!!

When I was about seven or maybe six years old, I was really into pokemon, all these years later and Pokemon Ruby has once again got me addicted to the 'Gotta Catch 'em all' slogan.

This game starts out with you (Boy/or Girl) going to Littleroot in a moving Van. All new pokemon, all new gym leaders, and all new plotline. Though it does share a similarity to the previous games, its still fun like you wouldn't believe.

PROS:

~30+ hours of gameplay and 50+ hours if you do intend to 'Catch'em all'
~All new pokemon
~Great graphics.
~New breeding, new two on two battles...ect....

CONS:
~Does get tedious after you beat the game, unless you head for BATTLE TOWER...
~Does not connect to older versions
