An RPG u gotta have!!!!!!!

This new RPG by Nintendo and Camelot is a must have. If u luv the Final Fantasy series, then you'll luv this! The graphics are great, the battle system is very unique, and the storyline is good enough to keep u wanna playing for hours! I subscribe to Nintendo Power magazine, so I get the 411 on all the new titles coming out for the GBA. And I gotta say, this is one RPG I'm gonna get my hands on as soon as it comes out! (HOPEFULLY) Anyway, the storyline revolves around a young boy named Isaac, who lives in the peaceful, quiet town of Vale. At least it SEEMS that way that is. The residents of Vale can all use a form of magic called Psynergy. They can also link magical creatures called Djinn to themselves, which grants their owners new and powerful types of Psynergy. This magic also allows them to conjure up the elements and use them in anyway possible. However, this is not where the true story lies. The true story lies within the tragedy that strikes Vale when a pair of evil schemers attempt to open the sacred Sol Sanctum temple, located on Mount Aleph. This activates the temple's defensive systems, which sends huge boulders crashing straight for the center of Vale! Isaac and his friend Garet do all they can to try to help save the town, but when their friend, Jenna, tells them that her brother, Felix, is stuck in the river, they all hurry to the town plaza to get help. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, the townsfolk are unable to save Felix, and as a result, Jenna's entire family and Isaac's father are swept down the river to their doom. Isaac and his friends then meet Saturos and Menardi, the pair responsible for the rockslide. They are defeated by the two, allowing them to make their getaway. Three years later, and all three of them have grown stronger, and now possess the ability to use Psynergy. This is when the journey really begins (I won't spoil anymore of the storyline for u, so just go and buy the game to discover the rest of the storyline.) But even though u know the beginning of the story, not even that is enough to satisfy the hunger of true RPG fans. All in all, this is an RPG u can't afford to pass up. That's all for now. C~ya!

I hope

Apoc's Insight

Overall, I'd say this game was pretty good. The only problems are minor ones; the stories take too long, and the movements of the characters are too slow.

This game, quite literally, is generally an exact duplicate of Final Fantasy for the PlayStation. The only difference is the story changes, name changes, and a few other things. But the entire system is the same as Final Fantasy: the dialogue system, the battle screen... If you're a major Final Fantasy fan, this game would be great for you, because it could just be called Final Fantasy (#): Golden Sun, and it's portable.

I, personally, have a slight disliking of the Final Fantasy series, although I don't know why. Despite all that, I would still recommend this addicting game filled with great graphics and a slow-paced action (people looking for a quick game to play every few minutes should not get this)

This is a great game. It is innovative, sleek, fun, and enjoyable to the average gamer. The spells and special abilities make it a challenging, yet fun game. And the multiplayer just makes you want to pump your guys to the fullest. The summoning ability is as sweet as it gets, but hasn't anyone ever seen that before. Or has anyone seen the plot of this, or whole basic idea of this game. It is a mix between final fantasy II and III. Every aspect of the game is somehow revolving around that of these two games. I looked farther into this and I saw something that was almost disturbing. In Final Fantasy III there is a special sword which you can get to help vanquish the enemy. This sword is called ragnarok. In Golden Sun there is a spell which you are able to cast which is called ragnarok. This spell when cast has a picture of a SWORD being cast upon the enemy. As I said before ragnarak is a sword in Final Fantasy III. Still this game is among the best graphics and quality out for the GBA console and has some pretty unique features. I would rate this a 5 except for the ingenuity of this game. I recomend this to any RPG fan or gamer looking for a good time.

Golden Sun A Great 1st Party Quality Nintendo RPG

This game was amazing. I finished it in 4 days, it had me hooked. The storyline is not too complicated, so anyone can understand it. The characters are well-developed. But the highlight of this game are the battle action scenes, when you summon spirits to fight the scenes look spectacular and make you feel like you're in the battle. You can see your characters fight clearly. This game blends everything almost perfectly, but it wouldnt get a perfect 10 if it was out of 10 stars. The reason? There are two main flaws. One, is the storyline. Although not too complicated, sometimes it seems really cheesy. The other flaw is the random battles. I felt that here the random battles were a little over the top, especially when you were trying to solve puzzles. All-in-All, this is a must buy for the GBA.

When I got the game I thought, "Oh, just another RPG." Well, I was way wrong! This game is totally cool!
Here's what I rate it: (1-5)
Gameplay-5
Music-5
Sound Effects-4.5
Graphics-5
Addictiveness-5.5
This game is so much fun you start playing at 8:00 AM and stop at noon! You play as Isaac, Ivan, Garet, and Mia. They are adepts of psynergy, a special power alowing you to summon attacks such as Earthquake, and Plasma, and Ice Horn. Adebts are those who master elemental attacks of a certain element. Isaac is an Earth adept and Garet is a fire adpet. You can also recieve small creatures known as Djinn. Djinn are creatures that control a certain element. When you attack with them then later on your next turn your can summon them to unleash a superior elemental attack!
If you want a good RPG get this game!!

I'm pretty new at the game, I don't even have a coppy yet, I had to borrow a friend's. I saw him playing and thought it looked cool so I asked if I could borrow it, I was totally hooked, I even bought a gameboyadvance so that I Could play it. The graphics are amazing, it's like being at the movies. I couldn't believe it, I was zapped into another world, full of magic and mystery. I havn't said much about the gameplay, the theme isn't too original, but the game itselfs is addictive, you'll only stop playing to change the batteries and sleep. I give golden sun two thumbs up(I would give more but that's all I have)and all the stars that can fit on a chart

Hope htey Do a Zelda Game Like this One

The Gaphics in this Game are Incredable For a Hand Held System. True the story Is a little Predectbl but Everthign else makes up for it. Pyenergy, Dinjji and Spictakuler Graphic are just the start. the Characters grow as you go with exp points and YOu update they Ecipment on the way. Plus the Dinjji Help In battle Changing Stats, Help with a Specal Power or Summon Some Kick @ss Help.

We can only Hope that if they make a Zelda game for Game boy Advance they it fall in this lines. Again the story Could use some work But I'll tell you there's going to be a golden Sun two and I'm sure It well be just as or even better that is one.

Graphics: Look, at THPS3 for GBA, look at Mario Kart SC for GBA. They're nothing to Golden Sun. FLAWLESS. I can't think of words. (6 Stars)

Sound: Also perfect. The quality through the GBA speakers did suck, but that's the system's fault, but put on headphones, and if feels like you're in a surround sound thearter, or even a concert! The soundtrack matched the mood PERFECTLY, and everytihng was EXTREMELY well done. (5 Stars)

Gameplay: The controls were duh, easy, it's an RPG. The battle system wasn't really unique, but the djjin dept it interesting. Plus, outside of battle, you can swap the 28 djjin around your 4-party members to create new classes, with different stats and Spells. (5 Stars)

Replay Value: Um, it's an RPG, you're not buying it for Replay Value. (2 Stars)

Storyline: HUGE and Interesting storyline, that just keeps getting better! (6 Stars)

Overall: BUY THIS GAME, if you have already, buy Advanced Wars! Oh, one last note, there was one tiny annoyance:

The in-between scenes were boring, just people talking, not getting anywhere, i.e:
"OH NO! THE BOULDERS GONNA' CRASH AND WE'LL ALL DIE! LETS GO GET HELP!"
"YEAH, WE SHOULD GET HELP RIGHT AWAY!"
"O.K, NO MORE TALKING LETS GO!"
One Hour Later.....
"COME ON! NOT A MOMENT TO LOSE! LET'S GO!"
CRASH!
Get my point?
