Finally, another fun Wii game!

I have to admit, other than Wii sports I haven't really found any Wii games that I liked to play...until now. Mario Kart is great fun. The wheel works surprisingly well, adds a new element of fun. Graphics are what you come to expect from the Wii but you didn't buy a Wii for the graphics anyway.

Online play is fun, even though I regularly get killed by the competition. I did have some problems getting online the first few days, I'm guessing Nintendo wasn't quite ready for the load on their servers yet. Working well now.

Overall, great game, just good fun for all. If I were you I'd pick up another wheel or two!

I have been a fan of Mario Kart ever since it first came out. Before this game came out, the best one, hands down was Mario Kart 64. The Game Cude Mario Kart was absolutely horrible.

This game takes the Game Cube version, improves it, and adds all of the elements that made the game famous in the first place. They also god rid of the annoying two player karts they had in the Game Cube version.

The best part is if you dont like the racing wheel or the regular wii remote for driving, you can use the game cube controller as well as the controller needed to play the virtual console games.

Bottom line, this is a must have title for the Wii.

How many of us have enjoyed the past Mario Karts? This game has had its mixed reviews with the pros. But what about us 'normal people'? I think this game is great--especially with the new steering wheel--it's very creative, refreshing and fun. While some people didn't like the gamecube DoubleDash version, and instead liked this version, I like both. I do miss the fact that we can't play as two people in one kart, but this game is still fun. The items are more unstable, more routes to take, and new karts/bikes! A big PLUS to this game is that there is the online racing. We can always challenge ourselves against people rather the computers now! This game is entertaining--replay value is there. Great for parties. 5 stars for fun. 4 stars for the overall because the lack of the partnership.

More fun with Wii!

I love this game! I've been a fan since I first played it on the N64. I love the tracks! My 6-year-old loves to play too! It's a bit hard for her, but she's getting pretty good! She practices a lot on the time trials solo section. I had an easier time playing with the wheel, but you don't necessarily need it. Lots of fun!

This game is truly awesome. I bought it the day after it came out and have played it everyday. It is so addicting. I also love playing online, so far I have competed with people from 11 different countries!! They are good so it is challenging and fun! I highly reccomend this game to anone and everyone.

What's amatta you huh?
Well, I have been a fan of Mario kart for a long time and I must say that if you liked any of the previous Mario Karts you will love this one! here's why:

The wii wheel is awsome to use and frankly, the only way to play Mario Kart. I have tryed to play it without the wii wheel and it is just not the same. So, the tracks are fun, the characters are fun, the online matches are fun, the Mario Kart channel is fun and driving Mario around with the wii wheel is the most fun! You can race up to 12 people online from all over the world and race other karters ghost. There is much to do in Mario Kart wii that is challenging yet very fun at the same time, so grab you wheel and hit the tracks as Mario is waiting to pass you by.....

We are enjoying this game very much. It has been only few days but so far we all love it. It is easy to pick up and despite some comments about the wheel not being sensitive enough, I found it almost perfect. It will take some time initially to get used to, but once you get the hang of it it is all fun. I never played the old N64 version of Mario Kart so can't compare to that. I highly recommend adding this game to any Wii owner. It is fun and addictive.

I should probably state that the last time I played a racing game was on my PC using the arrow keys to control a make shift car about 15 years ago. I am no gamer that is for sure, however this could be about to change with the wii and Mario Kart. The wii has converted me into buying a console and Mario Kart has given me a love for racing games.

To begin with I found the operation using the wheel very easy to master. I am not that good when it comes to joysticks and other things so being able to turn the wheel like I would in a car is a major plus for me. There are good number of cars and motorbikes to choose from and courses. I am sure there are many more to unlock if I am ever able to be able to win. But even with my zero skill and never really being able to keep much above 8th place I have found the game interesting and fun.

I love the extras that allow you to throw traps at your opponents and give you extra boosts of speed that allow you to shoot forward. I would recommend buying an extra wii wheel if you intend to have multi-players. I think the wheel allows people of all ages to player together and have lots of fun. Kids can feel as though they have been allowed to drive before they can.

For me personally I truly cannot recommend this game enough for people to buy. Even you none racing fans I would say give it a try.

MAn! what a game.. nice touch in the controls although, I wish they gave more controls on the driving like manual shifting and all that! they only have manual drift control.... graphics is awesome and the game play is great for everyone.... it is not awefully difficult but the game play is complex enough to be fun... controls gets some getting use to.
