This game is fun for the whole family!
Wii have been playing this for hours and hours.
The graphics are fantastic when hooked up to the HDTV.
Make sure you buy at least one extra wheel. This game is SO much more fun playing with other people. It might take you a little time to get used to how responsive the wheel can be.
So much fun

Our family loved the previous Mario Karts and this one is even better. Family friendly fun. The option of being able to challenge people over the web is awesome.

If you are a fan of past Mariokart titles, then you will love this newest addition to the series. They have a mixture of past racing tracks as well as additional new tracks. The coolest update is the online play, which allows you to easily jump into races, battles, and time trials against other players across the globe. Probably the only minus for the online play is that it has a 2-player-per-console limit. You can, however, play up to 4 players when not playing online. All in all, if you are a fan of the past titles, you will not be disappointed with this one.

MarioKart Wii is really fun. Especially when you have a friend over and go against 14 other people online split screen.
Negatives:
No voice chat. I'm used to XBox360 voice chat during online games. That is missed while on MarioKart Wii. But, can't complain though cause gaming online is free, while XBox Live is a paid service.
Great game

This game is really fun on your own. There are characters and cars to unlock so you get rewarded for playing, unlike previous Mario Kart games. The online races are really fun. You can race people from anywhere and you effectively have a ladder type score bawsed on how well you do. This game is a lot of fun to play on your own or with other people.
It's Mario Kart, almost impossible to not to have fun

Mario Kart is one of Nintendo's most consistent franchises and this title doesn't disappoint. To start, there are more characters, more karts, more items, and more tracks. That's always good. As for new things, there are bikes, new race mechanics, and online play. All are well incorporated into the title.
This isn't perfect though. The battle modes is now team battle and forces you to compete with computer players. It's not as fun as Mario Kart 64. Also, the online mode, while nearly lagless and lots of fun, is completely anonymous. That might be good for worried parents, but it makes me feel like I'm just playing a better computer at times.
Mario Kart Wii is great for playing with friends. Almost everyone has played it, and for those who haven't it's easy to learn. The abundance of control methods (Wii Wheel, Remote and Nunchuk, Classic Controller, and Gamecube controller) means everyone can find their favorite, or you can put your local prodigy racer at a disadvantage on his worst. This game is the reason I bought a Wii.
A solid entry in the franchise

If you're into Mario Kart at all then I'd say this is worth picking up. You're not going to find a ton of new features though there are a few cool things that make this game stand out.
Wheel: The wheel definitely takes some getting used to but it can be really fun if you're patient enough to learn to use it.
Online play: You still have to use the annoying Wii code system to play with your friends, but you can play with random strangers without any special setup.
Motorcycles: You can now play with motorcycles which handle a little bit differently.
Tricks: In addition to getting a boost of speed with blue and red sparks, you can also do tricks in mid air which will result in a boost when you hit the ground.
There are also a fair number of new tracks in addition to a lot of tracks from previous games. My only real complaint is that maintaining a first place position in any race is considerably harder than it used to be, as people in last place will routinely get blue shells several times in any given race.
If you like Mario Kart, you'll love this!

This is a lot of fun. If you enjoy Mario Kart, you'll love it. Great graphics, sound, and play which take the series to a new level.
The best part for me is the interactive element of it. Not only the controls, but the fact that you can play people from around the world, if you have an online connection...and it's free!
One of the best games for Wii

I was expecting a lot from this game the way Nintendo was hyping it up. And they delivered. The game is so much fun. The wheel takes a little getting used to but after you've got the hang of it, you cant put it down. You can play online against people all over the world, or just your friends if they have the game.
The only thing I can even think to complain about is when you play with three or four players it can get a little hard to see. And I have a 52" HDTV. But that is easily fixed either tell your friends to go home so you play full screen. Or just get a larger TV.
