I love this game I mean it's so hot. It's fairly challenging. In the beginning it's weird and somewhat difficult to understand in the beginning. But the game is fairly priced and fun and for people who know final fantasy you get healed between battles. This game is pretty good if I cursed there would be a lot of words positive ones describing this game.
argh!

If you like final fantasy, you won't want to miss this. The fights take 10-20 mins each, but you can save at any time. The manual is a bit vague... just remember to hit start during a battle to save and nullify laws.... bottom line, buy it, even if you don't know anything about final fantasy.
So Addictive... Just Like Every Other FF Game

I have played almost every Final Fantasy game (except the most recent two) and this one is just as fun and just as detailed as the other games, if not more so. To date, I have invested approximately 40 hours into playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, and about 10 batteries for the Game Boy Advance, and I don't even think I've scratched the surface of this game.
This game works like most other Final Fantasy games as far as plot and battle. You've got your main character who teams up with various magic users and fighters to defeat evil and save the world. Battle is turn-based but is not random like it is in the other FF games.
What is different is the law system. Every day the laws change. At first they are simple. For instance, fire might be outlawed one day, the next day healing might be banned. A judge presides over your battle to make sure that everything is done to the letter of the law. Breaking the law will cost you some jail time, gil and possibly items, depending on the severity of the penalty inflicted by the judge. And if Marche, the main character, gets in trouble with the law, it may end the game, so be mindful of that.
Your goal in this game is to take on missions, some plot related, some not. As the game progresses you will have new areas to explore. You will also have access to new jobs, another feature of the game. Your characters have starting jobs to choose from (e.g. mage, fighter, their, animist, archer, etc.) and once they have mastered skills within that job, new jobs open up (e.g. juggler, paladin, etc.)
One thing that may frustrate some people is that the battles take a long time. Each battle lasts at least 10 minutes, so this isn't a game you can just play while killing time. And if you die, you've just wasted 10 minutes.
I would recommend this game for die-hard Final Fantasy fans, but it may be too tedious for people new to the series.
it should be a great game but...

Alright, I admit it, I just can't find a single reason why this game isn't fun. The law system, it's great. The mission system...there are a little too many, but overall it's pretty good. the overall battle system sort of resembles Tactics Ogre and FF9 combined, and it's pretty good. The graphics are good, the story is pretty good, even though it moves quite slowly...there's just one flaw. I just don't have FUN playing the game. it's like a chore. Somehow, in all the good-great-ness, I'm not having fun, which is why I only gave it a 3-star rating. Maybe you'll have fun with this game...as for me, I'm sick of it.
Almost flawless

Other than a few minor housekeeping issues, this game is perfect. If you liked the original FFT (and shame on you if you didn't), this is one you should pick up for sure. Hands-down the best GBA game ever made and one of the best RPGs of the last few years. The strategy guide is killer, too.

I guess to begin with I am a fan of the original Final Fantasy Tactics, thats why I picked up this game. Over all the game play was good , it has a great system to it and you can easily sit there for hours playing it, but the story line is so incredibly terrible that I'd have to say I would never have even continued playing it if I wasnt a fan of the original Final Fantasy Tactics. I really cannot emphasize how incredibly terrible the story line is, mabey if I were a 12 year old it would be alright. Either way other than the story its good to go, and pretty inexpencive as well. If you liked the first FF Tactics I'd suggest giving it a try.
definetly worth the money.

I've played some other tactic games but nothing compares to this.
This game even has 300 hours of gameplay.
This game is just simply great.
Plus if you like advance wars you should like this game.
Umm...no

Alot of problembs with this game. The Storyline, battlestyle, movement, charachters, and play is VERY CONFUSING. I Seriously LOVED FFTactics, but this, this is just...no. You don't call this FF and let it go unnoticed. I used to be a dedicated FF fan, they all got booring though. Please, for everyone's sake, don't get hooked on the Final Fantasy series. You just waste your money and time. I suggest *Onimusha, Metal Gear Solid, or the Tenchu series*. They all have very good storylines and ALOT of in-your-face action. Anyways, FFT:A's graphics and music are the ONLY things I liked about it. Otherwise, I just plain disliked it.
