I have been playing video games for almost 30 years now. I have to say that Virtua Tennis is the most engulfing and entertaining game I literally have ever played. Together with the detailed graphics, the specific attention to every aspect of the game of tennis its all enough to keep you going for hours! Get all (4) controllers and get a bunch of friends and play some doubles too! There is everything from lobs to aces, passing shots to diving volleys and the action never stops! If you looking for the ultimate competition, well....I think we've just found it!

Absolutely Fabulous!

What an amazing game. The graphics are amazing. The controls are sooo simple and the gameplay is fantastic. Even if you are not a huge tennis fan, I'm am sure you will have fun playing it with your friends. I like everything about it except for a few MINOR things. One: No Agassi, Sampras or Rafter? Two: The players dive too much. Thats about it. A great game.

I give this game 4 stars because its a great game the best on any system until Tennis 2K2 In this game you cant do much but what can be done is great This is very realistic tennis gameplay ecsept for the ball speed which is kind of slow and the players are people you've never heard of If your looking for a better game get Tennis 2K2

I'd actually rate it 4.5 'cause it's not perfect, but I cant

Virtua Tennis is a very fun and high grapicized tennis game. It's way better than Mario Tennis on N64 and much more realistic. Tommy Haas is my favorite player, but one of the main reasons why this game don't get a 5 is because there is no Agassi, Sampras, Rafter, or Ivanisavic. But other than that, the courts are stunningly realistic. The world circuit is very fun, easy at first, but it gets more challenging as you win. The shops have some good stuff in them except the useless drink and recovery strings. Why didn't they put any rackets in them? The backgrounds songs are great, although I always turn them off. If you love tennis, you will love Virtua Tennis!

I just bought this game today and overall it is a good buy. The only problem with the game seems to be that there are no tennis superstars such as Agassi or Sampras. Whats even worst is that there are no chicks, no Ana Kournikova! Otherwuys, even if you dont like tennis, this game is addictive and easy to play.

Oh, how I love this game!!

OK, I admit I was one of the Janie-come-lately's to the gaming console phenomenon. I waited until the Dreamcast was fifty bucks and loaded up on hardware, peripherals, and games. However, now that I've had the opportunity to play quite a few games over the past 90 days, it's obvious that Virtua Tennis is leaps and bounds above the others. The play is so realistic, you really feel like you BECOME the players! (Not really, but you know what I mean.) I'm a big tennis buff, and it's obvious to me that lots of care was taken to make the guys as realistic as possible with mannerisms, style of play, and movement. I'll be all over Virtua Tennis 2K1 as soon as I find it on sale! Very, very cool indeed.

Best Game EVER!

Okay, I hate watching tennis, I don't mind playing it, and tennis games usually put me to sleep. I played the arcade version at a local arcade and it really surprised me. I just had to get it. It is really addicting and the world circuit is really fun. You do fun trainings like crashing pins and targets and you have a partner. You can save money and buy characters for the arcade version. This game is awesome! GET IT NOW!

I didn't like tennis i didn't even like to think about tennis but one day good ol' papa brought me home this game and i have nothing really better to do than play games, so I popped it into my dreamcast. Boy was it ever fun i have been playing it ever since and at the greatest hits price you can't afford not to buy it.

Tennis For The Non-Tennis Fan

I'm not really a tennis fan, but I still enjoyed this game. Virtua Tennis is great because almost anyone can pick up a Dreamcast controller and start to play this game with some degree of skill. Virtua Tennis isn't too deep as far as gameplay is concerned, but should still please most gamers. This game really shines when taking on a friend in a match or doing a small tournament amoungst a group of friends. The only downside to this game is that it might be a little too arcadish for a serious fan of tennis to enjoy.
