I just bought this game today and overall it is a good buy. The only problem with the game seems to be that there are no tennis superstars such as Agassi or Sampras. Whats even worst is that there are no chicks, no Ana Kournikova! Otherwuys, even if you dont like tennis, this game is addictive and easy to play.

OK, I admit I was one of the Janie-come-lately's to the gaming console phenomenon. I waited until the Dreamcast was fifty bucks and loaded up on hardware, peripherals, and games. However, now that I've had the opportunity to play quite a few games over the past 90 days, it's obvious that Virtua Tennis is leaps and bounds above the others. The play is so realistic, you really feel like you BECOME the players! (Not really, but you know what I mean.) I'm a big tennis buff, and it's obvious to me that lots of care was taken to make the guys as realistic as possible with mannerisms, style of play, and movement. I'll be all over Virtua Tennis 2K1 as soon as I find it on sale! Very, very cool indeed.

Fun for everyone, my girlfriend can play and my mom can play...it has to be easy. VIRTUA TENNIS IS MY BEST FRIEND!!!

Okay, I hate watching tennis, I don't mind playing it, and tennis games usually put me to sleep. I played the arcade version at a local arcade and it really surprised me. I just had to get it. It is really addicting and the world circuit is really fun. You do fun trainings like crashing pins and targets and you have a partner. You can save money and buy characters for the arcade version. This game is awesome! GET IT NOW!

I didn't like tennis i didn't even like to think about tennis but one day good ol' papa brought me home this game and i have nothing really better to do than play games, so I popped it into my dreamcast. Boy was it ever fun i have been playing it ever since and at the greatest hits price you can't afford not to buy it.

I'm not really a tennis fan, but I still enjoyed this game. Virtua Tennis is great because almost anyone can pick up a Dreamcast controller and start to play this game with some degree of skill. Virtua Tennis isn't too deep as far as gameplay is concerned, but should still please most gamers. This game really shines when taking on a friend in a match or doing a small tournament amoungst a group of friends. The only downside to this game is that it might be a little too arcadish for a serious fan of tennis to enjoy.

no real negatives (barring nitpicking) the graphics are stunning, the areans are excellent and you can be a child and pick it up and play. But dont mistake the easy playability for easy gaming, as the levels get higher so do the opponents skill. Even a player not a fan of the sport will like it.

I personally cannot stand tennis. It is the most boring game, next to golf ever created. However, playing this game has made me change my views on tennis. I started playing the world circuit, and before I knew it five hours had passed. If you love sports games and like a challenge, then this is the game for you.
Multi-player, great for playing with three other friends.

I did'nt really like or understand tennis before I played this game. But now I actually enjoy watching matches!! This game is almost perfect! The graphics are great, the challenge is excellent and the game play is really cool.

The ONLY complain I have is that the players dive to the ground too easily. I wish there was a button to make them dive or somthing...instead of just holding down the left or right for too long.

But despite that minor flaw, even if you don't like tennis, BUY THIS GAME!! You will love it after playing it!
