The NOLF Franchise Has Died In The Second Act

A huge disappointment. NOLF 1 is one of my favorite video games of all time. Possibly the greatest marriage of story & interface in a title ever. I can't believe people can hold this sequel up to the original and think it even remotely compares. The graphics & AI are better. I'll give them that.

Gone is the interesting storyline, clever, lol dialog, witty interface and 1960's zeitgeist. What we have in NOLF 2 is a a better looking game with jokes that don't work, levels that are either frustratingly difficult (ninjas/tornado level), monotonous or too easy. Don't get me started on the lack of character development. Or even intros. That would be nice for people who never played NOLF 1. Shoddy marketing. I know it's difficult not to follow-the-James-Bond-leader when you do a spy project, but at least TRY to be a little creative.

Don't waste your hard earned money on this blatant excercise in corporate digital greed & lack of artistry. So disappointing. I'm going to take my chances on Contract J.A.C.K..

Awful

This game had potential, what killed it is it's incompatablity with some graphics cards. That is the trouble I found with this game, if you buy it make sure you have the correct graphics card otherwise the game will NOT work correctly. I think part 1 of the series was much better than this one.

Great!!

What else can I say? Funny, addictive, and a hell of a lot of fun to play!

Nicely Done Litech! I thought for a brief moment, the $10 I was thinking on buying birth control with was wasted, but thanfully I was mistaken! After a slow start, the story gets interesting. This is one Game where even if you play it in cheat mode, it wont help you much. Which I got frustrated with at the beginning, but then, actually let me play the game for longer! From Graphics to Sound, this game has it all. Value for Price? - you CANNOT go wrong!
I hope the put out a Part 3 to this series! For those of you who spent $50 on Doom 3, hows your computer holding up stoopid!?

Wost ever!

I bought this game hoping it was like NOLF 1, it was a disapointment! totally, the graphics are great, but it has too many bugs, ever since vivendi took over Sierra they have been releasing awful copies! I would get Max payne instead!

Sequester Sequels?

-
Pros: Improved user interface and streamlined game play.

Cons: Poor performance, lacks the goofy charm of the original.

Overall: Less experienced gamers may like this, but die-hard NOLF fans may find it a second-rate second helping. Did someone in Marketing direct this project?

Unstable and boring...

I know there are a lot of NOLF fans out there but I didn't play NOLF 1, so I had no extreme expectations of this game. My computer is waaay beyond the recommended configuration, yet load times are about 20-30 seconds (which is unacceptable).

I admit, graphics and sound are excellent but that's about it: the story is barely ok (with stupid story elements which are sometimes referred as "funny" - I think they sucked at best, some of them are downright offending (I'm not Russian but I know quite a few, I felt offended because of the idiotic jokes)).

Missions are sooo boring, it's unbelievable (most missions are like "kill everyone, get key, open door"). Some levels are very tough and the randomly respawning enemies really pissed me off.

One *VERY* frustrating thing was that this game is the only one to date (and to my knowledge) that crashes Windows XP so that you have to reboot it. Just this alone should mean the end of Sierra.

If you're a hardcore NOLF fan, you might like this thing but I give 1 star out of 5, only for the nice graphics. I'll probably never buy a Sierra product again and certainly hope that they go out of business.

never played it!!!

Sexy Chick!!!

This game includes a graphic, which is perfect and also the controls are quite good. The maincharacter is that sexy Cate Archer. Her height is 5'8(1m 73). The multiplayer-mode is forgetable, because there's no deathmatch and one can't choose f.E.: Armstrong or Cate and that's really bad. Armstrong is also my favourite during the Singleplayer-mode. I love such shooting-games, like NOLF 2. Love for Cate Archer!!!
