Call of Duty 4 is awesome! It is unlike any other shooter game I have played before. It offers a variety of combat missions and objectives including some things I have not experienced in other combat games.

The graphics are very impressive and the game play itself is very straightforward but challenging. Operating your character(s) is easy enough.

I finished the campaign in two days. But even once you finish it, you can still have a lot of fun in multiplayer and arcade mode.

You won't be dissapointed!

Warning - make sure you have a good graphics card, fast processor, and enough memory.

Ok, but not really an advance in fps

the graphics are good and the script is engaging. For me, the test is multiplayer play, and here, CoD fails.

To me, a game's arcade scripted action is just there to limber up the fingers for some exciting mulitplayer action. That, imo, is the future of gaming and where all the excitment really lies.

The high water mark in multplayer fps is, imo, battlefield 2. The maps are just big enough to let you strategize and the team playing option is fantastic.

To me, CoD fails in mulitplayer b/c, like the other CoD's it is just a huge fragfest. There is no room to move; you spawn, you shoot, you die -- pretty much in 30seconds flat.

The arcade style game play is enjoyable, but the online experience is weak to stupid. Should be $19.99

I'm going to buy Crysis today, again, not for the arcade game, but I hear the mulitplayer is pretty decent. That, my friends, is where it's at.

Great FPS, finally something other than BF2 to play

I've been waiting for a game to take the place of the 2+ year old BF2, and finally it has arrived. COD4 is more intense, quicker loading, less waiting to revive, and more fun.

It's a lot faster to fire a gun in COD4, so it brings back a CS feel to the game that BF2 did have.

Just BUY IT !!!!!!

A Sequel where everything is done right!

Definitely a worth sequel to one of the best FPS series around. The campaign is fun, but the multiplayer is what really sets this a part from the pack, and all prior Call of Duty releases. The perks, and experience make for an experience that can be customized and unique profiles of players with specific strengths and weaknesses that add to the dynamics of on line play.

My only real complaint: I realize this is just a game, but the explosion radius of the M-203 is ridiculously small.

The best game ever!!

I just completed this game a few hours ago. I rarely ever complete PC games to the end. This game held my attention from beginning to end.

I read some places that people were complaining about the length of the game. I would rather have a short, action packed, balls to the wall game (like this one) than a long drawn out game that rarely has good action (like another game out that has "revolutionary" graphics). The missions are so well made I'm still in awe. You ever seen that video on the internet where it's a black and white night vision from a helicopter and they are shooting at people on the ground and in vehicles? You get to do a mission just like that! Though, towards the last few missions of the game, a little bit of the awe went away.

The graphics is outstanding!!! The graphics and physics are, in my opinion, waaaaaay better than another game (you know which one) and this game doesnt even require as high hardware as the other one. I don't know how the developers made a graphics engine this great, but it's jaw dropping gorgeous.

The weapons are great, too. I love the weapon that they give you in the beginning of the British missions when you are "Soap". TINK, TINK, TINK!

After you complete missions, you can go back and replay them if you wish. I love this feature that is missing from alot of games. Now that I've beat the game, I can go back and play any of the adrenaline pumping missions I wish. Oh, and it has online multiplayer, too.

Get this game, you will not regret it.
