First of all HALO 1 is much better overall. I got bored after a few hours of playing though. REplay value is not good. On the other hand, the graphics are really good. Online SUCKS wang though. If you want an amazing online game, get SOCOM II: US Navy Seals. Its okay for a rental though. Its an average FPS with nothing really special. Although i admit it is fun for the first while you play it. Overall: 4/10 Replay: 3/10 Graphics: 7/10 Sound 4/10

Well Amazon, you really scrood up this time. I pre-ordered Halo 2 on November 4 thinking that it would be here on November 9. It is now November 12 and you have truly succeeded at pissing me off. Every day I have hoped that it would be waiting on my doorstep after work, but it still hasn't come. 1-2 business days my a$$! I can't believe you didn't pay more attention to the most anticipated game ever, you idiots! Don't you read the reviews? Haven't you seen all the ones about angry pre-order customers? I will never order anything from you again and I will tell all my friends not to either! Its Best Buy or EB Games for me next time.

Halo 1 wasn't another multiplayer game it had a great story line plus long levels to keep you entertained for hours, halo 2 failed to do that. Why ? well the game is to short if I can finish the game like halo 2 in one day it means something wrong am not getting what I paid for and people should wake up, we are paying almost 50 dollars for some thing that is going to last a day I DON'T THINK SO, I work hard for my money mammy didn't pay for my game.

PROS:
- The story line was getting better and better on till the end
- New weapon's make it fun to play in multiplayer mode
- Able to play one of the aliens is a good change and makes it interesting
- The game can be played on line

CONS:
- The graphics are to much for the XBOX you can see it during the movie part put during the game you won't.
- Story line to short for being a game with so much hype
- The A.I are completely clue less, if you play it in legendary you better of playing by your self and don't try to give them anything bigger than a plasma riffle if you give them a rocket launcher that will be two thing you have to worry about 1 the enemy 2 them shooting the walls or them self.
- The ending kills the game, am not playing a game for 6 to 10 hours so it can say "to finish it" not no hell no.

of course this is may opinion.

this game is so crooked. It should recieve a reward of "most retarded game of the year". It's only about some dumb guy named Master Chief trying to stop english-talking aliens from getting to Earth. The people who like the game Halo 2 is only because they're just in love Master Chief. I mean, what is the point of that. The grapics are so bad. They look just like atari's first video game more than 10 years ago. I'd rather look at a ball bouncing than look at that pile of human waste. The story doesnt make sense! Why do you become a stupid covenant all of a sudden during the middle of the game and then become Master Chief and then you go back to a covenant? That's just stupid. Everyone who likes the game is retarded. They probably go to a class ment for people with medical needs. Don't buy this game unless you are retarded or just plain stupid. Then you have an excuse to get it. Also, if you buy it, you'll probably have to pay more to get it thrown away in the garbage truck! Or you might just find it in the trash in your dad's office.

As you can see by all the other reviews here Halo2 was expected to be the greatest game ever made. But as someone who waited for it for three years and bought it, I am horribly dissapointed. I expected the caliber of the first Halo. Instead I get a short and easy game with a lousy ending and no real replay value without joined X-Box Live and paying a monthly fee. It has graphical glitches that are worst on HD-TV's, no bots in multi-player, and X-box Live is badly set-up so that you have to have a big friends list or be part of a clan/party to play, if you can even get online because its so busy.
The games is well polished and refined for what is there, but there is so little there is certainly wasn't worth my $80. I'll be selling my copy and getting Half-Life 2 on the 16th.

This is the worst video game ever. Why would anyone in the right mind purchuse this item. its like like purchusing foul talking and bloody action in your home. I as a mother will not buy this. but my 15year old son did. and it changed our house it is so evil.

MULTI-PLAYER

First of all, I really enjoyed the first game and am not about to choose which one is better. They both PWN.

Secondly, I have some news for you: SINGLE PLAYER IS PRETTY BAD, it held my interest for roughly an hour on normal... and about three on legendary

Thirdly....... MULTI-PLAYER IS THE MOST PERFECT GAMING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. A few words, get some friends, get Live, get multiplayer. Halo 2's multiplayer is perfectly balanced, the maps are awesome, and it will take you a loooong time to get bored, around 400 hours. The multiplayer in this game is so overwhelmingly amazing that I dont even care that the single player merits a two star rating. Teamwork is valued, weapons all have their roles, and gameplay is never repetitive also, very strategic.

BUY THIS GAME, IF YOU ARE PLAYING SOMETHING ELSE OTHER THAN HALO 1 YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!!

I was severly pissed off when I bought Halo 1.it was too easy short and boring.My favorite example of boring is the library wow marching around shooting things that looked like retarted trees.
In Halo 2 all my problems with the game where fixed.It was harder it had more action and not to mention the opening level is Badass.
Oh and for you jerks who say if you hated Halo1 why did you buy halo 2.I bought halo 2 because my friend told me it was harder so me and him made a bet.Unfortunatly I lost skeptical that halo 2 was just as horrible.
if you ask me though about FPS games Half life is king Doom follows close by and then Halo.

Halo 2 is an overall great game. Though, there are some things that are problems. The graphics in the game, and mostly in the cut scenes are pretty ugly. Also, as in the first Halo, the level designs are very very repetitive. Just like in Halo CE, you will find yourself confused as to where your gong and that Have I already been here? feeling. The other problem is that while the gameplay is truley fantastic, the single player campaign is very short. Expect to beat the game in 10 hours or less.
The multiplayer portion of the game is quite good. Many diferent types of gameplay and a variety of a few good maps makes this one FPS multiplayer game to get.
Aside from the graphics, level design, and longetivity of the campaign, Halo 2 is just as great in terms of gameplay and intersting storyline as the first. Making this a mandatory purchase for XBOX owners.
