While Im sure this game is awesome, Amazon hasnt even shipped it yet. Why bother using Amazon pre order?

I preordered in August. It's November 9th. I have no game.

Amazon, you dropped the ball big time. I promise never to order (let alone pre-order) anything related to videogaming again from Amazon. Simply unacceptable. I could have preorder from Best Buy, but no, I tried to be an Amazon loyalist.

Stupid, stupid move, Amazon.

Everybody is freaking out about Halo 2. "You can play it online against people! That's way better than playing a computer!" Oh yeah, that's great kids. WELCOME TO 1995! Us Windows PC users have been playing on the internet against "real people" since Doom 2 and Duke Nukem 3D came out with the release of Kali95 in 1995. People seem to treat Halo 2 like it's the grand opening of multiplayer gaming. Please. Quake and Doom led the way and MMORPGs are leading it even further. I suppose when a game that rips off Everquest and every other MMO on the market comes out for some crappy $200 console system in a few years, they'll say the same thing. I can see it now... "Halo 4 is amazing! You can level your character and play with your friends in a party!"

Sigh.

By the way, I played it to see what all the fuss is about. Both it and Halo 1 and average first person shooters with no interesting storying, multiplayer advancements, or strategy to pull them anywhere out of mediocrity.

Boring boring boring. It was all done and done better nine years ago on PC.

I cannot rate "how much fun the game is" or "how I would rate the game overall" as I still haven't recieved my pre-ordered copy. I pre-ordered HALO 2 from Amazon 9.10.2004 and today 11.9.2004, the day I was supposed to have it, I still don't see it set to Ship fro Amazon/Targe t or whoevers supposed to be handling my order. I tried to upgrade my shipping, yes I was willing to pay more, but I was not able to get the change made. My order at present reads "shipping soon", ok, that tells me alot. Not happy with how the order was handled. I was working on the understanding that if I pre-ordered HALO 2, my copy would ship on either the 8th or 9th of November, not be held up. Bad marketing Amazon, bad handling of my order, may you get a lump of coal in your stocking for Christmas.

Figure this one out. I ordered a copy for myself early in October.
I then about 5 days ago ordered a copy to be sent to my brother. Now it says that my brothers copy (ordered later) is shipped, my copy is still to be shipped soon. And even though the local Meijer
has the game in stock, Amazon won't let me cancel my still to be shipped order. Refrickindiculous.

I bought Halo 2 2 weeks ageo brought it home started playing it right away. I was not happy with it because it was to easy for me. and the new wepens suck!!!!! some of them are weak. and I got though the whole game and won in ONLY 3 DAYS after I bought it. If YOUR THINK ABOUT BUYING HALO 2 DON'T JUST SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR SOME ELSE.

Yeah I preordered Halo 2 in August with the promise that it would be at my door step November 9th. Well its Nov. 9th and it hasnt even shipped yet. Amazon.com pre order is not the way or the place to buy video games!

I pre-ordered this game on September 12. But now it only says that it's getting ready to be shipped? I'll most likely never pre-order from Amazon.com again.

Well, it's now November 10th and my son's copy of Halo 2 still hasn't shipped.....according to Amazon it had an ETA of November 8th. We preordered back in August. Will continue to look locally for it and return the shipment to Amazon......that is if it ever arrives!!!!! They've just lost me as a customer.
