THis great is Fantastic. As expect of Nintendo. There was one thing that I hated in the beginning. The game can make one very, very, Dizzy. Overtime this fades away for you grow used to the controls and gameplay. Overall, 5 stars!

Better than awesome.

Short but brief review, excellent game. This reminded me of Super Mario 64 and the fun I had playing that. It may be a bit easy, but some parts will probably make you really frustrated.

more than awesome!

perhaps it fells like any other mario game, it is a really piece of art, the scenarios are just clean a bright, and introduces the gravity factor that does a lot to bring something very new, to play upside down and fell like ist just rigth! its a games that you play and as you play you wish to never beat it!
if you like good games, dont skip this, this is one of the best in this decade!

Super Mario Galaxy is a fantastic game. I can remember when Super Mario 64 came out; it was Mario reinvented. We hadn't seen Mario in 3-D and it was fantastic. Mario Galaxy takes 3-D to a whole new level, making Mario 64 seem flat by comparison. This game has the same fun feel of Mario, but uses the Wii's abilities to their fullest, allowing for a gaming experience that has certainly never been had with our favorite Nintendo hero.

My only quarrel with the game is one that I also remember having with Mario 64. The perspective of the controls is always from Mario's eyes, not from your own, so sometimes it is easy to become disoriented when running upside-down or on the other side of a planet. With Mario 64, I got used to it and quickly became a pro; with Super Mario Galaxy, I am still having problems after hours of play. I still have a blast, even if I don't know whether I'm coming or going.

All in all a great game and a must-have for Mario fans like me.

THIS GAME IS SOOO FUN!

I recieved this game for Christmas along with the wii. I couldnt wait to play it and couldnt stop once i did. The only bad thing is, I couldnt figure out how to save unless you find a star. It is challenging in a good way and overall is VERY fun!

A must have

Pros:
Sets the graphical bar for the Wii with 16x9, 480p support (with the component cable), very fluid animation that never drops below 60fps, great lighting and textures. The controls are very intuitive and easy to learn. The game makes great use of the wiimote and nunchuck controller Extrememly fun, Innovative, and addictive gameplay (even for a mario game).

Cons:
I understand that it is rated E for everyone but sometimes it feels TOO MUCH like a kids game. Not very challenging (luckily there is a lot of gameplay here).

This is what the Wii was made for

I love this game. After playing most of the Super Mario RPGs, with exception to the gameboy and the game cube games, I found another favorite. I haven't had time to complete the game, but this game is so big and fun that I don't mind. The graphics, design of the levels, and finally the game play with the Wiimote are excellent.

My girlfriend didn't like playing video games before we got the Wii, but after showing her how easy the gameplay can be with the wiimote + nunchuck and her finding the characters "cute" in SMG she had to try and enjoyed it. Thank you Nintendo.

Classic Mario Action and Awesome Co-op Mode

To put it briefly this game is amazing and classic. It now even ranks higher on my "best-of" list than my favorite Super Mario Bros. 3. So why is it so amazing? First it does everything right that SMB3 and SMW did. Many suits and new abilities blend into Mario's standard set to add diversity and fun to the mix. Second most camera issues present in Mario's previous 3D adventures have been ironed out. This is one thing that killed Mario Sunshine for me and I was so pleased by this correction. The animations are even more fluid than before. Third there's actually a bit more of a story here than normal. Finally co-op mode is amazing. Sitting with a friend who can collect star bits, hold enemies, and shoot enemies may not seem like much but it really helps and is very fun. Overall if you like Mario games than this is for you.

GREAT game for everyone!

I love playing this game with my 10 year old son. I can help him out by stopping enemies and gathering star bits for him and even make him jump while he is doing most of the action. I love that I can join in and "tag along" with him on this game without actually doing the difficult things as I know that I couldn't do them!! The graphics are great and the whole game is very eye appealing!! Some of the music is from the "old" super mario games which brings back childhood memories! GREAT game for everyone!!

Mario is the King of Platforming and will always be, whether it be 2D or 3D Mario dominates completely. Who would have ever thought that a red plummer with a big M on his hat would become one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) video game franchise of all time. The game is truly a masterpeice, not only does the controls (which I thought would suck) feel natural and tight but the movements of Mario in this game is the smoothest and has the most realistic physics a Mario game or any Platformer has. This really is a very ingenius game and I can't believe how much fun it is.

The game is almost perfect but there are flaws. The PROS are the Graphics, this game is one big rainbow basically has every color possible and from everything from the star particle effects to the water splashes this game has one of the most incredible graphics around and really pushes the Wii to the limit. The controls are very tight and they also added a pointer to collect something called star bits and while this is a nice addition to the game, it could be a beat distracting especially for those who like to collect everything possible. The Sound could not be better, Mario is still basically mute just making noises but not any words, amazingly there is a lil voice acting but the creatures like Bowser and the Lumas just make the same sounds over and over. This game has a lot of replay value, you can beat the main game with 60 stars but there are mainly 120 stars in the game and there is no order to get the stars, you can get them whenever you want and even after you beat the main game there are plenty of stars to collect to kill your precious time and life. This game is a lot of fun also, each level (galaxy) is new there never really anything that is used twice in this game but technically they are used twiced just in different forms.

There are a couple of flaws from being THE perfect platformer tho, first is the camera, the cmaera isn't that bad but you don't really have control of the camera and there are some spots you wish you did. Swimming with mario still sucks, I had swimming in every game it is slow and hard to control. The game is not as easy as some people say it is, there are some hard levels and the game can become a bit frustrating at times. Last is not a big of a deal, but although the controls are great sometimes the controls don't really respond to what your doing, like when your doing a spin attack, the spin ended up being a lil late at times but maybe it was just me.

Super Mario Galaxy is the best game for the Wii right now and if u don't believe me look at the other reviews, they will say the same exact same thing so go out and buy this and beleive me when I say it is the greatest Platformer so far (until another Mario game comes out).
