This game is a very good game. I had doubts on it when I first thought about getting it. I didn't think it was going to be very good. I was wrong. This game is possibly the best N64 game on the market.

Goldeneye has more pros than cons and it is a great game to play over and over and over again. The major con is that it has horrible cinema scenes and lacks a good plot. It has tons of replay value so I reccomend buying it. It has a chalenging and fun single player mode with good mission set ups and provide lots of fun to do over again. Plus, to make it more replayble, you have to beat all the levels on Agent, Secret Agent, and 00 Agent. But the multiplayer function is where you get the most replay value. It has many stages in which you can fight your freinds and you can choose among tons of weapons and gadgets to beat your opponent. You will like this game even if you didn't like the movie.
Also reccomended: PERFECT DARK

Goldeneye bought a new level to the world of first person shooters. Instead of the mindless shooting of every bad guy you see, Goldeneye led you through missions. In these missions you had to figure out the best way to accomplish your goals. Maybe taking your time and picking off enemies with a sniper rifle was the best way to go, other times required that you strap on your two granade launchers and run out with fire blazing. This makes the game very dynamic and fun to play over and over again. The four player death match is undoubtedly the best feature of the game. Since Goldeneye was released, all other shooters have made it mandatory that they have four plyer mode. This is the best game going today and hopefully Rare will continue their legacy by advancement in the first person genre with Perfect Dark in April 2000.

This is got to be the greatest game ever released by Nintendo. I got this game for my birthday when it first came out and I wasn't quite sure if I wanted to keep it. I am certainly glad I kept it because it is extremely fun. I have owned the game for about 3 years now and I still haven't mastered the game. The game creators thought of every little detail when they developed the game. The missions are very hard, especially the Cradle and Aztec Complex on "Secret Agent" and "00 Agent". I am still not tired of this game. Everytime I put the game in the game deck, it presents me with a new challenge. The bad guys are sometimes very smart and even out-smart you, but other times they are just plainly stupid. This is a great game and I recommend it to anyone is looking for a challenge in a video game.

Truly a masterpiece when it comes to console gaming. The multiplayer fun is unrivaled and the gameplay for single player never ends because of the grueling trial to try to get all the level cheats, which can only be earned through practice and superior game play. If you have a N and not this game, then you haven't experienced the best...

There is simply nothing that can touch Goldeneye. Even as the simple Doom clone that so many of it's critics denounce it as, it still excels over any other game in the genre. Whether in single or multiplayer, everything about the game is stunning. In fact if it weren't for Zelda, this would still be the best game on the N64. The stealthy, mission-based gameplay of the singleplayer game is only superseeded by Goldeneye's amazing Multiplay which makes PC internet gaming look poor in comparision. Nothing compares to slugging it out with three friends on this game. Nothing. Truly a classic, I await RARE's sequel, Perfect Dark with more anticipation than I've felt for a long time.

If you like the action in Bond's movies and you want to become part of it this is for you. It includes things from a couple of the other Bond movies. The two bonus levels which you have to earn are from other movies. In multiplayer you can become one of at least twenty charactors. Even after you beat the game the fun continues. You can earn cheats through the game like invincibility unless you are the lazy type and use the Game Shark. Some of the levels have so many enemys you can spend up to an hour in it just going around and finishing them off. Some levels have infinite guys and all you have to do is wait in one spot making niose and they'll come to you. One of the few uunrealistic things is it often takes several shots to kill one guy. If you don't like blood and bodies everywhere don't worry, the dead guys dissappear in about five seconds. There is almost nothing about this game that is unlikable. I have had this game for a couple of years and I still play it.

It simply is the best N64 game ever. Especially Multiplayer mode, it ROX! Single player kicks too! I played it with my dad, and he doesn't like anything! He loved it... i'm 15. I'm not even a video game fan... definately buy this game if you can!

I think that this is one of the best video games for N64 today. As I have been an avid Bond fan for years, I heard about this game and figured that it was to good to be true. It certainly is good, and true as well. It has excellent first-person graphics, very good controls, and an awesome multiplayer mode that's great for playing with friends, and it's the best party game since twister. As well as the quality of game play, it also contains a lot of classic Bond characters and themes (the gunbarrel sequence in the beginning, for example) that will send the Bond fan gravitating back to it again and again, and an innovative storyline. All in all, an smashing game.
