AN INSPIRATIONAL GAME TO OTHER DEVELOPERS

007 GoldenEye was and still is a great game.It was never bettered by its decents, not once,It was a huge attack on the PlayStation one users,Of coarse PS1s Best Selling game was Metal Gear Solid,i think that is also a legendary game,as its decents never toppled it,but MGS was a stealth/Action game so PS1 best FPS game was the WWII set,Medal Of Honor but GoldenEye is better.
I still think 007 GE graphics are good not the charicter models they were a bit blocky, but not as blocky as MGS charicters, but GE had a good enviroment textures like have you seen the tiled walls them walls look pretty real, but graphics should not be the meat of any game, even though we should have good ones anyway.todays kingshot FPS is Halo/Halo 2 for the XBox,but i found out that some of the people at the now old RAREWARE company that made 007 GoldenEye also made Halo 1 &2 that means, that these guys are definately the best FPS makers.
I say that in consoles XBox`s precessors are Nintendo 64 and SEGA`s DreamCast, why, cause XBox`s games are inspired by the N64 games THINK ABOUT IT!,Halo made by the guys who made 007 GoldenEye, also other games on N64 were sequaled to XBox like DOOM 3,Half Life 2,and not to mention Perfect Dark as the new console,XBox 360 has made a new game named Perfect Dark:ZERO,i don`t at all say that N64 was survived GameCube NO it was survived by XBox.And DreamCat cause of its online thing and major attention to the internet and the similar contoller. As for GameCube and PS2 in my opinion they were survived by the so-called popular PlayStation one.donno why..

An N64 classic

Who would have thought that this incredibly light cartridge contains one of the best N64 games of all time? Pop in Goldeneye 007 and you'll find yourself in 3-D enviroments where the best way out is not always with your finger on the trigger button. Face off against highly intelligent enemies who have been accurately sculpted to resemble their movie counterparts. Leap off a towering dam, escape from an exploding train, and duel with 006 aboard a giant antenne cradle as you relive one of the best 007 movies ever made. Throw in a multiplayer deathmatch with a bucketload of customizable options, and you've got a game that'll last you long after you finish the solo player missions, which i've been working away on for six months and still haven't fully completed! Yes, Goldeneye's sequel Perfect Dark may be out now, and yes it has been enhanced in every way, but never underestimate the power of a tux, a martini, and the powerhouse developer known as Rare. By all means, pick this one up before Nintendo decides to stop manufacturing it anymore.

Pretty Cool

When I first saw Goldeneye, I wanted it desperately. A couple months later I got it and couldn't stop playing it. And now because the all new cheats have resurfaced, I play it even more. You can choose from a ton of guns from an assualt rifle, to a "cheat only" taser, to a tank! Of course, Bond's trusty PP7 is there to help, but worthless later in the game. Most people never rate replay value, but I do. What good is a game if your never gonna play it again? The replay value is high. Some levels can be unlocked if you beat levels on certain difficulties. The best level is the Aztec. Jaws is gonna go down! Multiplayer isn't that bad, but better in Perfect Dark, its "clone". Do what I did and buy this game right away!

Great googaly-moogaly!

I'm not a big FPS fan, but all I heard from friends was thatthis game is awesome. So, with a Christmas gift certificate forAmazon, I bought it. Goldeneye is even more challenging than Rogue Squadron's later levels. Once you get the hang of the controls, its smooth, but fun, sailing. The replay in single player mode is enhanced with secret codes that un-lock once you beat a level in a certain time frame. The OO Agent setting is VERY hard. The multi-player mode has different settings and lots of different stages and loads of characters. You also use a lot of stealth, making sure guards don't hear you or security cameras spot you is difficult. But be warned wussy gamers out there: It's very hard! But the graphics rock, even if Nataliya looks like a man. The cut-scenes are awful, though.

like some of the other reviewers, i too bought the n64 solely because of this game. i played it in wal-mart and thought to myself, "wow, i must own this." i have since then bought many more games for the system, but none of them come close to this masterpiece. it has everything one could ever hope for in a video game. perfect one player scenario, with plenty to do at different levels. great cheats that you (and some of the levels are quite difficult to get the cheat on--just try to get invincibility on the facility level) will spend hours using, like: double rcp90's. need i say more about that? anyway, it also truly is the best multiplayer game ever. many parties i have had with this game being the centerpiece. the only qualm i have about this game is that even though bond has many moves the one he doesn't have is jumping. that would help greatly on the temple level. anyway, i was very disappointed that rare/nintendo couldn't land the rights to tommorrow never dies. play station? please. and it doesn't look good for them landing the rights to the world is never enough. so, what shall a feverently loyal fan to rare's brand of bond to do? wait till perfect dark evenutally comes out (which has been pushed to an april release-- a year and a half in the making, but i hear it is going to be worth it). till then, i suggest getting this game whenever you crawl out from under the rock that you are undoubtedly under for if you knew about this game then why don't you own it?

Need some fun in a college dorm? GET THIS GAME!

Bond was more a part of my college experience than any class ever was. If you want to get a bunch of people together and have a great time, get a system and buy this ONE game. It just never gets old. Play by yourself, play the multiplayer mode with teams, have competitions, do WHATEVER! .......

This is it....

This is the best game for Nintendo 64, by far. I bought this game about 3 years ago and I still play it all the time. Its got everything: great graphics, killer AI, great story, and most of all, its a great multiplayer game. There is nothing more fun than sitting down with a couple of buddys to see whos the first one to get 50 points... I'll say it again, there is no better game for N64 than Goldeneye 007.

I think that goldeneye is a really cool game and everyone who plays it will never get tired. It also takes a long time to master so you won't get done with that game 2 days after you buy it. Trust me and get this game, for most fun you've had in years!

Excelent!

Probably my favorite N64 title in my collection. It looks like I cant stop playing the game, and the mutiplayer mode is really cool. Finishing the game is one thing. Earning all the cheat codes its totally different. If you dont have the game, I strongly sugest you buy it. If you have it, try to get all the cheat codes.
