This is the best game for N64. If you like games that you can't just sit down and beat in one day then this is the game for you. Multiplayer with four people is probably one of the funnest things you will ever do with a video game. Also once you've beaten all the levels you're not done with the game because there are still a bunch of cheats that you can get by doing certain levels under a specific amount of time.
A pretty good game,"Goldeneye"

The game of James Bond "Goldeneye" is a pretty good game for Bond games. The good thing about it is the plot of the story which goes along with the movie real well, the cheat options are great because everytime you beat a level in a certain time frame you get a new cheat option. Also the graphics for the buildings are good, so are the men that you fight. The bad thing about it is the graphics for the guns which aren't very good, the last scenario is a letdown because it doesn't make sense...

This game is very good! If you don't have it buy it. I think Amazon.com has the best deal on it too. This is the best if not the greatest game so far for N64. The controller figuration is very good, gameplay is fun, and the multiplayer makes it the best. GET IT!

Nearly all games today are ruined by unrealistic medkits, extra lives, guns turning into tidy little ammo cases, and other add-ons that supposedly make the actions better. Goldeneye is very realistic. Once you have been hit, you cannot gain back health. You can get body armor, but it only stops you from being hit, it doesn't give you more health. Enemies die realistically, react to sounds, and are often smart if they are confronted by heavy fire, they will run or roll to a better position. They snipe and sneak up on you. Also, when they drop their guns, the guns lie at any angle on the ground, depending on the position of the dropper. Cameras are hard to sneak up on. They are, like real cameras, damaged more heavily on the lens. The first-person view makes precision aim essential, and you can do nearly any maneuver. Bullet holes appear in hit objects, and guards hear even a silenced gun if it hit metal. Cheat codes and multiplayer add to the fun, and their is a wide selection of levels, from sneaking through a dark jungle to freeing hostages on a ship. It punishes you for killing civilians, and if you are killed, you die. Awesome cheat modes are Slow animation (enemies move and die in slow motion DK Mode (enemies have big heads and walk like monkeys) Invisibility Invincibility Enemy Rockets (all guns, of anyone besides you, are rocket Launchers) All weapons (OVER 30!) Infinite Ammo And more... Multiplayer levels require many strategies, and sidestepping, aiming quickly, finding weapons and armor, and ducking are needed to master this mode.

This is simply the best N64 game. I have been playing it for almost 3 years now and STILL haven't gotten sick of it. The thing that really makes this worth the money is the multi-player mode, which can last for hour upon hour of fun. I can't wait for a sequel.

This game is great. It is full of adventure, and strategy. It has a variety of many different kinds of weapons and characters to chose from. You can play by yourself, and try to beat diffferent levels, or play with your friends, and go against them, or be on teams. Overall, this is one of my favorite Nintendo 64 games, and I highly recommend you to buy it.

This game falls into my categories as one of the best games ever. I have played many, many games in my day and haven't seen one quite like this. Great controls, exciting gameplay, secrets, many weapons, what more could you ask for?
The game that made the N64 worth owning

In my opinion, Goldeneye is the game that basically made the N64 truly worth owning. Released at a time when Mario 64 was pretty much the only other great game out for the system, it won countless praise from gamers and critics alike, winning the 1997 Game of the Year award from the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences. Does the game deserve all the attention? Is it as good as everyone says? YES.
Graphically this game is great. Although the graphics engine is a bit outdated now, it is still very good. The game features incredibly well designed levels and surroundings, for the most part following the movie it was based upon. It's also worth noting the amazing amount of detail that was put into the game, from soldiers swatting at flies and sneezing to models of planes and lamps sitting on desks.
Sound is top notch as well, with variations of the classic Bond theme throughout the game. Rare generally has excellent sound in all of their games, and Goldeneye is no exception. The sound effects for everything is realistic and very well done.
Gameplay is UNBELIEVABLE. This is hands down, the best first person shooter out there. Goldeneye added a much needed breath of fresh air to the FPS genre by introducing objectives to complete in each level. It's actually fun to play through levels, you're not just running for an exit! This game is the most polished and fun to play FPS I've ever seen, revolutionizing and taking the entire genre to a whole new level.
Multiplayer in this game is also one of the most fun out of any other N64 game out there. There are tons of options available, suiting everyone's needs. The multiplayer in Goldeneye is incredibly fun to play in and remains one of the N64's best to this day.
This is the real deal folks, the complete package. Goldeneye has the best controls, the best gameplay, and the best multiplayer out of any FPS I've played. If there's only one game to have on the N64, I would recommend Goldeneye, even over Zelda 64. Most games lose their appeal after the first few months, but Goldeneye is still selling well and at least on my N64, being played often. It's far and away my favorite video game of all.

I got this game when it first came out(I was just too lazy to write a review) and even today I'm still impressed. As a James Bond fan, I was excited about a new Bond game coming, but was a little worried about it being a very bad game(many movie-based games turn out pretty bad). This game put all my worries to rest. The intelligent AI, large selection of weapons, tons of objectives, and an incredible multi-player mode make this one of the best games ever made across all systems.
