Wow. I'm 16. I LOVE this game. it's a couple years old, and my friends and I still play this game every week, tournaments with 3 Tv's and more at a time. Wow. great level of difficulties, easy to very hard... it'll challenge the best of players, and there's somethin for the youngins too. Get it, and get it now. Wow, whatta game.

Great action packed adventure/thriller.

Some of you may be questioning as to why I gave this a 3 out of 5 rating for "educational." The reason is this. This game contains several problems (objectives) which will make players sit down and keep playing, figuring these problems out. Another thing is that when you press the R button you will get a crosshair which you can aim at your enemies. This gives kids hand-to-eye coordination. Kids will probably want to own this after they've heard all about the acclaim the game has recieved. If you do have pre-teen kids who want to own this, please take into consideration that the game is extremely violent. I would not recomend this game for anyone under the age of 12. Now the final step.

Here are the key elements that make a game good: (Note: All are out of 10)

Action: 8

Suspense: 7

Graphics: 9

Game Design: 9

Play Control: 8

Satisfaction: 10

Sound: 9

Amazing!

Since I first started playing this game at my friend's house I was enthralled by it. The one player mode keeps drawing you in. Even after losing at a level several times I was compelled to keep trying. Also, getting all the cheats will keep you playing for months. The multiplayer mode is equally impressive and there is nothing like playing License to Kill with 3 others. As a response to the previous to comments 1) Adding those new features would make the game overly complicated and detract from its fun 2) They had to change the name of guns due to licensing 3) The enemies are easy in the first level of difficulty but in 00 agent mode they are accurate and deadly. Next time play the full game before giving a review and don't be a nerd and over analyze everything. Goldeneye is a great game and a must to own if you have a N64.

The best there is and the best there ever will be for N64

Well,I'm a video-game player from Germany and I review GoldenEye here because unfortunately, this game is banned here in Germany.
OK,I bought this game 1998 and never really put it out of my hands.Last week,I erased a game file and started a new game after months and I have to say that this wonderful piece of video-game history is definitely the best game for Nintendo 64-ever!I like it even more than its inofficial sequel Perfect Dark. Even if you play the game hundreds of times, some missions are still hard to finish in the 00 Agent-difficulty.
The graphics are quite good and the animations of Bond's enemies are great! And altough the sound power of the N 64 is not that good,GoldenEye has music pieces that would be suitable for a 007-movie.Even the original Bond-intro and a new version of the 007-theme are included in this game!
But you have to mention the multiplayer mode, too,of course!I can tell you:if four friends sit in front of GoldenEye,you won't even recognize how many hours pass!
Even if this game is more than two years old,I highly recommend to buy this product if you don't already have it!

Golden Eye is widely considered one of the best FPS ever made. It is a great solid game, and I recommend this game to everybody.

dont you just love a game that keeps you playing. i have had this game 4 years and believe me, it is still fun to play. there is so much to it. on my opinion, it is 10 times better than playstations tomorrow never dies.there is only a little bit of blood when you shoot a bad guy but it's really not that much. i love the multiplayer. you can pick from over 20 players! single players lets you be only bond. the graphics are sweet. and there are 18 jam packed levels right of the movie. (plus 2 extras from the old movies) when you complete a level and you see bond's face, it really looks like pierce brosnan. this is a must have. and look out for the world is not enough.

I personally know three people (including myself) that bought their N64's because of this game. The rest bought 007 shortly after. If you don't have this already, you're wasting your machine!

THE BEST N64 GAME EVER!

I think this game is unarguably the best N64 game ever created. Its challenging and you cant just go through the levels blasting everything in sight in other games like Duke Nukem. You have to save your ammo and there's no health power ups. You can also get special cheats by doing certain things like completing a certain level in 3 minutes and 30 seconds or something like that. I seriousely think that this game is great. I couldn't give it more than 5 stars, but if i could, I would give it 6.

I have not played this game for a very long amount of time, but i think i have played it long enough to have a valid opinion. I do not own an N64 and have never played Majora's Mask or Perfect Dark so please do not criticize me for saying that this is the second best N64 game ever, as far as i know.

Goldeneye pulled of a miracle in 1996 by becoming the first game based on a franchise to stand up there and fight with the big boys. It acheived this by avoiding the much made mistake of trying to copy the film, instead altering it slightly to make for a much more playable and just plain slick game. Although many rave about the multi-player mode in Goldeneye, i find that all it really does is add replayibility. The single player mode is probably the best part of the game and involves some excellent missions and cool levels such as the dam, the facility, the cradle and the severnya wastes.

It has superb graphics, although there can be serious glitches such as slowdown and shoddy colision detection (anyone who has experienced the amazing walk-through-walls guards can vouch for this) there are also amazing face maps and the walls can become peppered with bullet holes. In terms of sound the music is just excellent, although the effects (besides the gunshots) are uninspiring. The gameplay is fantastic and the missions are really great. A certain something or other is added to the game by the fact that you are Bond. Nothing beats running around with PP7 in hand feeling oh-so spyee.

GRAPHICS: 93% Otherwise superb graphics, spoiled by nasty glitching. Mmmm... Face mapping

SOUND: 92% Brilliant music, uninspiring sound. Mmmm... Runway Music

GAMEPLAY: 95% Probably as good as Ocarina. Mmmm... Missions

SOMETHING OR OTHER: 95% You are Bond. Need i say enough. Mmmm... PP7 (SO much character in this gun)

OVERALL: 95% Although graphics and sound are not quite as good as Ocarina, it is almost as good in terms of gameplay and SOO. Mmmm... My number 3 (behind 2 Zeldas, maybe i'm biased).

"Sticky rice... steamed, not microwaved"

Over the years Sticky has seen rice cooked in a multitude of ways; nasi goreng, Hainan chicken rice, sweet rice Nyonya cakes, the sublime sticky rice, et alia. But it has been a while since he has seen rice this nice.

Goldeneye cooks in a way few console games have before, and in a way all games should aspire to. Sticky cannot help thinking that this game belongs in the finest of Michelin kitchens.

It's a bit strange that an outfit called "Rare" is responsible for such magnificent rice. Maybe they should change their name to "Steamed".
