I just got my Game Boy Color about a week ago and of the few games I have, this is my favorite. There are 8 worlds and 4 levels in each world and there are about a million things to do to earn points. There is also a challenge game and a vs game. All are fun. The reason I like this game is that you're always trying to improve your score and get through more levels. It's pretty hard, but it's tons of fun. There's no doubt about it, this game is awesome!
I love it! I love it!

This game is one of my favorites! As usual, the King of the Koopas has taken over Mushroom Kingdom and it's up to Mario and Luigi to save Princess Toadstool and her people from him. I like this game because it's really fun and it has totally good graphics and is very detailed. I like if you click on the up and down controllers, you can see more of the screen. I would suggest this game for beginners or advanced players. It might be a little too easy for very advanced players but I started it about a month ago and I'm fine with it except I sometimes have trouble in the under-water section.

Super Mario Brothers Deluxe is a great time taker-upper. I am not able to get out of bed, yet it passes the time and is loads of fun. You can play 32 different games. There are 8 levels of 4 games each. On the last one, you find the princess and win. You can also play on challenges, and look for different things. Even if you are not one bit experienced (like me), you'll get the hang of the game fast and learn to love it. It's also challenging for more advanced players. I really loved this game, and I hope youy love it too!

For anyone who remembers the classic gameplay of the origional Super Mario Bros. for your old 8 bit Nintendo Entertainment System back in the mid 80's rejoice, its back! The simple nature of this game makes it so wonderful. Its easy for players of all ages and skills to learn very quickly, but will take hours to master. Super Mario Bros. is a true Video game origional. Its simply was the first well executed game of its kind. A side scrolling adventure game, with tasks to be completed that require skill and paitence, not just mindless button mashing.
The Game Boy color version is no different. It is a perfect translation of this timeless classic, so give it a whirl and fall in love all over again!
Nintendo Shows 'Em How It's Done...

After a slew of sub-par Game Boy Color games, along comes Nintendo to show everyone what the perfect side-scroller is like. What better way to do this than resurrecting one of the most famous video games of all time - Super Mario Brothers?
The fact that a game from 1985 can still be entertaining today is a testament to the fantastic design behind it. The story is something every gamer ought to be familiar with. Mario and Luigi, two everyday plumbers from Brooklyn, find themselves transported into a strange land known as the Mushroom Kingdom. An evil turtle, named Bowser, has taken over the Kingdom with the help of his Koopa clan. The monster even had the nerve to turn all of the Kingdom's inhabitants into blocks! Fortunately, the fair Princess Toadstool (or Peach, nowadays) has the power to break the spell. Unfortunately, Bowser has kidnapped the Princess. Naturally, it's up to our intrepid plumbers to rescue her.
The graphics are unchanged from the NES classic. They didn't bother to scale the game down to fit on the Game Boy screen, so a full scene on the NES runs off the edges on the Game Boy Color. This is both good and bad. The good is that the sprites are big and everything feels highly genuine. The bad is that it makes some levels a bit more frustrating than they were before. The levels containing the egg-tossing Koopa in the cloud, Lakitu, are such an example.
The designers also added a few nice bells-and-whistles to enhance the old game (and make it worth the price). Besides including the Lost Levels, there are also stickers to print, a calendar, and a fortune teller. There are also a few new game modes, including You versus Boo (a race to the finish line against a ghostly Boo Buddy) and Challenge (find five red coins, a Yoshi egg, and get a high score in every level). There is a lot to do once you beat the main game.
The controls are perfect and the music is straight from the NES. There is also a save system that you can use after every level, which is very good.
Overall, this is a great purchase for game-starved Game Boy Color owners. I personally hope we see more NES conversions following the success of this one.

This game is fun and it looks just like the nes game. In fact the only thing diff. is that you can play mini games and the camera is zoomed in. The game is worth [the money] big time.
Easily the best game ever

My sister has a game boy color and plays this game all the time. While I'm not quite the gamer she is, I can say it is well worth the money. Here are the best things about the game:
1. It is great for beginner and advanced players. I am not that grea at video games but I have made it all the way to level 8-2 (8-4 is the last level). But once you pass certain levels in the game, you get extra games- you can play against your friends, play against the computer, or skip to any level and find Yoshi and extra coins. And there's even a whole extra 32 level expert game! My sister is great at the game but she still hasn't beat all the bonus levels.
2. Good graphics and great sound. The graphics are great for a Gameboy and the music is fantastic.
3. Bonus levels. Like I said before, there are dozens of extra levels so the game never gets old.
4. Extra surprizes. There's a calender, photo album, and more, although typing is hard and takes awhile.
5. Not too pricey. All these features for this price? Excellent!
This was the first game my sister had on her game boy and it is the first anyone should have. This game, by the way, was rated one of the best games of all time by Nickelodeon's Games and Sports magazine. I think it's THE best.

The Original 1985 mode has 32 levels, the Challenge mode has the same levels except each with its own 5 red coins, a Yoshi egg and a high score for you to beat!
