I bought this game the other day thinking it would be a good game the only reviews that I had seen were good reviews. Well I disagree. I played the original game on my NES which I still have. The game is awful. The grafics are good but the game play is not nearly what I thought it would be. I would think that nintendo would spend more time on game play than grafics on this one. As a matter of fact Mario is stuck in the castle for 7-4. There doesnt seem to be anything in the castle and he runs out of time before he gets to the end of the castle.
Mario it's for Gameboy color but it's the same old Mario

Well this game has a few changes to the original game. Like you get to race Boo the ghost once you beat his scroce on 1 player. Also with the link cable you can race your friend to see who ever beats the level first. Also with the race you can use the fireballs when your Fire Mario and blow your oppement off the screen. I never really did 2 player before but that's what I heard. You can hunt for red coins. There are 5 in every level. It's a nice challedge going to find them all in all the stages. And of course I would never not include this you can do stages what are harder then regular stages. By pressing on Luigi head when the game finished loading up. But you will have to beat Luigi scroce in the origanal game to get that. But the rest is all the same doing the exact same origanal game. It's okay but that's the only changes to the game. I my self in some ways would radder get it for Super nintendo. Then you have a bigger screen and everything. It really get annoying and your stomach starts hurting after straining your self in front of the Game boy screen for a cumple of hours. But all and all it's nothing wrong to have almost the same game. I mean the origanal Mario game is still good and this one has a few changes. So this game okay auctally I perfer it for you if you go on lots of trips. Because remember Game boy is portible. So it's an okay game if you like mario type games.

This game is really fun. If you're looking for a game boy game this is the one to pick. There are 32 fun levels. The last 4 levels are the hardest but they're all possible if you really try. You can be Mario or Luigi. It has little challenges, vs.games and print-outs. You guys should get this game. It's the best!
Can't stop playing

My daughter is 6 years old and she really likes this game. It is so much fun and there are so many different levels that you won't get bored-I feel some games you are left wondering if that is all it can do. This one has so much and you won't want to stop playing it.- another favorite is frogger. The con to the game is that in some scenes it is dark. We have yet to get to rescue the princess. Have fun.

It is a lot like the original game, however it has a lot of added features. I thought I had beaten the entire game when suddenly a new item appeared on the main menu, and it was the entire game over again, only it was a lot harder. There are also features like racing and multiplayer versions. I like this game because it isn't a game you can just sit down and finish in a few minutes.
A great port of a NES classic

This game is one of the best on the GBC. First, there's the original 1985 game mode, almost an exact copy of the NES game (ex. you can't get to the negative world in this game), Next, there is the challenge mode, where you can get certain medals. Third, there is the You vs. Boo, a race, and fourth, the Super Mario Bros. for Super Players, which is Super Mario Bros 2: The Lost Levels (Japanese Mario Bros. 2. If you played or have Super Mario All-Stars for SNES, then you should've played this). There is also a Album, with awards, pictures, and a Toy Box with a ? room filled with Toads, calendar with ranges from year 1 to 3000, fortune teller, and Yoshi Egg Finder which is self-explanitory. If you have a GBC (or GBA), this is a MUST BUY!
A masterpiece that should be on everyone's wishlist!

Since I have a NES already with Super Mario Bros., I wondered how much I'll really enjoy the game. I sure as heck did! Added onto the nearly perfect recreation of the Mario classic is the You vs. Boo racing game, a game link cable race challenge, challenge mode, The Lost Levels, Toy Box, photo album, and even a calender! Though the graphics are richer than the original, it is still 8-bit and the challenge and secrets stay the same! This is a great game for the GBC as well as a good piece of Mario memorabillia! A MUST BUY FOR GBC OR GBA OWNER!!!

Super Mario Deluxe is a game that you don't need to think about while you're playing. It has eight worlds, a challenge level, racing against Boo,(if you beat Boo enough, he'll change colors,) and extra courses. It requires no skill to play, and is nice to play when you have had a hard day. Once you beat everthing, though, it sometimes gets boring for a while.
